I had a terrible experience here. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous--we waited over an hour after ordering and still didn't receive any food, while tables around us who arrived later were already being served. To make things worse, our waitress was extremely rude and dismissive the entire time. Her attitude alone made the situation even more frustrating. At one point, some of her comments even came across as inappropriate, which was completely unacceptable. Overall, the service was disorganized, unprofessional, and honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Service, just as the waitress gets to know the customers, management moves them to different dinners or most recently change the morning open waitress to different hours. This is very wrong. As a customer we know who we can get good service from and then there's to ones that don't take good care of the customers. I do believe most try to do their best but still lack the skills and enthusiasm to take care of their customers well. Our morning group has really lost this dinners business because of this changing things up. At today's prices you'd think we could get our Prefered waitress back on the opening shift. Maybe then those customers that have gone elsewhere might come back. We use to have a group of 8-10 and now there may only be 4-5. You'd think management could see this difference. read more

Me and my family went to The Factory Diner today in Farmington, Missouri and when we got there WE SAT DOWN AND WAITED 30 MINUTES and we didn't get asked for our order, NOT EVEN OUR DRINKS!! Whats makes it even worse is that the only waiter was going back and fourth at the other two tables that were next to us completely ignoring our table, THE ONLY WAITER WHO WAS WORKING BECAUSE THE OTHER WAITERS WERE IN FRONT FUCKING AROUND AND NOT DOING THEIR JOBS. We decided to get up and leave because they weren't serving us and when we told them why we were leaving and they told us "Just leave, We don't care." I understand that places can be busy on the weekends but you shouldn't give anyone disrespect like that and ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE ON THE JOB. I Adore This Place! Hidden spot within Farmington that as many times as I've been here have just found it. I Love Love Love it! My scrambled eggs were fluffy NOT greasy Yes! My bacon was crisp NOT burned or black and the French Taost was Fantastic Our server Hannah...the sweetest she was so patient with this traveler with many questions. Went in on a Saturday around noon with my girlfriend. It was seat yourself and saw a waitress had just cleared a booth, so we sat there. She brought menus and silverware. We ordered coffee & water for me and a sweet tea for her. Those were brought immediately but never refilled or even offered to. She ordered biscuits & gravy, I ordered a Denver omelet, hash browns and sourdough toast. All told the meal should have been there within 10 minutes if they were busy. Our waitress (shoulder length, bleach blond hair and shredded jeans) found the time to roll silverware, and multiple breaks, but none to check on us. There was zero management visible, not sure if they were even there. After 30 minutes of waiting, we found another waitress, let her know to cancel our order as we were going elsewhere. When we departed, our waitress was outside and on the phone. I have waited tables in my past so my review, while critical, is on point. I know the job can be stressful at times but this is unacceptable. We will not be returning to either location. read more

This is a hidden spot within Farmington that's in the old Factory shopping building on 1st street. This is a no never-mind spot that has ample breakfast selections if you're the breakfasting type. The service here is variable depending on the volume of business being done but the food is generally the same good quality every time we come. The food portions here are quite generous and quite a low price for what you're provided. Pancakes, waffles, and French toast here are quite delicious if you're looking for something sweet. The bacon here is crisp but not burnt, but really lacks a good smoked flavor if you're a bacon aficionado that appreciates a good smoked bacon. I typically will steer away from that and go with the sausage links, which are quite good. Today, The restaurant is not running well. The dining room is not that tidy and the service is pretty slow. We waited a good 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server just seemed overwhelmed and wasn't rounding well. Bathrooms are situated outside of the restaurant in the factory building and we're out of order on today's visit. Several other tables were twiddling thumbs and being pretty patient as well. Not the best showing and not generally this crazy. We've had better service on far busier days, so just an off day I guess. read more

I really want this review to be able to be better. This is pretty much the only real breakfast place in the area. I've tried the other location with a similar result. I've dined here multiple times and will say that the skillets have been really good and the pancakes and French toasts are good, but the wait staff all seem like they loathe their job, and have trouble keeping up with things like coffee refills or bringing the check in a timely manner. The hashbrowns for some reason and anything else grilled have had the same strange taste the last few times I went, as if the grill is in dire need of cleaning or grease, or something. I have hopes that they will improve in the future, but right now am up in the air about returning or where to eat breakfast in this area. read more

