TLC (Mona's) Is my favorite Estate Sale Co. Consistently the homes they service have good items at reasonable prices. As just a shopper I give them high marks...they organize, mark and display items with thought. It is tempting to give an Estate Co good marks because they give great deals. However, the thing I notice is TLC is the rare company that balances the prices they give shoppers and the money they are able to get for the home owner. I like to shop their sales BUT if I were hiring a company to conduct a sale at MY house they would be the first I'd contact because they know that they need to respect BOTH the shopper and the homeowner who has hired the. Plus, I always get such a nice friendly welcome from BeBe, Christie and Alex. read more

The two women in charge acted like mini dictators, played favorites, were accusatory, rude and generally acting like bullies. They billed me then said they missed an item (which truly they didn't so I got charged without taking the item, they accused me of changing the marked price for a $15 plant, they accused me of changing prices talking with their staff, not having help) and Mona Staso literally got in my face repeatedly that they could not help me move a couple of plants while they had helpers offering assistance to everyone to load items or take them away). Very unprofessiona!! The pictures of the armchair I suggested to pay $75 was damaged beyond repair. The gaslighting when it came to pricing on the last day on defective items was scandalous. read more

Last week, I acquired a vehicle through TLC Estate Transition. The vehicle was listed on FB Marketplace and they were effective in communication followed by subsequent in person meeting (in public place). The person who handled the car was Greg and was helpful and patient. It was my largest purchase from a complete stranger and I was hesitant initially. Mona is nasty and rude. Yelled at me several times and demanded I open my bag so she could see if I was "hiding anything" on my way into the sale. Why would I hide anything going into a sale? Also, Mona advertised an estate sale for four days when the City of Long Beach only allows sales for 3 consecutive days. Do not waste your time or money. read more

This review is in response to Moxie's review. I was standing in line and waiting at the same time Moxie R was. She was carrying her canvas bag and We were all asked to leave our purses and bags in our cars and bring our wallets only. The TLC owner/employee asked this woman to leave her purse in the car. She said it's not a purse. It's a bag. The employee/owner asked to look into it and discovered it was actually a purse filled with a lot of stuff plus her wallet. Another employee of TLC walked up and asked the lady how come she doesn't put her purse in the car like everybody else and Moxie responded because I don't want to. The other employee said if you don't want to put your purse in your car like everybody else then you can take your purse and leave. Moxie is wrong with her accusations, and TLC employee did the right thing, especially when we all are following the rules. I shop TLC often and have nothing but five star experiences with this company. Their employees are very respectful, kind and helpful. Employee or owner made racial comments about customers who tried purchasing a canvas bag. She made insinuation that their race was the reason they didn't purchase said canvas bag. I was a customer today at one of their estate sales. I came with my adult daughter and the staff were so energetic and compassionate. I have been going to estate sales by these great folks for YEARS! They always have fairly priced items and have been nothing but friendly and outgoing to everyone. They had a high end estate sale recently and asked everyone to leave their purses in their car and just carry in a wallet. Not a big deal to do and we were ALL asked to do this - no one was singled out. I've been to so many estates sales and seen the shoplifting that goes on because they can't station someone in every room. What they have to do is keep purses out of the sale as obviously they can't ask to search your purse when you leave. I have my money on me and a basket for my items and that's how you should go to any of these sales- not with a large purse. Don't blame the sellers when they are sick of being stolen from because you can't follow a simple request. Go elsewhere and don't come on here and try to destroy a business with a lie. read more

My fiancé and I went to an estate sale in Naples that they were having. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were looking for a T.V for our new apartment and they gave us a great price for a T.V that was big, fairly new, and in great condition. I do not recommend this company for hosting estate sales or for shopping their sales. The employees are incredibly rude making it an unenjoyable shopping experience. The employees have no customer services and are discriminatory when telling you prices. They also have outrageous prices charging more than even the most expensive thrift stores and do not due to their research when determining prices. I found this estate sale online and fell in love with a set of end tables & a modern art accent table. When I arrived there were estate sale signs on the surrounding major streets to point you to the house, they had ballons, pop up tent, and signs outside of the home as well. My first impression was that these guys are really well organized and good at bringing customers in. Items for sale were neatly arranged and prices were easy to access. I found the tables still available but I wasn't sold on the prices, a very helpful member of their staff asked if I needed any assistance, he'd like to give me a good deal. Long story short, I bought everything that I came for and more. I feel very good about the price I paid and the level of service that i received. read more

I would recommend many other companies before wasting your time at one of TLCs sales. First of all, they post photos of items they do not have as well as posting photos of areas they aren't even letting customers access such as garage and upstairs spaces. Secondly, if you are a reseller; do not even waste your time, the boss is this bitter ashy blonde old lady who charges what items are selling for on eBay, if not more. Never witnessed an estate co. renege on their own price stickers SMH. The estate sales was on Salta Verde today. I saw this woman (who seemed to be in charge) sitting on the couch. She was being rude, condescending and ignorant. I saw the sign for the sale near my sister's house and thought we'd take a walk over to see this what interesting things we could find. I walked out without buying a thing.
