This area of the park is fun, nostalgic, and full of whimsy. If you're not looking for major thrills or are traveling with kiddos, the rides here are perfect for you. I think the absolute insanity that is the Cat in the Hat ride is tied for top fave with Dr. Seuss Trolley. The trolley rocks because you get a great, relaxing view of the park. Cat in the Hat has aged into a very trippy feel that honestly cracks me up. My only complaint of this area is a bit similar to how I feel when I come across the Dr. Seuss books themselves--I almost don't want to touch things because they look a little old and sticky. read more

Great for the kids and adults that are kids at heart or just Dr. Seuss fans - the decor is wild, the rides have very long lines... and meet & greets very exciting for the kids, but also long lines. I feel like that was the theme of the day... many of the rides like the slow trolley ride elevated around the zone... not great for older kids necessarily. This area for toddlers and young kids. We skipped since ours outgrew the interest had no interest. Lots of slow, easy rides to avoid scaring the kids. read more

Seuss Landing is one of my favorite areas at Universals Islands of Adventure. There are a lot of activities like rides, shops, and dining locations at Seuss Landing. Rides: The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride: This is a slow-moving trolley ride. There are two different tracks for the ride. You'll get to see the entire theme park of Seuss Landing and other areas of Universal Islands of Adventure! The Cat in the Hat: This is one of my favorite rides at Universals Island of Adventure. You'll go through an adventure based on the book for the Cat in the Hat! It's a slow ride, but the animatronics are amazing! It was so much fun! One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish: This is a slow ride that allows you to maneuver up and down in a flying fish! This area was themed very well and I can see being a hit for those of all ages; though I wish there was a thrill ride attraction selfishly. Legions of kids and adults (like myself) love the Dr. Seuss books, and Seuss Landing does a fabulous job bringing characters and wacky ambiance to life. For families visiting the Islands of Adventure theme park, Seuss Landing is ground zero for little kids. Seuss Landing gives the youngest kids their own delightful 10-acre zone but because we didn't have any kids with us we really only came to Suess Landing for the Green Eggs & Ham tater tots and the bookstore. While I'm an adult I was thankful I wasn't standing out like a sore thumb because I wasn't the only adult without a kid exploring the area. If you love Dr. Suess, adult or child, Suess Landing is a great place to stop. read more

This is the section of Islands of Adventure that you will spend the majority of you time if you have little kids. It has a very nice play area in the front, If I Ran the Zoo, with obstacles and interactive equipment. With a 2 and 6 year old, I definitely spent most of my time here. All of the rides in this section are based on Seuss books and are geared towards little kids. the rides includes Cat in the Hat, the Caro-Seuss-el, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! There are also some fun dining options here including Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous, the Green Eggs and Ham Cafe, Moose Juice, Goose Juice, and the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop. My favorite was the the Green Eggs and Ham Cafe. It was quick and had some unique Seuss theme food options from Seuss's classic book, Green Eggs and Ham. This section is very colorful and has many opportunities to see Seuss characters such as the Things, Whos, and the Lorax. I visited during the holiday season and I got an extra bonus. The area was decorated in Christmas and they had Grinchmas going on which featured a broadway style play called the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, offered holiday pictures with the Grinch and had Whos dressed in Christmas attire singing carols around the section. You will not find a shortage of shops selling Seuss merchandise. One ride even exits through one of the shops. They have t shirts, sweat shirts, blankets, hats, and other little trinkets, and yes, of course at tourist prices. And if you were wondering, I could not get the littles out of there without buying something. I may be a bit biased because my kids loved this section and this is where we spent most of our time, but oh well. The area is very clean, colorful and well constructed and you feel like you have actually stepped in Whosville. They paid attention to detail. If you look around, you will find a few, if any, straight lines in the there. You may not find this section as enjoyable as I did without any tax deductions tagging along. You would probably skip this area entirely and focus you attention on more thrilling sections with extreme rides. read more

As you enter Islands of Adventure and Seuss Landing... prepare to be swept away into the Cat in the Hat Lorax Red Fish Blue Fish Seuss fantasy land! It really does feel like an entirely different world In Seuss Landing, even from the other parts of the park. They really did so well in creating this section. I can't even imagine how it feels for a kiddo here, because as a young adult it fills me with an indescribable joy. All the colors and little quotes from the books spread out across the park, it all is just so whimsical and fun. There are a couple rides here that are very kiddy but can still be fun: Cat in the Hat, Seuss Train, the Seuss Carousel and I might be missing on other. The good thing too is those rides usually have a very short wait. This is just such a fun little section of park! It's also a faster shortcut when you're trying to go between the entrance and HP world! read more

