The entire experience was flawless. Give them a try. The glasses lady is wonderful and very knowledgeable about her inventory.

My 9:15 appointment began at 10:15. it was not over until 11:30. it began with the receptionist demanding a $75 fee for a refraction. I am there for glaucoma treatment, I've never had a refraction there, and I refused to pay for a treatment I wouldn't and didn't need. She pushed back hard. I like Dr. Campbell there very much. but the support staff that surrounds him has gone significantly downhill since Quigley was absorbed into The Eye Associates. I will be looking for a new provider after almost 10 years as a customer of Quigley. read more

They have no sense of empathy nor sympathy first and foremost! My husband and myself have spent literally 50 hours in phone calls and messages in order to get an eyeglass script for new glasses in which Dr Campbell's office seems to have a "problem" with receiving faxes..... obvious since Dr Abram's office sent it multiple times. It also took 7.5 hours for Dr Campbell to review the suggestions from Dr Abram's ... very disappointed since I spoke with the office staff (Debbie)relaying our dire need for this script in order to get new glasses. I asked for the script to be faxed to me, of course they said "I'll fax it right now".....of course that never happened. So long story short if you want empathetic, caring, sympathetic and most of all ethical feelings/behavior from a doctor do not repeat do not use "these people". Just for the record I am in healthcare and this is not how you should treat people. You're just a NUMBER with Dr Campbell. So SAD! read more

This is now the eye Associates of Florida or whatever name they are going by now. Bottom line stay away from any of their affiliate offices. If I could give them zero stars I would. Long story short version-I had cataract surgery scheduled. I called them up when I realized I had a major conflict on my calendar. The surgical coordinator apparently left and instead of having her email forwarded, apparently they canceled her account... I realized that she had all my follow up visits wrong and there was no information about the drops and how to get them and what I could expect. plus they did a procedure which I did not want, and then they sent me a bill saying that I owed them money. I had to get my insurance company involved. Eleven attempts to reach their office via phone, email, call Center, website, patient portal, and in person... No response- zero. I filled out their form to get my records Emailed to me. Nearly 2 months later - I still don't have my records The only person I heard from was the surgery center the day before my surgery..... imagine their surprise. Don't go here! One year ago I walked in to this eye center and was told they had to cancel my appointment, and I was called the day before. Then when I explained to the woman at the counter I did not receive the call she said "Because I did not respond to the call they canceled my appointment." The reason I drove across town is my fault for not checking my voice mail. I raised wouldn't accept this lame excuse for their mismanagement they found an opening for me. Today 12/06/2024 I went for my annual check up and the same thing happened again. The gentleman in front of me was told the same thing I was told last year. After he walked out upset they told me the same thing. With a scripted voice she said the same to me. I spoke up and told her to stop putting the responsibility on the patients and own their mistakes. They once again found an opening for me. Then 2 very old women approached the counter and they said the same thing to them. They have no problem making people drive to them and blame them for not rescheduling. OFFICE EXPERIENCE: Quigley purchased Community Eye Center in Pt. Charlotte, Fl. I just received a bill for services over 2 1/2 yrs. ago. We have a Medicare advantage plan and our annual required eye exams were paid for in full. I am having to waste my time as they did not return my calls and even their own employees are not able to get through to the billing department, I wonder why. When you purchase a company, you are due to conduct due diligence on the financial reports and details of the company. They must be incompetent to accept account receivables that are over 2 years old as valid without any confirmation and to just a bill to the client sucks big time. Your customer service leaves a lot to be desired and I am currently reviewing if your act of billing an invalid account receivable is in fact legal. Talk soon! read more

My husband has been going to this location since we moved here. I just found out that they do not give a Pupillary Distance on their prescriptions. In order to order glasses from anywhere online you need this number!! How is it that you pay $75.00 for a test and they cannot provide this #, so unless you get glasses directly from them, you need to get this number. My husband will not be going back to Quigley on Veterans in Port Charlotte again! We might as well go to Eyeglass World where they you all the services you need and less expensive too!!! read more

