I wanted to be objective when deciding where to have my cataract surgery, especially after comparing it to other clinics in town (including across the street and behind Dr. Peña's office). The service here was excellent -- far better than the others I've visited. I received my cataract surgery within just 10 days of my first appointment, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I'm so pleased with the results and the care I received. I'm even scheduled to go back next week for my other eye because I trust them completely. My overall experience was truly top-notch!

They were so accommodating. They were able to fit in appointments for my mom, my husband, and I the following week. Dr. Ollerich made us feel right at home. Seriously...Texas State Optical deserves it…read more From the moment you call to make an appt, to when you walk in the door and are greeted by the staff...to when you finally put on that new pair of glasses you've been waiting for! TSO offers the best customer service experience possible and you get great glasses to boot. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the staff and they checked me in. I only waited about 5 min before getting my eyes checked. Throughout the entire time, the young lady helping me was amazing. Extremely courteous... professional...and every other word that relates to customer service exemplified. I took in my old glasses so they already had an idea of my prescription. The doctor took me to the back for the eye exam and about 10 min later I was walking out. The staff then showed me which lenses I could pick from based off my insurance. After choosing the ones I liked, they said they should be ready in about 1 week. Well to my nice surprise they were ready for pickup the next day! When I went to pick them up they gave me the case with a spray and small towel to clean them with in a small bag with my name hand written on it. The devil is in the details but those little details win over customers. This feels like a fairly new optical... slightly small...but with it's amazing staff, great doctor, and top-of-the line customer service, it feels and is the best place to get your glasses.
