    Beautiful interior

Let me start with the positives: 1. The restaurant is beautiful! Very thoughtful decor, wonderful atmosphere. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or girls lunch, so versatile! 2. The staff is incredibly kind. The hostess was cheery as I walked in the door and put a smile on my face. The waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive! The manager was gracious and kind as well. 3. The fries were some of the best fries I've ever eaten in my life. The cornbread that was brought out before the meal was amazing. Not dry, perfect amount of moisture. The whipped butter was a nice touch. The sweet tea was awesome too, like my southern mom would make it! Okay, I hate it-but here are the negatives: 1. The dead fly on my pickle spear was unexpected. I'm mostly disappointed they didn't see it when it was being plated, it was very obvious and facing the outside of the plate. 2. When I ordered their short rib melt, I didn't expect for half of my sandwich to be the fat cap from the meat. My first mouthful was nothing but fat, I lost my appetite after that. I gave three stars only because they did offer to make me something else on the menu free of charge. I politely declined and left, my appetite was shot. I'm also annoyed my husband was right. He said this place was terrible. UGH.

My wife and I were recommended this spot by our cousin, and I'm so glad she put us on! We stopped by during lunch without a reservation, and the wait was less than 20 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Once we were seated, we were greeted by Jada, who had amazing energy from start to finish. She took the time to recommend some of the farmhouse favorites along with a few of her personal picks, which we really appreciated. Drinks: Blueberry Lemonade - 10/10 (A must-order!) Hot Green Tea Appetizers: Deviled Eggs - 9.5/10 Zucchini Sticks - 8/10 Cornbread - 8/10 Entrée: Catfish & Chips - 9/10 Everything came out hot and fresh. The standout for me was the jalapeño tartar sauce--it had the perfect amount of heat and paired so well with the catfish. The ambiance gets an 8/10. I noticed the managers walking around checking on guests throughout the restaurant. Even though they didn't stop by our table, I thought it was great to see them actively engaging with customers. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience, and I'd definitely come back again.

First time trying this restaurant. The customer service is great and the staff were very welcoming. Our server, Alex, was able to give suggestions from each section of the menu which was impressive. The drink menu is very big. They give complimentary cornbread, which was good. The Chesapeake eggs were okay, I'm not sure if it was the crab topped, egg mixture, or Old Bay but it just had an odd taste that I did not like. My mom said her sandwich was good, but nothing like the picture on the TV screen inside. My ravioli was good. Not pictured was the strawberry lemonade I got, it was overpriced $8.50 and the strawberry was literally syrup and I could barely taste a strawberry lemonade combination. Will return back.

I went back to The Farmhouse and had a completely different experience than the first visit. We were seated right away (I did ask to move tables) and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Things went downward after we ordered. My drink, the honeycomb tasted like lemon (I don't like lemon). My partner ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo pasta and it was really bland, we tried to give it a little boost with salt and pepper, we told the server but nothing was done. I ordered the barbecue and berry pizza. And I ate it ... actually we both did because we were hungry but the jalenpenos and the red onion should have been cooked ... they were raw on the pizza and the rotisserie chicken was dried out. We don't get cornbread until after our food came and it was super bland. We never saw our server again and had to flag someone down to get our check. I was really disappointed in this experience as I talked this place up. I'm not sure if I will return again.

This is definitely somewhere I would go back to over and over. The atmosphere was definitely dope. The service was really good our server was very attentive. The pizza that I had was really good you can see it in a picture they have cornbread as well which was decent and the deviled eggs were good as well. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a spot in this area!

We came here twice in one week because we liked it so much the first time. Once for brunch and a second time for Easter brunch. I enjoyed the live music. The hostess, servers and the bar staff (sat there the first time) were friendly and helpful. Plenty of space inside and out. Very well decorated and clean. A lot of selections to choose from. The corn bread to start is so good. We had BLT, waffles, chicken sandwich, bacon, and a burger. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Very satisfying and filling. I'll definitely be back next tome I'm in town.

WOW! This was such a great experience at The Farmhouse! First, a huge shout-out to Leilah, she was absolutely AMAZING. She was personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Her service truly elevated our visit. Now, let's talk about the food, delicious, delicious, delicious! The rustic bruschetta was on point and easily some of the best I've had in a while. The only thing I would tweak is to have the bread toasted just a little more, but overall it was fantastic. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo, and it was very flavorful and satisfying, definitely something I would order again. Husbae had the Smashed Bison Burger and said every bite was packed with flavor. He did mention he wished it were a bit bigger, but he thoroughly enjoyed it, especially paired with the fries. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The brightly lit bar (where we sat) area felt inviting and comfortable, the music was at a manageable volume, and the bathroom was clean, always a plus! This was my first visit, but it definitely will not be my last!

