    Tenderloin and Cheese biscuit.
    Rick T.

This is the best cat- head biscuit in NC PERIOD! I had my usual, tenderloin and cheese biscuit. The hoop cheese is baked in the biscuit mmmmmm, and the tenderloin is perfect every time. I have also tried the sausage, bacon and Hobo biscuit which is egg and sausage and cheese scrambled up. I always park next door and walk up. The service is fast and country friendly. The drive through to me is a hassle but it moves fast.

Large biscuits, not the flaky type of biscuit but not bad tasting. Wouldn't say it was worth the 30+ minute wait but it was good. Excellent service though! Drive thru only and cash only.

I was in town for a work trip and was highly recommended to stop and get a biscuit if I could get there in time and had cash (it's cash only). Luckily I did to both. I got in the drive thru line and the woman who took my order was so nice and understanding. I told her I'd never been before and she gave me some options. I went with the biscuit with cheese, chicken, and bacon and it was so delicious. I'll try and make a stop every time in the area moving forward! It looks like they have an atm on site if you do need to take out cash, I just had cash on hand so I didn't have to find out

All good things are wrapped in a white paper bag... This was my first visit to Flo's and I took advantage of the short vehicle line just before their 12 noon closing. Since this is a drive-thru only service, they have things down to a science. I told the young lady that this was first visit. She promptly shared that they have sweet potato biscuits on Wednesdays and that all items are made from scratch. She courteouly offered me a menu and helped me with my selection. I got 2 Cheese (chicken) biscuits for me and hubby along with scrambled eggs on the side. When I got home, I added a slice of tomato and some of the eggs to my biscuit sandwich. Actually, these scrambled eggs were pretty good. They were light and melt in your mouth good, not rubbery like I've had at some other breakfast places. Overall, I enjoyed the food, the portions were crazy generous, and the service prompt and pleasant! I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Great Eastern NC cheese biscuits from a little drive-thru in Wilson. One biscuit with steak, one tenderloin, both served fast, hot, and with great customer service. The biscuits are enormous. Eat one for breakfast and you can probably skip lunch. Don't let the long line of cars scare you. The line moves quickly. NB: Cash only - High fee ATM on site so come prepared

Delicious! Line moved quickly and service was excellent. Had the biscuit with egg, cheese, and country ham. Savory and salty. The cheese biscuit was flaky. Unique flavor with the hoop cheese. We looked it up before hand and was pleasantly surprised. Will return when in the area again. Off the beaten path but worth the detour. Check out the Whirligig Park up the street.

Stopped here on our way back from the beach. Great touch of southern hospitality with great food. Coffee was nice and hot. Biscuits were moist and cheesy. So good I wanted to take some home. They have a drive through that had cars lined down the street the whole time we were there. We knew we picked the right place when we saw how crowded it was and we weren't disappointed. They use all disposable plates, cups, and plastic-wear. Keeping clean up easy. They run a well oiled machine there.

Been a year since we visited this spot, still just as good as ever! Cat head biscuits the way to go! This morning we had tenderloin and gravy, smoked sausage bacon egg and cheese biscuits for our group. The flakiest, tastiest cat ahead biscuits you'll ever have! Excellent customer service! Our go-to when we're in the Wilson area.

Came here on a visit home after moving out of town 5 years ago and Flo's still had the best breakfast in the state.

An excellent, huge biscuit for the money. Get there early or the line is rough or maybe even miss out.

The biscuits were huge and the service was quick! Such a relief from other places like Bojangles. Will be back soon.

The street situation precluded a few spots downtown, and since we weren't in the mood for our go-to taco place, we decided to head out to the Family Diner. The walk-in was awkward on our part- cash register or hot bar line first? A sweet call from the kitchen of "Y'all's first time?" got us headed in the right direction. Full disclaimer: I've been nostalgic for the southern cafeteria lately. While talking to some food industry friends last week, we realized there is something powerful about the food we all remember from K and W. And while Family Diner doesn't have a giant dining room or a 5-snake velvet rope line to get to the counter, it does take me back. Here's how we made our choices: the hot bar was a choice of three types of chicken- the baked and fried were tempting until the gentleman serving us says: "We can fry you fish to order. Flounder, trout, and catfish." The chicken got skipped for a plate of flounder (plentiful plate, btw), and a side of the Mac and cheese and cooked cabbage. The kid sampled the catfish plate, same sides. Sweet tea. And yes ma'am, I'd like the cornbread. Done. We sat down at a table in the main, cozy dining room. The first thing that I noticed: this place is clean- tidy, even. There was a super polite young man moving around and busing tables, tidying up unassumingly and doing it in a way that is lacking in some finer dining places I've been in recently. The food came out, piping hot. I used one of the malt vinegar packets to douse my flounder (a cafeteria habit) and dug in. The first bite was light and flaky, cooked perfectly. Nothing greasy-tasting, at all, just clean. The sides were great- nothing over seasoned, and like cooking at home, there was room for you to season things to your taste. Well played, Family Diner. The owner (I think? She was the one who guided us down the right path when we walked in) came out to make sure that we were happy, and yes ma'am, it's great, and holy cow, you just dropped this cornbread into the skillet and fried it? Yes, we will be back. It's unassuming, and it's just what the doctor ordered. It's a cafeteria, but it's clean and polite and makes you feel good that you ate there. It's soul food, but not just from an ethnic standpoint- it makes me happy and full and feel welcome and I'll be back.
