    Toasted marshmallow iced coffee
    Marie P.

I had a lovely iced toasted marshmallow coffee drink here. It was sweet and ready fast! I opted for it to be made with espresso, which was the right call. The restaurant also had a lunch buffet that seemed to be very popular with locals. I was just a traveler looking for coffee passing through, and was really happy with what I got. They also have clean restrooms available for customers, so they were a perfect little place to stop for coffee. Their staff is currently doing barista school, so they are ready to make fancy drinks. Very impressed!

Great local place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast served all day. Quaint decor, farmhouse feel, wood, antiques, like visiting grandma's. Booths, tables, or a farm table to seat up to 14! Easy access off I-40, just before the roundabout in Newton Grove. Today, we enjoyed breakfast. Order from the hot bar, with eggs to order, and it comes out quick. Their thick sliced "toast" is actually grilled, and oh my delicious. Hashtater casserole puts the 'barrel's" to shame. Served in a crock, yum. Fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea is awesome. Extra served in cute white rooster pitcher so I can refill at my leisure. Red pitcher for those of you sweet tea drinkers. They also offer Coke products, orange or apple juice, milk, and coffee. They have specialty coffees as well. Cold drinks served in Mason jars. We brought home their in-house bakery items, a donut, cinnamon rolls, and a pint of chicken salad, made with grapes, pecans, and special seasonings. With the combination of delicious foods and decor, you can go wrong here. Enjoy your visit! Our server, Savannah, was friendly and informative, as she answered our questions about the place. Found out she went to school with our kids! It's worth the drive East for a change of scenery and some delicious food, and we're looking forward to our next visit.

We were traveling to Wilmington and were getting a little sleepy. We typed in coffee into the GPS and this is where it took us. This place is so cute! We were greeted immediately by a friendly face. We explained we were just getting some coffee to go. One of the baristas got super excited and explained what options they had available. I got the salted caramel latte and my fiance got the toasted marshmallow iced coffee. The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and nice and our drinks came out quick. Super cute cafe in a small town. We will definitely stop in on our next trip to Wilmington.

Treat you like family. Lots of options. My favorite is breakfast. Great salad bar. Now open at night.

How excited am I to have a craft beer store in Clayton? Overly, most people would say. Is it hard…read moreto find? It is if you're using GPS. (Check the note at the end for more details.) Does it have refrigerated beer? I'm sooooo happy. What about one with actual drafts that I would like to drink on tap? Even better. The downfall of most craft beer shops is that they just overload everything with what is on trend. I don't know what happened with IPAs, but all of a sudden they pimped IPAs everywhere. Even worse is the "balanced IPA". If the hops don't rip your tongue off, it's not an IPA. But I digress... Clayton Beverage Company has a really balanced selection of beers: Fruit, sour, IPA, lagers, specialty beers, whatever. I am happy to inform Allison that the Belgian selection has improved somewhat. A Kasteel Rouge for $5.99 an 11.5 oz. bottle is a bit much for my taste, but it's there. Where the Belgian Selection (or belgian style) selections really get going are in my pet category: Sours. And there are plenty to choose from. I walked out with a nice, cold bottle of Petrus Aged Pale and another sour that I'm not yet familiar with. Glassware is here, as well. Pints, snifters, any glassware that you care to take home is available at reasonable prices. Now to the pints on draft: I'd seen a Peanut Butter Stout on tap. And I tried it, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, it's a keg only offering. Yet another thing I appreciate: Someone ordering a beer that isn't available via any other means. I should have asked for a growler. Maybe I still will. Prices are higher than they might be at a larger store, but well within reason considering that you don't have to drive to Raleigh or Durham for a better than average beer. WIth supermarkets shrinking their craft beer selections chain-wide, the bottle shop becomes a more viable and better alternative. I'll be back, thankful that I don't have to drive 15 minutes out of the way to get something decent to drink. Excellent selection and a great addition to Clayton as a community. 5* Notes: This is in the Bank of America section of Clayton Corners. GPS will keep you in a loop, coming in and going back out onto the highway. Go to Bank of America, take a right, and keep going till you reach the end. It's across from the building that holds the Tax Preparation Services.

Not entirely what you might expect visually,…read morebut the owner is responsive to requests and can pretty much get anything you might want. This place recently went to a full-size bar as well, so the offerings are numerous and varied. This is a hidden gem of a place right in the heart of downtown Clayton.

I can't begin to understand North Carolina's archaic liquor laws, but since I am not a big drinker…read morenor inclined to change the laws here - I will go w/ it. For some reason, beer can be sold at Walmart/Grocery Stores, but liquor (and LIQUOR ONLY) is sold at these Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) stores. I have no idea what the deal is, but I am sure it is some type of racket established by the state government. Enough about "the man" - on to my review. I was driving down Raeford Road (not close at all to my house) and decided to pick up a few beverages. I went into the ABC -holy crap! It is actually a bright, clean, well organized liquor store - - nothing like the ABC I usually go to on Ramsey. I was looking for a specific type of rum (of course) and a clerk immediately asked if I needed assistance - rather impressive. I was buying a bottle of something else and another clerk asked how I drank it. Okay, just thought she was making some conversation - nope, she makes a suggestion to mix it w/ some vodka and ANOTHER drink. Basically, I ended up buying $40 extra bucks of liquor because of the helpful clerks. I know it is bizarre the workers would actually HELP their customers and make recommendations (sarcasm). I will NOT drive all the way across Fayetteville to this ABC, BUT - this is by far the best one I shopped!

So...what's the actual name of this place? Bottles & Cans Beer and Wine Shop or Taps and Social?…read moreJudging by the signage and the receipt, it seems to answer to both. Either way, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for--a great selection of drinks in a relaxed, social setting. After finishing dinner at Shijiri, we had a little over an hour to kill before heading home, so we wandered over here. We decided to grab seats inside rather than on the front patio. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating whether you prefer pulling up to the bar or sinking into one of the comfortable sofas. Our tasting lineup included the refreshing Sangria Slushy, Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Komana's Hefe the Hefeweizen. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time hanging out with Aria, the Bouvier des Flandres, who was incredibly friendly and happily accepted all the attention. She definitely added to the welcoming atmosphere. Before leaving, we couldn't resist browsing the shelves and ended up taking home a build-your-own six-pack featuring beers from 3 Floyds, Edit, Middle James, Two Tides, Grimm, and Anytime Beer Co. The selection is excellent for anyone who enjoys discovering craft beers beyond the usual grocery store offerings. Whether you're looking to enjoy a drink on-site, build a mixed six-pack to take home, or simply relax with friends (or make a new four-legged one), this place checks all the boxes. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

Dropped by Bottles & Cans recently and had a good experience…read more Parking was very convenient because Bottles & Cans is part of a strip mall, so no problems there. They had a pretty decent selection of beers available, and I was impressed that you could get pretty much any type of beer as a singleton (versus having to buy a 4 pack or whatever). I did feel like the refrigerated section could have been a bit larger, but they did have a few good choices in there. They had a big selection of beers available on tap, and while I didn't partake this time, I was kind of tempted by the quadrupel :) The bartender was nice and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, if you're in the area, this seems like a nice place to stop and grab a beer. I've seen slightly better selection of beers elsewhere, but I do think you could find something you like here :)