We stopped by The Farmhouse Gambrills this lovely Saturday afternoon, and honestly, this was the best decision of the day! The wait for a table was over an hour, but here is a pro-tip: seating at the bar is self-seating! We grabbed spots right away with zero wait, and they offer the full menu. Our bartender (and really, our caretaker for the afternoon), Leila, was fantastic and took great care of us. They start you off with free cornbread served in a cool little cast iron skillet. With that butter melted on top, it was great. My only tiny critique is that it was a little difficult to get out of the skillet, they probably just need to grease the pan a bit more. For an appetizer, we ordered the Bruschetta. It came out fast, the presentation was amazing, but the taste was even better. The freshness of the flavors was ri-damn-diculous! The fresh mozzarella, onions, pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and balsamic glaze completely set that thing off. I do wish the bread was toasted just a bit crispier, but it was still a winner. My Wife ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, and luckily she was in a sharing mood! I am so glad she let me try it because, as she stated, it was sooo good. The blackened chicken was cooked perfectly and really set the Alfredo off. The pasta tasted fresh, and the sauce was excellent. It was just a great choice with amazing flavor. I got the Bison Smashed Burger, and it was absolutely on point. I love that the bison meat is locally sourced, and it was incredibly flavorful, dare I say, even more flavorful than a regular beef burger! It wasn't super big, but it was definitely big with flavor, and I was completely full when I was done. That toasted buttery bun really added to the experience. I sliced up my pickle spear, added it straight to the burger, and man, those flavors just popped in my mouth. I love when food tastes so good that you still have the flavors lingering when you're done to remind you of what you just ate. I would say order what we ordered and you won't be sorry! We ended up ordering a Peach Cobbler to go because the guests sitting next to us got one and highly recommended it. I'll update this review with the cobbler once we find another stomach to enjoy it with at home, LOL! The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. Honestly, even if we had to wait that hour for a table, it would have been worth it. 5-star experience all around. I have zero complaints and am already looking forward to our next visit.

The Farmhouse was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was friendly, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the manager gave us a great check-in during our visit. The short rib was excellent, and the fried chicken sandwich was seriously delicious. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Pulling up to The Farmhouse in Gambrills you are pleasantly welcome by the Farmhouse look and feel of the exterior. Located in a shopping center parking is not an issue. The interior is also welcoming with the look and feel of a light and airy farmhouse decor. The staff is welcoming, making sure you are seated as quickly as possible. Alexander was our server and did an excellent job. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts and deviled eggs for appetizers, both were delicious! Main course was the meat loaf (very generous portion) and the rock fish. Both were delicious. Reservations are available though Open Table. Don't miss out, you will not be disappointed!

I have to say this place has some really good food - you can tell it's fresh! Our waiter, Josh was very attentive, informative, and friendly. I tried the seasonal black cherry lemonade and it was so sweet and refreshing! We started off the garlic steak bites and fried zucchini. The steak bites were tender and juicy , and that chimmichurri sauce delicious! The zucchini fries were so fresh and soft, yet had a nice crunch with a tasty sauce accompanying. A lot of reviews said the cornbread is amazing, however, I wasn't too impressed. It was well baked, however it was lacking that good sweet flavor and was quite bland in my opinion. For my entree, I ordered the short rib melt. The pictures don't do it justice - similar to the steak, it was juice and tender. Both sauces that come with it are so good! I would 100% order it again. The resturant itself is very cute, I like the ambiance and the employees are very friendly. I ordered the farmhouse burger to go, which I was told is delicious and filling. Wish I had taken pictures of the rest of the food but trust me, these items won't disappoint.