We were staying in town for the night and wanted a place with breakfast and lunch. This place was fantastic! The chicken fried steak was so crunchy and delicious. They cooked my husband's burger to order and he enjoyed it. The staff was crazy busy helping customers but they were doing it with a smile. (And that's hard to find now) Our waitress, Shawna was so kind and attentive. She did an excellent job! It was so nice to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal and feel welcomed. read more

I would like to leave a good comment, but I can't. We ordered waffles. They looked good, but were so hard we couldn't cut them, even with a knife, so I can't tell you about the taste. I told our waitress and she said that they have trouble with their waffle maker and there wasn't anything she could do. I ate there today for lunch with my husband and son. Factory Diner has an extensive menu, mostly full of breakfast choices. I can't comment on their breakfast because we didn't try it. All of us ordered burgers and fries. My husband and son ordered mushroom Swiss and I ordered a regular burger. The fries were ok, very similar in size and texture to McDonald's fries. The burgers had large 1/4 lb meat patties. They would have been ok except we all noted that the meat had an odd taste and smell like spoiled meat...not strongly, but enough to be noticeable and ruin the meal. I ate most of my fries, but only part of the burger. It was thoroughly cooked, so it was probably safe though far from enjoyable. My husband was so put off by the off flavor of his burger that he said he would never return. The service was courteous. However, when I asked the server questions about the restaurant or the menu, she repeatedly referred to it in third person ("THEY have a second location," THEY have breakfast and lunch items" and "THEY have a large menu", instead of "WE"). It was strange, and made me wonder if she normally didn't work there. When I asked her why she kept saying they instead of we, she stammered something that made no sense. So the dining experience wasn't just unpleasant, it was very strange. Only one other family was dining there. I didn't wonder why they weren't more busy. read more

Excellent omelette! Beverly was our server and was extremely friendly. She took great care of us. The omelette was large enough for my wife and I to split between us. Filling breakfast for two for only $10.02!! You can't find that anywhere, not even a fast food dump. The diner is located inside an old factory, hence its name, and is a neat little place. We were passing through Farmington early Sunday afternoon and were wanting breakfast so we Goggled and found this place. We had just a little trouble locating it but soon arrived. it is in an old factory building with lots of open ceiling and exposed mechanical that has a neat appeal. We got seated immediately and a nice young lady took our order for a gravy skillet for me, omelet for the wife and a short stack of pancakes to share. The food took a while to arrive but we were not in any hurry. When the food arrived is was just warm. the pancakes would barely melt the butter (which we had to request) and the toast was tough as were the pancakes that I had to saw through with the knife. I've always said it is hard to mess up breakfast if you will just get it out hot. That did not happen. They were nice and the price for all that and drinks was under $20 so 3 stars. read more

Jennifer was only on her 3rd day on Mother's Day. She was swamped and she never missed a beat. She did an amazing job for us and even clarified our order to make sure she got it right. I give her a 5, but the kitchen has trouble with special orders on normal days and when it is as busy as it was today it is hard to get things special. First time visit to Farmington, and boy, were we WOW'ed by this diner! Loved this place! They take breakfast to a whole new level. I had the Farmington Omelet and a side of biscuits and gravy. So so good! My husband had the Double Up Waffle Breakfast and he is still beaming. Their portions were huge and the food was spectacular. Kristen, our server, was super friendly and provided wonderful suggestions on the menu-which were spot on. We were served within 5 minutes. Ironically, out of all the breakfast places I've tried, the food here tastes the least like it was made in a factory. This is hands down my favorite breakfast restaurant. I eat here every time I take a trip down to Southern Missouri and pass through Farmington. It's cheap, too! You could get two meals here for the price you'd get one at an average diner. read more

We like to go here for brunch or breakfast. The food is very good and inexpensive but the service is usually good to below average. Not a big fan of their omelets because they are flat and overdone. Everything else that I have had is very good. The atmosphere is very family friendly and non smoking is a bonus.
