I made contact with their on call emergency number & staff. After experiencing 2 days of these poor conditions and safety issues the response from the management was poor. The maintenance man who took my call about the emergency issues had his wife attack me verbally in the lobby. She was extremely verbally abusive and threatened me over 8 times. Once I announced I am NOT going to fight with you. I'm a adult who is peaceful I dont believe in war or fighting. She really throws a temper tantrum at this point. Yelling cursing and a full show. The disrespect was extreme. She was over eager to show how distasteful and ignorant she could be. After speaking with other managers about the abuse that her employees felt its ok to personally attack me with. The management proudly announced it's ok that she stretched the truth and attacked my family. Because she is a wife who is concerned about the mental health and well being of her husband. I in return told her if wives have a say then pick a time so my wife can speak with you. Her quick responce was well your wife is NOT on the lease and has apsoloutly no say in this conversation. Another manager removed her shoes & ear rings and called the police because she did not want my family in the building she could he heard yelling for blocks what do you mean you have a wife. My brother was on the way to visit me I simply told him I'm in the leasing office pull up to the black fountain. The manager said that pull up in Saint Louis means you want to fight. I simply announced My family will be moving out I'm not dealing with this foolishness. I over heard two employees say her brother is her sister hes wearing a dress & makeup. Girl all the men in that car have on dresses & makeup. They need to go they need to move. Once the police arrived I spoke with them. I requested that they walk my family to the elevator because it became clear that LGBTQ Americans are not respected nor are we safe at this location. I hired a maid & began the move out process. And the manager Britney decided to come to my unit daily and post notes on my door that she would like me to move out. I moved out 3 days later. I've never dealt with people who stretched the truth like these people. When they spoke to the police they forgot that all this started because the lights, internet, refrigerator, cable was NOT working and All I did was contact the leasing office because the water smelled like rotten eggs. On the voicemail was a emergency number that I contacted. Brittany had the gol to ask me. Why would u ever call the emergency number? My reply is and was. Because noone from your office would get back to me. Its your emergency number why put it on a voicemail if your not equipped to deal with such emergencies. Each time you give them a logical answer to a problem your met with a empty headed response that's anything but professional and productive.

They are very up front with you when touring on things that might be perceived as negative but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Free laundry, free pool during seasonal hours, amazing view, and a maintenance staff that goes out of their way to make sure requests are taken care of quickly. (1-3 days depending on urgency). Utilities are also included except for electricity (Ameren). The best part of Mansion House is the community of people. Everyone is welcoming of new residents and the apartment hosts monthly events (usually free or a very nominal fee) to allow residents the opportunity to meet each other. I definitely want to say thank you to everyone in the front office for their hard work and their dedication to not only myself but other residents. After my previous apartment experience in Chicago, I needed a place to move that I could call home. I could have moved to any city in the country basically and I am not a huge fan of St. Louis however I moved here because I found a place where I could finally enjoying living in an apartment. Mansion House has definitely made my St. Louis experience a pleasurable one.

Exposed brick, vaulted ceilings with original wood and metal detail throughout this old range/stove factory and warehouse, give the building charm and character. While we love the architecture, it does also come with the dry wall and "affordable" hardware one should expect in a loft in Downtown St. Louis. The staff is wonderful, and they've become friendly acquaintances. The units are affordable for what they are, and while gated parking is worth the $99/month in Downtown West, there is free, relatively safe (yes, there is the occasional smashed window) street parking all along Delmar and 20th, which is fairly rare with Downtown living (and very nice for guests! Never an issue with parking at all!). Overall, we've had a great experience and are planning to move into a larger unit with the intention of staying for 1-2 more years.

Leah was kind enough to send us pics & video and was extremely detailed in all the info she provided. Leah was always available to answer any questions & was so patient as I asked all the "mom stuff!" The building is so beautiful with historic charm & character! It's clean, has several amenities, and 24 hour concierge (Darius is top notch!). The covered parking garage is a plus & the building is secure. We also appreciate that all residents undergo background checks. The location is close to several attractions with many places within walking distance. The security in the building is probably the best you will be able to find downtown. Incidents are handled in a timely manner by the doormen and, if criminal, handled by the courtesy police officers. I do not have anything negative to say about this complex and their staff. The gym could be updated, but that is actually being done now! You will not be disappointed residing here. Over the past three years this complex has taken a huge dive down into the level of unacceptable conditions. It appears they will just about rent to anyone just to put people in apartments without any regard for adjoining tenants. The tenants above us were so noisy it was a contributing factor to our decision to get away. It was constant noise. If you make the mistake of choosing this place you will be alarmed at the apathy coming from their office personnel. Any questions we had was a bother to them. At one time they tried everything except the right thing when we were dealing with an extremely noisy bathroom fan. Once they even bent the blades to "fix" it. They never did fix our ice maker in the whole time we were there. Security is a huge issue as we were alerted to kids kicking on doors during the night. Unattended children walking onto private patios was a problem. A gate at the back of the property was never locked allowing strangers on city streets to walk right into the complex. Dumpsters were constantly overflowing and infested with raccoons. Watch out! Don't get bit. The property managers along with the office manager and staff are completely indifferent to your concerns and appear to try to get by with the minimum amount of work. In summation, save yourself the time of going here to visit or renting here. Some reviews from other apartments seem like past tenants were just getting back at their former landlords. THIS is not one of those. It is an HONEST review of what we put up with. We never knew how could it could be now that we are in our new place. These people have it figured out here. The people at Park Forest -- don't have a clue!!

For the price you can find something better on Washington…read more PROS: clean, safe building, mostly quiet, insulated from the noise of other units (mostly), very spacious, newer appliances, washer and dryer included, covered parking option for additional cost, of course location CONS: amenities are nonexistent (no gym or fitness center, rooftop has a small pool and is small in general, the outside call box never works so if you have guests you have to come down and let then in, office staff is rarely available and other than the manager never knows what's going on, the main elevator is out of order every other week (literally), pet friendly and you can tell by the smells on the floors, there are private owned lofts mixed in so if you ever have a concern with one of those residents there is literally no recourse. For the price I would look elsewhere for a better deal.