I had heard about a seafood place in Severna Park, but I wasn't in the mood for seafood. That's when I came across Betty Lou's. As soon as I looked at the food photos, I knew that's where we were headed. It was about a 20 minute ride from Annapolis not bad at all. Betty Lou's is located in a shopping center. There were a few cars in the lot when we pulled up, but I wasn't sure if they were there for the restaurant or other businesses nearby. When we walked in, there was one person sitting at the bar. We asked if we could sit there, and the bartender (don't remember her name) was very pleasant and welcoming. She thanked us for coming in, and when I mentioned I found the place on Yelp, she explained that everything is made fresh to order. They have an excellent selection of craft drinks on the menu, the assortment of cocktails and wines that look very good. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I had the Jimmy Red Old Fashioned. The drink looked fantastic, and she took her time carefully measuring each ingredient. That's how cocktails are supposed to be made balanced and flavorful, not just tasting like straight liquor. If I wanted that, I'd just order bourbon neat. For lunch, my wife ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and roasted potatoes. I had already decided on the chicken pot pie after seeing it online. I did find it a little strange they don't offer mashed potatoes as a side with meatloaf, that would've made it a home run in my opinion. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The pot pie was larger than I expected compared to the pictures, and the meatloaf was a generous portion as well. After the first bite, I can honestly say it was one of the best chicken pot pies I've had loaded with tender chicken, carrots, onions, celery, and a rich, flavorful gravy. And the pastry crust? The BEST I've ever had. It was big enough that I had leftovers for dinner. My wife's meatloaf was tender and flavorful, and the collard greens were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes were just okay again, mashed would've put it over the top but that's just personal preference. She also had plenty leftovers for dinner. The food was great, the décor was nicely done, and the service was excellent. If this place were closer to home, it would definitely be a regular spot for us. We need something like this down in Calvert County. Overall, if you're looking for a great meal and well-crafted drinks, Betty Lou's is absolutely worth the drive even if you live a little ways away.

We were sat pretty quickly & our waitress was great. But half way through she handed us over to the bartender, who just seemed inconvenienced that we were there. My husband had just finished a beer when she took over (which was in a can, not a tap beer), she asked if he wanted another, he said yes, and brought some draught beer that definitely wasn't what he was drinking. We are very easy going, so that wasn't even the end of the world. But she wasn't very friendly so we just went with it. The food. We ordered rockfish bites for an app, chicken pot pie, bacon wrapped shrimp & Mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out quickly. Rockfish bites: Not only were they bland & salt-less, but not all of them were cooked all the way through. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were ok, but cold in spots. The chicken pot pie: This is the reason I came. Certainly you can't mess this up, seeing how my favorite pot pie is from KFC. My standards aren't that high. I wish I could add a photo to a low review. I've never seen the inside of a pot pie that was dark gray. It didn't look appetizing at all, but it's a pot pie so I'm not basing anything on appearance. Once I took a bite I realized that it was gray because there was SO MUCH ground thyme in it. Like they dumped a whole jar in there. It wasn't even edible. The Mac & cheese was really good, I wish I had just ordered that. Before you reply that we should have said something, we already felt like we were an inconvenience to the bartender & she didn't even care enough to serve the same beer that was originally ordered. We didn't even want to deal with her. So we chalked it up as a loss. Of over $100. This place is so cute, we really loved the ambiance & wanted to love the food. We definitely won't be back, but I don't think it's going to be around much longer anyway.

There were some nice tables outside, but we decided to sit at the bar once we checked in at the host stand. At the time, there were only two empty ones on the end, but the people next to us soon left. There was a phone charging right in front of where I was sitting, it wasn't long before the guy belonged to politely unplugged it and said that we could use the charger if we needed to. Even the brunch burger was a win. And of course, the margaritas, mezcalitas, and micheladas were excellent. The guacamole was a little one note, but the chips were thick and crispy and salty. This is also the kind of place that delivers squeeze bottles of red and green salsa with the meal, which is always a good indicator of a great Mexican place, in my opinion.

Dining is separated into a bar room (with full table service and a stage for performers), a main dining area and an upstairs space. Menu is standard American with many seafood choices (grilled fishes, crab cakes) as well as meat and vegetarian options (pasta, steak, ect). We happened to come during Annapolis restaurant week, which allows you an appetizer, entree and dessert for $42 (only the ones listed on their RW menu). My companion decided on the lobster bisque, grilled halibut and lemon creme brûlée. I had the crispy fish Sammie (regular menu). The lobster bisque was velvety and thick with tender chunks of lobster and not heavy. The fish was flaky and tender, with hints of lemon over roasted Brussel sprouts. The dessert (not pictured) had a soft creamy custard texture with hints of lemon, topped by caramelized crunchy sugar shell. The fish sandwich was a barramundi filet fried and put in a brioche bun with bacon jam, remoulade and arugula. The remoulade had a nice kick. The fish was very fresh and has a great crunchy breaded exterior. The fries that accompanied the dish were also very good (generous portion). Service was impeccable and attentive.

I was a first timer and she's been once before. Given the name, I figured it was a seafood restaurant. Although some seafood is on the menu, Pier 99 is primarily a Sushi/Asian food restaurant. I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

The pricing is great and it includes apps. The crab rangoons, mozz sticks, and gyoza are my favs! I enjoy the dinosaur roll and the crunchy roll as well! I would try other rolls bit a majority of them have avocado in them and I have an avocado allergy. Either way I find ways to get my moneys worth! Like ordering a lot of the sashimi especially the mackerel, red snapper, and white tuna!
