My wife and I were recommended this spot by our cousin, and I'm so glad she put us on! We stopped by during lunch without a reservation, and the wait was less than 20 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Once we were seated, we were greeted by Jada, who had amazing energy from start to finish. She took the time to recommend some of the farmhouse favorites along with a few of her personal picks, which we really appreciated. Drinks: Blueberry Lemonade - 10/10 (A must-order!) Hot Green Tea Appetizers: Deviled Eggs - 9.5/10 Zucchini Sticks - 8/10 Cornbread - 8/10 Entrée: Catfish & Chips - 9/10 Everything came out hot and fresh. The standout for me was the jalapeño tartar sauce--it had the perfect amount of heat and paired so well with the catfish. The ambiance gets an 8/10. I noticed the managers walking around checking on guests throughout the restaurant. Even though they didn't stop by our table, I thought it was great to see them actively engaging with customers. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience, and I'd definitely come back again.

My aunt and I visited Farmhouse after really rough day. Gale was our server and he was fantastic. He recommended the new mocktail menu and was very kind and he took the time to explain menu items and specials. This was our first time and it won't be our last. Great environment. PS loved the crab deviled eggs and the short rib. My aunt loved her pasta as well. Thanks for such a great time.

We came here twice in one week because we liked it so much the first time. Once for brunch and a second time for Easter brunch. I enjoyed the live music. The hostess, servers and the bar staff (sat there the first time) were friendly and helpful. Plenty of space inside and out. Very well decorated and clean. A lot of selections to choose from. The corn bread to start is so good. We had BLT, waffles, chicken sandwich, bacon, and a burger. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Very satisfying and filling. I'll definitely be back next tome I'm in town.

The Farmhouse was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was friendly, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the manager gave us a great check-in during our visit. The short rib was excellent, and the fried chicken sandwich was seriously delicious. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

WOW! This was such a great experience at The Farmhouse! First, a huge shout-out to Leilah, she was absolutely AMAZING. She was personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Her service truly elevated our visit. Now, let's talk about the food, delicious, delicious, delicious! The rustic bruschetta was on point and easily some of the best I've had in a while. The only thing I would tweak is to have the bread toasted just a little more, but overall it was fantastic. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo, and it was very flavorful and satisfying, definitely something I would order again. Husbae had the Smashed Bison Burger and said every bite was packed with flavor. He did mention he wished it were a bit bigger, but he thoroughly enjoyed it, especially paired with the fries. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The brightly lit bar (where we sat) area felt inviting and comfortable, the music was at a manageable volume, and the bathroom was clean, always a plus! This was my first visit, but it definitely will not be my last!

We stopped by The Farmhouse Gambrills this lovely Saturday afternoon, and honestly, this was the best decision of the day! The wait for a table was over an hour, but here is a pro-tip: seating at the bar is self-seating! We grabbed spots right away with zero wait, and they offer the full menu. Our bartender (and really, our caretaker for the afternoon), Leila, was fantastic and took great care of us. They start you off with free cornbread served in a cool little cast iron skillet. With that butter melted on top, it was great. My only tiny critique is that it was a little difficult to get out of the skillet, they probably just need to grease the pan a bit more. For an appetizer, we ordered the Bruschetta. It came out fast, the presentation was amazing, but the taste was even better. The freshness of the flavors was ri-damn-diculous! The fresh mozzarella, onions, pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and balsamic glaze completely set that thing off. I do wish the bread was toasted just a bit crispier, but it was still a winner. My Wife ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, and luckily she was in a sharing mood! I am so glad she let me try it because, as she stated, it was sooo good. The blackened chicken was cooked perfectly and really set the Alfredo off. The pasta tasted fresh, and the sauce was excellent. It was just a great choice with amazing flavor. I got the Bison Smashed Burger, and it was absolutely on point. I love that the bison meat is locally sourced, and it was incredibly flavorful, dare I say, even more flavorful than a regular beef burger! It wasn't super big, but it was definitely big with flavor, and I was completely full when I was done. That toasted buttery bun really added to the experience. I sliced up my pickle spear, added it straight to the burger, and man, those flavors just popped in my mouth. I love when food tastes so good that you still have the flavors lingering when you're done to remind you of what you just ate. I would say order what we ordered and you won't be sorry! We ended up ordering a Peach Cobbler to go because the guests sitting next to us got one and highly recommended it. I'll update this review with the cobbler once we find another stomach to enjoy it with at home, LOL! The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. Honestly, even if we had to wait that hour for a table, it would have been worth it. 5-star experience all around. I have zero complaints and am already looking forward to our next visit.