I strongly feel that I have to write a review of this poor excuse of an eye doctors office. I called to make an appointment a week ago because I needed a new ophthalmologist since we moved here. I'm pretty sure this place outsources their appointment desk. It took forever on the phone to make the appointment because the gentleman on the other end of the phone barely spoke English and isn't even geographically familiar with southwest Florida. I provided all of my insurance information and had to make an appointment down in Fort Myers because the locations up here were booked out for a month. I'm down to my last set of contact lenses and they just now called me a day before my appointment to tell me they don't accept my insurance, even though there wasn't an issue when I made the appointment. I went there for a specific test and I received an entirely different test which caused me damage to my eye that they had to provide antibiotics to me for. I then had to return several days later for the actual test I needed. Several days missed work for healing and appointments... And they had the audacity to bill me for a test that they should have never have given me to begin with Still waiting for my manager call back. read more

Well, I had a 10:40 am appointment today. Arrived early and check-in went fine. 45 minutes later after every single person who was waiting when I arrived and every single person who arrived after me was escorted to the back and I was alone in the waiting room, I left. Just walked out. Someone made a decision to keep bypassing me. So, now I am looking for a new eye specialist. Too bad as my doctor is great. The problem is the office management. read more

First, I had an appoint set 3 weeks ago and it was cancelled the day before becuse the peice of equipment they needed to perform the test with was broken. They said they would call me to reschedule when it was repaired or replaced. After 3 weeks, and not hearing from them, I called them. The specific piece of equipment had been repaired but they couln't explaing why I hadn't been contacted. Then, they wanted to schedule me to come in and be tested one day, but come back another day to go over the results with the doctor, instead of doing it all the same day as had been done in the past. Secondly, my wife also sees them. They had been telling her for 2 years that she needed cataract surgery. So when she went in for her recent appointment, she said she was ready for the surgery. But she was told the test done by the tech didn't show a need. She asked for another test by another tech but was told she would have to pay for it as insurance only paid for one test a year. The doctor couldn't explain the difference between the recent test and the two from the prior two years but didn't seem interested in looking into it. read more

Gotta be the worst experience I've ever had.i needed emergency glaucoma surgery it took them a month and a half to get to a specialist after loosing some vision in left eye.aafter a month an a half they told me my surgery would cost 2000 bucks only to find out after scheduling it that they raised the price to 35 hundred bucks then to beat all a day before the surgery they call me outa nowhere to cancel my surgery. Talk about a poor review I give them a big zero. If you love your eyes then stay away from Quigley eye specialists you might end up loosing your vision . read more

Stay away. Pathetic business practices. They called me the day before to ask me to please arrive early for a 1pm appt. for paperwork (which they had never mentioned before). I did. When I got there, they were closed for lunch and would not return until 1pm! When the door was finally opened, the front desk attendant had a nasty attitude and treated us and others waiting with noticeable distain. All of that was totally annoying but forgivable, what is not forgivable is that I specifically asked for one glaucoma test only and they totally ignored the request and started other testing which I had previously had done a week before at another optometrist who referred me to Quigley specifically for this test. Ended up walking out. Will never recommend them and will never go back. read more

I've had eye problems since I was a child that reaches outside the scope of just glasses. I had procrastinated as an adult for follow up care until I found Quigley. I felt like I was getting so much more than an eye exam. They really wanted to know my history and how they could help me and ensure that my eyes are healthy long-term. I feel like the staff is very caring and supportive as well as the doctors. I'm glad I have somewhere that I can call when I have concerns about my eye health. read more

Do yourself a favor and find yourself another eye center. This place is the worst when it comes to keeping their appointments. Within a 6 month period, my eye appointment was rescheduled like 5 times. Seems like Dr. Nika Priest-Allen has better things to do than to keep her patients appointments. read more

I certainly wish I could leave a better review for this place but I find it incredibly hard to when this business terminated my pregnant wife just because she had to take me to the emergency room on a Friday morning where I ended up needing emergency back surgery, it is quite a shame as well due to the fact that myself and my parents as well as other friends and family need to see an eye doctor and we all planned on using Quigley up until this happened, I hope the higher ups see this and try to make things right seeing as this put us in a major financial burden with loosing an income and myself being on disability due to my back surgery and also on top of it, it put unnecessary stress on my wife who is now well into 4 months into a high risk pregnancy. read more