As a father of Thing 1 and Thing 2, Seuss Landing was a fun spot for the kiddos. It felt like I was walking through the storybooks I have read a hundred of times. I really enjoyed taking my family here and letting them ride the carousel and a small little rides for kids and just seeing all the nostalgia books from my childhood come to life. We have spent a lot of time in this section of the park. This is my inner-child dream come true! If this had been built when I was little, I would have begged, pleaded, to come here! I love all of the attention to detail how they have taken all of the their classic characters and books and recreated it into an attraction for all ages. They have rides, shops, food, and characters to visit. If you like photo opps, there are sooo many here. If you want to feel like a Who in Whoville, this is the place! We visit this area multiple times a visit. This is also a great place to take a rest from the more adventurous rides or the heat of the day. Due to COVID, not everything is available. The children's play area, which we love, seems closed for the time being. Not all of the food offerings seem open either. My daughter is a bit distraught, she really wanted a Hop on Pop ice cream sundae bar, but there is still plenty to do here for the entire family. My kids are older and they still want to stop here for the rides. They also seem to have ample restrooms! This is important! Potter world seems to have less, and you pass here on the way, so best go here before you get to the craziness that is Potter! read more

If you or your kids are a Dr. Seuss fan, then this area is for you. I was never the biggest Seuss fan, but even I can appreciate the area and look. There's a lot of little things as well as big things to look at. A few shops, eateries, rides, and some character meets (when weather permits). It's not a huge area, but easily enough to walk around and take/experience everything. If you're with kids, expect to be in here a longer time - if you're not, you still need to of course walk through to get to the next area regardless. There was a lot of work put into this area and it shows with the detail. Of course not being the biggest Seuss fan, I was stuck in one outdoor spot due to the massive hour plus downpour with the same Seuss music playing over and over and over and over again. Not their fault of course, but surely not the ideal place to be stuck in if you're not a Seuss fan. While I didn't eat anything in this area, I did browse the shops. They have a good variety of Seuss merchandise for theme park prices and most should find what they're looking for. Located in the Islands of Adventure part of Universal Orlando, between the Harry Potter area and Marvel Superhero Island. Overall a nice area - again, especially if you are a Dr. Seuss fan. You can forget you're actually in Universal when you're in here. Easily worth some time spent. read more

We went here for the 1st time visiting family on 2/9/18 and enjoyed our experience, growing up on reading Dr. Suess books, having green eggs and ham on Dr. Suess Day at school, who remembers that? Not to mention my favorite Christmas movie is How The Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey and the cartoon original film is a classic as well! Now as an adult I enjoy reading the stories to my daughter who loves the books, so it's was really special taking her here to experience the park! Our daughter loved the Caro-Suess-El ride, she had a big smile on her face and was waving at everyone she saw passing by, so cute! We went in one of the shops and they had children's Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts, how cute that would be on twins! They also had little doors small enough for kids to enter the shop, love that! Aside from the grinch, my favorite place to visit is the Honk Honkers store for cotton candy. They. Are. HUGE. A dream come true as a cotton candy lover though I must say, the wait can be extremely long. I'm a big Dr. Seuss fan and enjoy walking through this part of the park. Everything is so colorful and filled with my favorite Seuss quotes.

I'm far from the target age for this area of Islands of Adventure, but I loved me some Dr. Seuss as a young 'un and it was fun to walk through. I got my elderly parents on the Cat in the Hat ride as there was almost no wait so why not? It's a great ride for young kids and a nostalgia trip for kids of all the ages. The overhead Seuss trolley looked like it gave some great views but my Mom and Pops kind of made smirky faces when I gently suggested riding it. I kind of felt silly about it anyway, so that killed that idea. It would be nice if IOA had something that elevates you for viewing the park that wasn't themed to young tykes. A sky ride with gondola cars rolling across wires would be so killer in this park. I know they're bygone attractions and very expensive to maintain but Universal has shown they're not afraid to break the bank with some of the stuff they've done. Just think about it, guys! Every amusement park worth it's salt needs an area for young kids and Seuss landing seems like a pretty good one. read more

The first land you will end up at in Islands of Adventure if you make a right at the entrance. I will say if you really want a treat come here at Christmas time when the entire Seuss Landing is transformed for Grinchmas. It is truly a magical place. One of the hidden gems here is the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Ride. I recommend riding this during the day and at night. It gives you a breathtaking view of the entire park and there are two different tracks that you could end up being on so you can see a different show each way! If you are there around Christmas time make sure to not miss "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" performed live. Also do not forget to stop by and meet the Grinch himself! He truly feels just like Jim Carry. Right out of the classic movie. There is even a book store where you can buy all the old Dr. Seuss books.