Pulling up to The Farmhouse in Gambrills you are pleasantly welcome by the Farmhouse look and feel of the exterior. Located in a shopping center parking is not an issue. The interior is also welcoming with the look and feel of a light and airy farmhouse decor. The staff is welcoming, making sure you are seated as quickly as possible. Alexander was our server and did an excellent job. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts and deviled eggs for appetizers, both were delicious! Main course was the meat loaf (very generous portion) and the rock fish. Both were delicious. Reservations are available though Open Table. Don't miss out, you will not be disappointed!

Wow - this was an amazing experience! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. They provide "farm to fork" cuisine and it does not disappoint. This was some of the best food I've had in the greater DC area and it is all sourced local and fresh. I started with a refreshing blueberry lemonade and tea. Instead of bread rolls they begin service with cornbread and BOY!! This was the best cornbread I've ever had. They serve it with butter and syrup which is surprisingly tasty! Our table shared the fried zucchini which was also unique to us. I tried the chesapeake pasta and it was amazing. The shrimp was so clean and tasty. Had enough leftover for lunch the next day. To finish, we shared ice cream and peach cobbler. We drove 45 minutes one way just for this and plan to do it again!

Rosemary Remedy by Julian This drink delivered. The flavors were a dance on my tongue with the orange hitting first, then the muddled rosemary showing up for the finish. Excellent creation and the alliteration of the name, priceless!! Go have him make you one of his creation!! Cracker thin crust on all of the pizzas, was okay, not my first choice. Still didn't detract from the pizzas. The Holler Like all other hot honey pizzas, it was good, nothing different though. Gumbilia flatbread Spicy kick to it, was a pleasant surprise. A hodgepodge of toppings making each bite different and fun to taste. Flavorful and juicy. This was the best of all of the pizzas, I would recommend this one. Bird + Berry Extremely dry, the up-cycled rotisserie chicken was very dry. Not enough sauce on the crust either. The idea sounded intriguing, the application was left to be desired. Farmhouse Wings The presence of mesquite was a nice touch. I like the Blueberry BBQ sauce. The ranch did not have enough onion nor garlic. I was not a fan of the soupy and watered down texture to the dips. The blue cheese was also runny too. I appreciate them being house-made, the base needs to be thicker so it sticks to the wings and is less messy. Overall pretty good. The Rosemary Remedy was the only thing that fed my soul.

We wanted burgers and fries for dinner. Our go to place is usually Red Robin, when we got there, they said their system was down so we headed to The Farmhouse. We were greeted at the entrance by a nice young lady who immediately sat us down. The ambiance was nice, music in the background, not too loud and conversations and laughter, people enjoying their food and company. We both ordered the smash bison burger which came with fries and a pickle. Our waiter Gale, who started out by asking about our allergies and if we have dined with them before was very attentive, professional, polite and he knew the menu from inside, outside including food specials and drinks. He would often check on us. The burger and fries were ok. Cornbread was good.

