Very friendly, welcoming and helpful team here. Best eye exam I have ever had, and that includes many places in major cities like New York City, Los Angeles, San Franciso, Houston and others. The only time I felt the doctor was giving an in-depth look at what was going on with my eyes. They offer you two additional exams that insurance does not pay for, but they are not expensive and worth it for the amount of detail analysis/images they are able to get on your eyes. I hate shopping and shopping for glasses is not remotely on my list of "favorite things" to do; however, she was very helpful and narrowed the type of styles I liked so I could pick what worked best for me. The women are very warm, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. However, I got a quote for one price and when I went to pick them up, it was almost $200 more than I was quoted over the phone. $200 more than I expected to pay. I don't think I will return. I came here with my husband to find a set of eyeglasses (post exam). The person working here that evening was great. She didn't get too involved until we were in need of help, and her advice about types of eye glasses to check out based on our taste and other needs was really helpful. She was not pushy in selling add-ons too, which was appreciated. Lastly, she helped us put in a claim form for vision insurance even though they do not usually support our vision insurance, which was much appreciated and should save us $100+. I went to the store in Ellington to buy glasses (already had a prescription). The service was extraordinary. Laura was very knowledgeable, patient, caring, and willing to answer any questions. She had no agenda and explained all my options. She helped me find the best price with my insurance. It was an entirely different experience than I've ever had at any eyeglass store. I love The Eyeglass Place!!! Dr. Guzik goes above and beyond for her patients. I had an eye injury a few months ago and had to make many visits over a short period. She always accommodated my schedule and even referred me to another doctor when she was out of town for a few days. She is so helpful and professional and is an overall great doctor. On the sales side of things, everyone at The Eyeglass place is experienced, knowledgable and extremely helpful. My husband had a pair of glasses stolen when we were in vacation a while back. I went in and even though we had not purchased them there, they rush ordered new lenses and had him in new glasses quickly. I recently had 3 new pair of glasses made...I trust them to help me pick flattering styles and the quality is great. They have a good selection of both designer frames as well as some more affordable frames. A very brief review since I didn't actually buy anything. One arm of my glasses fell off the other night at home and I couldn't find the screw anywhere, nor a tiny screwdriver to put it back in even if I did. We were originally going to stop and pick up an eyeglass kit but happened to walk right past this store. I went in and asked an employee if he'd mind putting a screw back in my glasses and he did it immediately, no qualms, no charge. Great customer service without me even being a customer. read more

I woke up with a blurry eye, bloodshot and they called in Dr. Lauren Guzik to meet me. Eye was (no pun intended) Examined, then assured to start with the over the counter cleanse, then given a prescription in case it digresses. On a Friday afternoon, I don't want to worry over the weekend. No matter how busy they are, they pay attention to every customer one at a time with their full attention and enthusiasm. If I could give less stars I would. I have been in there three times (for over an hour each time) & still haven't made my glasses right. Will not give refund so I am stuck with glasses I can't wear. I now have to go back to my eye dr to get another prescription because they cut it up so I can't reuse at another eyeglass maker. I have a VERY complicated prescription for my contact lenses. Denise and everyone at the Eyeglass Place have gone above and beyond to get me the best contacts I can get. They have ordered multiple trials for me and made many tweaks to get the perfect lens. I was going to The EyeGlass place for several years, but recently had some concerns. I had called in April sometime and asked to come in and have my script for new eyewear, when i asked if they wore masks the owner's response was no we don't wear them hear but we sanitize. My response was are you not worried about your customers, because you come in contact with many people, again her response was no we don't wear masks here. I could not believe how irresponsible this owner was with everything going on and decided to move on and look for another eyeglass place. The service was good BUT it clearly showed where this owners priorities stood and i will not give my business there any longer. Take a look at there website it hasn't even been updated to let everyone know they are taking safety measures to protect there customers, again this shows where there priorities are definitely NOT for there customers! read more

This is the best place in the area to buy your glasses. We have bought several pairs here over many years. I stopped in today because my glasses fell on the floor and were stepped on.
