Really like this place. First , in COVID times, it had energy when entering. The place was full (compared to what I have seen elsewhere) and the staff, and food was great. They even got me a replacement mask when mine broke. We tried some gooey fries and a flat bread that went really well with the beer I choose, but everything on the menu looked good. Jake and Brian always make you feel welcomed! Besides the great hospitality, the food is delicious - including their late night menu! All their cocktails hit the spot depending on your mood and spirit of choice for the day. They have a very full bar and TVs if you wanna catch a game. I enjoy the happy hour prices. The gluten free options are great. I've tried the charcuterie and cheese plate, the tacos, a couple different gluten free flatbreads and various drinks. Minus it feeling a bit toasty inside I really enjoyed my visit here and I wish The Fairmount wasn't so far away from us west siders! I stopped in because of Cleveland Burger Week. They offer their Fairmount burger on their regular menu so you can get it any time. Since I was there during happy hour the burger was only $7, but my server did me a solid and without me asking gave it to me for $5 since I was there so close to the event start date. You betcha that savings went towards a bigger tip for him! Now let me tell you, this burger was freaking delicious! It is currently rated at the top out of four burgers I have tried so far for this event. The burger comes with a medjool date and lardon chutney, brie cheese, crispy shalots, and a side of their house sauce. So juicy and full of flavor! You definitely need to try this one! I also got a cup of their chicken paprikash soup $5. This was tasty as well, just would have been easier to eat if the onions and peppers where chopped into smaller pieces. Great atmosphere for a date night or to catch up with friends. On a Tuesday afternoon at around 5:30/6ish we were able to be seated right away. We came for happy hour and the deals were so worth it! $3 draft beers and I also heard that the cocktails were great. My roommate got the shrimp tacos and the chicken tacos - which she says are her favorite. I got the Fried Chicken steam buns - which although not authentically Asian were still really good and crispy! Overall pros: Great atmosphere, cheap and quality happy hour, great selection of drinks, parking in the back Cons: If you're extra hungry or require a large serving size, you may need to order several things to get full. I have been here 2x in recent weeks. Let me start out by explaining that there are 3 rooms, a lounge area, and probably the best patio on the East side. They have a killer eclectic menu with something for everyone. Some of my favorites are the Ahi tuna tacos, hanger steak with chimi churi, and the brussel sprouts. Oh and they offer the tuna taco in a lettuce (tortilla). Efn fantastic. They make a pretty bad ass cocktails. I usually go with a slightly dirty martini or a bourbon on the rocks, I know you bourbon snobs probably disagree with the rock parts. Service is always amazing. This is fo sho one of my favorite spots on the east side. Perfect to meet friends, a date or just to grab a bite. read more

I really wish they would have kept the menu from a year or so ago. The new one is not great. I say this after trying the new menu on a few different occasions. One reason, a couple of the meals I received were very spicy and labeled incorrectly. Second reason, quality is just not as great. Biggest concern: they no longer have fried ice cream. We are locals, we love the vibe and the drinks and the staff. But food is no longer on our list. We say this with love, we had our first date here and we come back regularly. This place has an absolutely outrageous happy hour. The food is excellent and all in the $6-10 range. I'm talking great fries, burgers, sandwiches all for extremely reasonable pricing. They also have pitcher drinks which is great for groups. The moscow mule pitcher was decent. The ginger beer was not spicy enough for my taste, but the drink overall was enjoyable. It wasn't extremely strong, but that is okay when you're have 4-5 cups of the stuff for each person. For a group of 4-5, it is probably about 1.5-2 moscow mules. What really makes The Fairmount is the setting. Pretty seating area with dim lighting which makes for a great after-work atmosphere; really winds you down. They had the fire going which we couldn't be more thankful for as we came in from the blistering cold. One downside was the noise, it tends to get fairly loud, so if you have a big group (8-10), you may not hear half the group. They also take reservations during happy hour! So between the food, prices, and atmosphere, it is a Cedar-Fairmount favorite. read more