Great decor, service and menu options. I will most likely return because I would love to try the catfish for myself and the peach cobbler on the dessert sounded really delectable. I would like them to season the Chesapeake pasta with old bay seasoning or go a bit heavier on the seasoning because it was a little light and I could barely taste seasoning, but overall the entire experience was delightful.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for the 1st time since it was changed from Smashing Grapes. Good amount of parking and friendly service from the hostess to our waitress. Now onto the meal... while I was excited to order the Chesapeake Pasta, I was slightly surprised how runny the sauce was (See picture). I also had to order extra old bay and do without the asparagus just to bring out more of the seafood flavor. It still wasn't landing for me but that doesn't take away the remainder of my experience. The deviled eggs were good and my friend enjoyed their rock fish but what we loved the most was the dessert. Great way to end a sweet tooth Sunday.

I had heard about a seafood place in Severna Park, but I wasn't in the mood for seafood. That's when I came across Betty Lou's. As soon as I looked at the food photos, I knew that's where we were headed. It was about a 20 minute ride from Annapolis not bad at all. Betty Lou's is located in a shopping center. There were a few cars in the lot when we pulled up, but I wasn't sure if they were there for the restaurant or other businesses nearby. When we walked in, there was one person sitting at the bar. We asked if we could sit there, and the bartender (don't remember her name) was very pleasant and welcoming. She thanked us for coming in, and when I mentioned I found the place on Yelp, she explained that everything is made fresh to order. They have an excellent selection of craft drinks on the menu, the assortment of cocktails and wines that look very good. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I had the Jimmy Red Old Fashioned. The drink looked fantastic, and she took her time carefully measuring each ingredient. That's how cocktails are supposed to be made balanced and flavorful, not just tasting like straight liquor. If I wanted that, I'd just order bourbon neat. For lunch, my wife ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and roasted potatoes. I had already decided on the chicken pot pie after seeing it online. I did find it a little strange they don't offer mashed potatoes as a side with meatloaf, that would've made it a home run in my opinion. When the food arrived, everything looked excellent. The pot pie was larger than I expected compared to the pictures, and the meatloaf was a generous portion as well. After the first bite, I can honestly say it was one of the best chicken pot pies I've had loaded with tender chicken, carrots, onions, celery, and a rich, flavorful gravy. And the pastry crust? The BEST I've ever had. It was big enough that I had leftovers for dinner. My wife's meatloaf was tender and flavorful, and the collard greens were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes were just okay again, mashed would've put it over the top but that's just personal preference. She also had plenty leftovers for dinner. The food was great, the décor was nicely done, and the service was excellent. If this place were closer to home, it would definitely be a regular spot for us. We need something like this down in Calvert County. Overall, if you're looking for a great meal and well-crafted drinks, Betty Lou's is absolutely worth the drive even if you live a little ways away.

We were sat pretty quickly & our waitress was great. But half way through she handed us over to the bartender, who just seemed inconvenienced that we were there. My husband had just finished a beer when she took over (which was in a can, not a tap beer), she asked if he wanted another, he said yes, and brought some draught beer that definitely wasn't what he was drinking. We are very easy going, so that wasn't even the end of the world. But she wasn't very friendly so we just went with it. The food. We ordered rockfish bites for an app, chicken pot pie, bacon wrapped shrimp & Mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out quickly. Rockfish bites: Not only were they bland & salt-less, but not all of them were cooked all the way through. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were ok, but cold in spots. The chicken pot pie: This is the reason I came. Certainly you can't mess this up, seeing how my favorite pot pie is from KFC. My standards aren't that high. I wish I could add a photo to a low review. I've never seen the inside of a pot pie that was dark gray. It didn't look appetizing at all, but it's a pot pie so I'm not basing anything on appearance. Once I took a bite I realized that it was gray because there was SO MUCH ground thyme in it. Like they dumped a whole jar in there. It wasn't even edible. The Mac & cheese was really good, I wish I had just ordered that. Before you reply that we should have said something, we already felt like we were an inconvenience to the bartender & she didn't even care enough to serve the same beer that was originally ordered. We didn't even want to deal with her. So we chalked it up as a loss. Of over $100. This place is so cute, we really loved the ambiance & wanted to love the food. We definitely won't be back, but I don't think it's going to be around much longer anyway.

My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!