Made an appointment with Dr. Nika Priest-Allen for checking my glaucoma since moving from Texas 3 years ago where I was first diagnosed. This Quigley office was a 45 minute drive, and I arrived 10 minutes before time. I waited 25 minutes in a waiting room filled with obviously sick, coughing patients without masks; to be called in for first of 4 tests administered by 3 different assistants; none of which were wearing masks either. I asked one of them why no one was following COVID protocols; and he answered sarcastically: "because we don't want to "... ! This guy was a disgusting looking old man with festering, open wounds on his scalp; and I had the misfortune of having him put his hands on my face near the eyes to administer drops, etc....How can they hire such people? Another very young assistant (no mask again!) gave me visual field exam and had me wait 15 minutes sitting in front of machine waiting for it to boot up in a hot room while he left room..why couldn't he do that before calling me in?? This nonsense continues for the next 2 simple tests (photos of eye); where I was forced twice to return each time to that waiting room full of mask-less sick people for for 1/4 hr each. Finally after all this( 1 hr), I was put into another room to wait for Dr Priest-Allan(no mask); who breezed into room with another assistant(no mask) who kept putting more drops in my eyes; while Dr. P-A chattered away like a flippant teenager saying my visual field test was not valid and had to be repeated on another visit(?),, and she then checked my drainage rate in eyes, but didn't say what she saw; neither did she comment any of the other test results; and starts leaving room- saying "any questions ?"...I was so taken aback by this shoddy lack of patient concern(barely 5 minutes total of her time); that I couldn't even answer her. All this, mind you, when she can plainly see that I (77 hrs old) haven't been with an ophthalmologist for 3 years with glaucoma and possible cataract degeneration!. I wouldn't trust her to care for a sick cat! ..This Quigley Outfit is obviously a surgery-mill; I was questioned from the receptionist desk, and another assistant, asking me: "so you're here for your surgery today?" So, if you're not in need of such treatment, I strongly recommend you stay far away from them and Dr. Priest-Allen. read more

Avoid at all costs. They don't bother to let you know if you have insurance coverage or not for preventive exams. You get a bill in the mail six months later for $300 *for a routine exam!!*, AFTER you've paid your copayment at the time of the appointment. How can the front desk charge your copayment if you have no insurance coverage for preventive exams in the first place?? They have a duty to tell you if you have coverage or not for the service, instead of sticking you with a $300+ outstanding bill. You can get a routine exam at Walmart or Costco for like $50. Don't waste your money here. And btw the billing team doesn't answer the phone, they don't call you back after leaving a message, and they they also have full voicemail boxes when you try to call them again (since they never called you back in the first place). Absolutely terrible billing experience and not worth over $365 for a simple eye exam!! It's robbery. read more

After 8 years of excellent service here by Dr. Campbell I will no longer be returning to this place for my annual eye exam. Dr. Campbell and his assistant were great as always, the office staff nothing to brag about. When I was presented a bill that was almost double from what I have paid in previous years, I reminded her that I had no insurance, but she tried to tell me that this year's exam was more thorough than previous ones. Nothing could be further from the truth. She finally reluctantly reduced the payment fee a bit, but assuring me that next year I would just have to pay the full amount. This morning was our second encounter with Quigley Eye Center, the first time was making a call to make our appointment, I specifically wanted to see Dr. Campbell, and the gal said she thought Dr. Campbell had retired. I went ahead and made an appt anyway. When we arrived this morning we encountered Cassandra who was anything but warm and fuzzy....no Good Morning, how are you today? She asked us if we had appts, and we said yes, and she said to sign in and she would get to us in a minute. After about 5 minutes she got up to look at the sign in sheet, and she asked if we both had appointments...my response was yes, that is why we both signed in. She clearly needs some training in dealing with patients, or she clearly does not enjoy her job. The rest of the staff was pleasant enough. After our appointment we were not invited to go to the optical department, there was no hand over to the optical department absolutely nothing. I went into the optical department and asked if I could see what our insurance is, and there were two gals there, one brand new who was doing her best to help without much in the way of tools provided to her. The seasoned optician informed me that because my vision coverage was not stated on the back of my card, I needed to call my insurance and figure it out. When I made the appointment I specifically asked if my insurance was accepted there, and she said yes....turns out no. But I wouldn't return to that optical dept if you paid me. Poorest selection and quantity of frames. I am an optician who has run a successful one Dr practice for over 5 years, and have never provided the poor level of service I encountered at Quigley. Makes me think I should get back into my career! read more

Management really cares about their employees and try's hard to help and work with their schedules and needs. I love coming to work and meeting new People and we are always learning new things everyday. I really enjoy helping patients with their vision needs.
