I was in desperate need to get my eyebrows threaded and I didn't feel like driving to my usual spot. So as usual I looked on Yelp for a place nearby with great reviews and stumbled across this place. She is located inside in room 6 when you walk in just walk to your right. She has a nice little waiting area. She does accept walks in but it's always best to book an appointment. It is the most I've ever paid for a eyebrow threading but I was very happy with the outcome. $20 eyebrow and $20 for eyebrow tint. She also accepts cards but prefers cash. Overall I love how natural my eyebrows look! Edit: I walked in today at 1:45 PM with no appointment. Yes I will own up to that. I was overhearing who did and didn't have an appointment and I know for a fact 2 ladies did not. Somehow I got over looked. I had to be somewhere at 4PM for wedding related planning and I had to leave at 3:40. I'm really angry how they handle walk in clients. Also they need a better system to know who is walk in and appointment clients. More than two hour wait is very unacceptable and the least they could've done is told me an estimated wait time as a courtesy. Unfortunately I will not return. I really liked this place and I was referring a lot of friends & family. They absolutely know what they are doing and do it very well. I had not done eyebrows in two years. Because my past experiences made me think there is no point giving your eyebrows in somebody's hand, let them screw it and pay them at the end. After a lot of courage and reading all the reviews I thought to give this place a try. I love coming to Sara! I found her while living in Houston and I still drive to her after moving to Alvin because it's worth it. I always get eyebrows and lip threaded and eyebrows tinted. All the hair on my face is very blond and hard to see but she does a wonderful job. After coming to Sara a few times my eyebrows really started to shape up and look fuller. She came up with the idea to blend two tint colors on my left eyebrow because one portion would never take the color properly, the point being that she is good at what she does! Sara has been doing my eyebrows for almost 15 years now! I have lived in different cities and have also made the mistake of trying different eyebrow threaders out here in Houston. There is no one that can do my eyebrows like Sara. About two years ago a I had cancer treatment that made my eyebrows very thin. They don't have any respect for the people who make appointments. Basically first come first served anyway. If you show up early for your appointment, they'll make you wait past your appointment time. No sense of customer service. Been to this place 5 times and every time they ask if it's my first time there. You're just another number to them - they don't even ask if you're satisfied. Once they're done, you're done. What a let down... Was excited to come to get my brows threaded thought it would be a more personal experience with actual shaping of my brow. I walked in and they just asked if I had an appointment or was a walk in and what I wanted done. Never even asked my name. Walked away while doing my brows MULTIPLE times. I specifically asked to keep my length and to keep as thick as possible Bc I'm growing out. She thinned them majorly and completely threaded away all of my new growth. Then at the end tried to convince me to tint my brow for an addition $20???? No thanks. And I'll be growing my brows out for another 2 months.... Still searching for a good brow lady. I have been coming to Sara for about one year. Today is a day that I am not sure that I will come back. She usually does a good job not a great job. Once she was done I noticed there was a hole in my right eyebrow. Now I did not walk in with a hole in my brow. I brought it to her attention and instead of admitting that it could have been a mistake on her part she proceeded to tell me that some times we lose hair. Well I think I lost the hair because you removed it, not because it fell out. Not only did she not admit a potential mistake she still charged me $20. Talk about little eyebrow miracle workers here!! The salon is a rented space in a larger building where many salons are. The salon itself is very clean and decorated super cute. There are two women who own/work in the salon. They are extremely friendly and funny. I made an appointment online and was able to get a same day appointment. The threading was AMAZING like life changing, mind altering and face changing. I've been having threading done for a while but Sara is by far the best. She was painless and really helped reshape and define my arch. I also did the eyebrow tinting which is NEXT LEVEL. I highly recommend this. It's completely painless - now I don't have to fill in my brows at all. I also did a eyelash tinting which I'm not sure I'll do again. To be fair, Sara didn't recommend it for me since my eyelashes are already dark but I wanted to try it out. I've been getting my eyebrows done here for almost a year, and I always walk out very pleased. No matter how busy the studio gets (which it can get busy), she always pays attention to detail and does a thorough job. I have pretty unruly eyebrows, but she helps my brows look very clean, full, natural, and even. You can tell she takes pride in what she does. I have very thick eyebrows, which is great except that they have a natural round shape that I've never gotten properly shaped (I've waxed and threaded before and it's never quite what I wanted). This studio DID THE TRICK! I got the arch I wanted without looking maniacal and she didn't try to up sell me on the tint when I asked her recommendation (she recommended no since my eyebrows are pretty full). This studio is tucked into a larger space that houses multiple spas, hair stylists, etc but there is plenty of surface parking and I was able to find the location fairly easily. I have been getting my eyebrows done by Sara for a year or so and I have always been very satisfied. However, after today I probably will not be back. Sara's work on my brows were ok, but she has done better. The past few times I've been I've had to do some touchups once I got to my car and for what she charges I expect more. Even my girlfriends have noticed that she isn't doing as good of a job as she used to. The most unsatisfying thing is that she has hired some other lady to thread everything other than eyebrows and she was not thorough at all and VERY painful!! I found Sara on Yelp and after reading her reviews I booked an appt. The shop is located in a building that he a lot of small salons set up for multiple beauty services. Her salon was small and intimate. My wait was minimal. There was one person in front of me. A few more people came while I was there who didn't have an appt so she does accept walkins. As far as the service, amazing! My eyebrows look beautiful! Perfectly shaped and tinted. Going from blonde to dark was a big decision made much easier once I had beautiful eyebrows to match. I started going to Sara due to the reviews on yelp. At the time it was $15 which was more than I was paying but I thought if she is that great then it might be worth the extra money. At first everything was great. I would make an appointment, go get my brows threaded and pay my $15, easy! I started to notice when I would go in for my appointment Sara would always ask me if it's my first time there? Now the price is $20. Whether you make an appointment or not your going to wait at least 30 minutes. Now they are not going to accept credit cards just cash only? So now I'm paying more, waiting longer and its less convenient for me on the method of payment? Sara is good but not that damn good. She just lost a customer. read more

First Time Experience So I had a horrible experience with getting my eyebrows waxed about a year and a half ago. (Not at this location it was at a nail shop) I decided to leave my brows alone and not get them waxed, threaded or cleaned up for about 18 months. I wanted to obtain as much hair growth as possible so that I could have a full thick brow with a nice arch. The time had finally arrived when I would let Sarah thread my brows. (My Sister had been raving about her services) I found a few pictures of the brows that I dreamed of and I showed the photo to her before she began. Sara asked me what services did I want.... I wanted to say just make my brows look like this! I didn't really know what services I wanted because she really didn't take the time to fully explain them to me. There were about six other ladies in the shop waiting to be serviced. She quickly began the process of threading my brows while she talked to her painter about painting her shop a different color for the new year. This all worried me!!! I thought for sure that my 18 month hair growth would be ruined as she worked super fast and held side bar conversations. I was pleasantly surprised that my brows were kind of pretty when she finished the job. They aren't a five star rating but they are at least a four. Sara brought out eyebrows that I never even knew existed! The best part, they look 100% natural! I have naturally light hair, so my brows have no dark color or definition at all. My daughter and I went to The Eyebrow studio by Sara for the first time today. We got eyebrow shaping and tint. We left looking like circus clowns with thick, long, unnatural jet black eyebrows. When we got home, we scrubbed as much as we could to remedy the awful look but we still look foolish. She will wear sunglasses and I will wear bangs for a few days until the dye fades. The only reason that I rated this disaster 2 stars is because under the awful unnatural dye is hopefully a nice shaped brow. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU HAVE YOUR BROWS TINTED HERE! read more
