My favorite place in Wilson, North Carolina. These biscuits are always on point. The flavor and the quality is perfect. Every time we visit our family in North Carolina, we have to stop here to have breakfast. I always get a bacon egg and cheese. They also have so many different combinations you can come up with for your biscuit. I also started following them on an Instagram they just made and they also have French toast and pancakes. Oh my goodness!!!!! My, my, my!!! That's all I can say! I don't know where the recipe for these biscuits came from but they are HEAVENLY! These are not your typical light and fluffy buttermilk biscuits. No, these biscuits are thick and dense, but in the BEST way. And they are HUGE!!! I ate off of my bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit all day long - literally. It took me that long to eat the entire thing. I don't know how people go here and order more than one item with a biscuit. This is the best cat- head biscuit in NC PERIOD! I had my usual, tenderloin and cheese biscuit. The hoop cheese is baked in the biscuit mmmmmm, and the tenderloin is perfect every time. I was in town for a work trip and was highly recommended to stop and get a biscuit if I could get there in time and had cash (it's cash only). Luckily I did to both. I got in the drive thru line and the woman who took my order was so nice and understanding. I told her I'd never been before and she gave me some options. All good things are wrapped in a white paper bag... This was my first visit to Flo's and I took advantage of the short vehicle line just before their 12 noon closing. Since this is a drive-thru only service, they have things down to a science. I told the young lady that this was first visit. She promptly shared that they have sweet potato biscuits on Wednesdays and that all items are made from scratch. She courteouly offered me a menu and helped me with my selection. I got 2 Cheese (chicken) biscuits for me and hubby along with scrambled eggs on the side. When I got home, I added a slice of tomato and some of the eggs to my biscuit sandwich. Actually, these scrambled eggs were pretty good. They were light and melt in your mouth good, not rubbery like I've had at some other breakfast places. This place is known for their biscuits and seems so float their stars & reviews on those biscuits. The Breakfast of this place would not be 4 stars if it were found in most other place unlike other places in Wilson. The biscuits were very good but the eggs nothing special and hash browns were not hash browns as I was expecting but McDonald's Hash Browns which was disappointing, the sausage was amazing like the Kountry Kitchen. (Same Provider?) This place is really a cute little place but other than bringing back memories for serving breakfast similar to the military was about the best I can do. It was Hot, good and filling but not 4 stars except for here in Wilson. The Cat Head Biscuits are very good. Another down side for me is all of the plastic and foam plates used to serve dining in and taking out meals. I drove from Rocky Mount to this place since it was highly recommended by one of my friends, who is a Wilson Native. This place was definitely worth the drive and the prices are tough to beat! There's a drive-through or dine-in option. If you are going to dine-in, just make sure to be aware of the cars since the path is in the drive-through line. I chose to dine-in and the staff were one of the friendliest people I have ever met! The inside is a bit crowded, but still cozy. I love their biscuits. Before I leave town I always go to Flo's to buy my breakfast. I am normally a smoked sausage person but had too many bad experiences with their smoked sausage not being fresh. Flo's Cafe was highly recommended for their biscuits. This place is in an industrial section, on the outskirts of downtown Wilson. It's a small restaurant which does have some seating inside. The line of cars was all the way around he building. There was no menu in the parking lot but I read about the tenderloin and Hope cheese cathead biscuit. OMG, this biscuit was amazing. The biscuit was huge and tender, the tenderloin, fried and tasty, and loaded with melted hoop cheese. When I got to the window, the server gave me the quick rundown of what was on the menu. Actually what I ordered was probably the best. I was 5 minutes from the Vollis Simpson Whirligig park so I drove over there and ate my biscuit while I watched the whirligigs turn in the wind.
