Came here by recommendation. Definitely a down home relaxed feel. The wait staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! The provide 3 different sauces "vinegar based" a signature, sweet, and spicy. The spicy really isn't too hot, but I thought sweet was best. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good, could use a little more smoke flavor. The onion rings weren't bad, but I think they could have been just a wee bit crisper. The beans were amazing, and so were the cheesy potatoes!!! Oh and Holy Moly sweet tea that actually tastes like tea!!!! The topping on the cake was the price! I've always been a fan of this restaurant as it's been in London/Russellville since I can remember. The food is good, but don't expect award-winning BBQ. I always get the Pulled Pork Plate which comes with two sides and a slice of toast. The portions are big so come hungry. They do have a nice bar area and the patio is nice for enjoying a drink on a nice day. The service has always been great and the food never takes long to come out. read more

I went in with high hopes that this was gonna be some good BBQ. It was not. I ordered the two meat combo with brisket and ribs. First the brisket was the most rubbery chewy brisket I have ever had. It was so rubbery that it couldn't be torn apart with a fork and barely with a knife. I can't tell if they overcooked it or pulled it too fast. It also had that weird rainbow coloring you see on buffet beef that's been out too long. Second the ribs. Same issue. Not fall off the bone tender. Very firm. Very tough. Sides were good. But that was about it. Prices are great but when you can't eat the meat it's not that good. They never even asked if we enjoyed our food. read more

The staff was great I sat at the bar because there was no wait. I ordered ribs and brisket with onion rings and cheesy taters. The taters were good the onion rings were hand made from the looks of it and were good as well. The sauces for the BBQ were really good as well. I did get there later around 730 so the brisket was really dry and I even asked them to make sure it was most and fatty. The ribs were about the same they tasted great just a bit dry for my taste. Solid place to come get some bbq! Right off of the highway so very convenient to anyone making the drive. The place definitely feels like a local legend with a lot of people in there around lunch time. Service was fast and friendly. I got a special that comes with tater tots, pulled pork and a side of green beans casserole. They weren't really crispy tater tots but more casserole like. The bbq spicy sauce on the side was very good. There was plenty of comfortable seating inside. They do a unique special every day. The brisket looked excellent as well. I ordered the hot link and was surprised that I received 2 of them, butterflied with coleslaw and baked beans. I couldn't finish the 2nd one. Delicious food! Super filling. We ordered the Fat Boy, Fat Daddy, and the BBQ burrito. They offer 3 different types of sauces, sweet, mixed, and hot. The appetizers all seemed delicious but we chose the fried pickle spears. Super tasty! The meat didn't come with sauce, and you did have to add your own to the sandwich, which seemed a little strange since they asked us which sauce we wanted the meat prepared in. This WAS a 3 oz pulled pork sandwich which was excellent and lean. An excellent crisp dill pickle was served alongside. There WAS some kind of potatoes with cheese and topped with fried (like in green bean casserole) onions that was fantastic. And lastly, was cinnamon topped (they ask if you want cinnamon) applesauce. My husband had the brisket sandwich which, he said, was very tasty and tender. He had the potatoes too and slaw. Everything was delicious and our server was spot on. I wanted to like this place but sadly, it's no better than a local fast food place. Ordered the brisket with ribs plate, brisket plate, and brisket sandwiches. All of our food was cold, the brisket was dry and flavorless (you need to eat it with bbq sauce to get it down), same for the ribs, our salads were brown, and the coleslaw was lifeless and past its prime. If you don't mind fast food quality bbq this place will do or you could shop the heat and serve isle of the grocery store- they taste about the same. I was driving coast to coast and my son found this place for lunch after visiting Petit Jean Park. We stopped in for lunch on a sleepy Tuesday and absolutely loved the food and service. The pork sandwich topped with slaw and onion rings and cheesy tots and green beans for sides made this massive lunch and incredible deal for the cost. I wish I lived closer because I would eat here every week. Well done Fat Daddy's. We could use some good barbecue at the beach. And the bartender who served us was very sweet. This was a fun stop to start our Arkansas vacation. It all started with the service which was excellent and continued on with the food. The portions are HUGE first off! We started with onion rings and fried mushrooms for appetizers. My family said these were some of the best fried mushrooms they've had (I passed on those, lol). The smoked cheesy potatoes were the star of the meal for me. I got green beans (pretty certain I asked for baked, though), too, and they were delicious so I didn't say anything to the server about the mix up. I didn't even touch my sliders (I did eat them over the next couple days) as I was so full already. My sister's brisket stuff baked potato made me a bit envious, too. Okay, not great. We've had a lot of Arkansas bbq in addition to Texas, KC, St Louis, and of course Memphis. This was good but not memorable or good enough that we can't wait to return. The service was very nice and efficient so no complaints there at all. The location and restaurant itself are good. The food was just a little lackluster. Now, I admit the competition in Arkansas for bbq is pretty intense. I wouldn't tell someone not to eat here. But don't expect it to be Wright's or McClard's. They put us out on the patio upon entering and immediately brought our dog water with ice. Everything was very clean and orderly with tables placed more than 10 feet apart from each other. For lunch we ordered the fried pickles, barbecue spud, and the petit filet plate. The fried pickles were in the beyond category of amazing! They are full pickle spears not round cuts. They are breaded to perfection with a very good ranch dressing for dipping. On the barbecue spot I opted for the pulled pork as that's what they are known for. I asked for the sweet barbecue sauce as my topper with extra sour cream and butter... They totally delivered! There was not a dry spot anywhere on this bud. Just the way I like it. With the fillet we ordered the green beans, coleslaw and the hollandaise sauce. The fillet was perfectly moist, the coleslaw was a perfect combination of sweet and vinegary and the green beans were char grilled to perfection. There was another couple that was local that was on the patio with us as well. We made friends with them and even exchanged phone numbers for future gatherings! I loved that barbecue sauce so much I had to buy some to take home and as I was looking at the display case of things that they offer I couldn't resist and bought the dry rub for poultry as well! How I've not been here before is baffling. I am a self proclaimed bbq critic! Had pickle spears for an appetizer. Lightly breaded and more than enough for two people. Tasty. Ordered the boss hog. This is a bbq sandwich on steroids! A pound of assorted meats on a bun. Pulled pork, brisket, bacon, battered shoestring jalapeños, and finally the WOW factor. White bbq sauce.... yes white! I'm in love. Creamy tangy with a horseradish zip to it. Always get excited when I taste unexpected. But these guys also added bacon to the sandwich. You know.....they know bbq.
