We were here for the 4th of July cookout on the patio. It was Awesome! They had a really nice setup. This was a buffet which included desserts as well as a nice selection of food. Everything tasted great for the most part. Service was great as well. The outdoor buffet cookout was $20 tickets were purchased on eventbrite. They also had holiday drink specials at $2.49 which was a good deal. They also sold smoked oysters at $1.00 each & the server and bartender was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed this event. We would like to go back and check out the other drinks on the menu as well as the food. Definitely bookmarked this spot for a return visit. Modern, dark, speakeasy vibes on the inside with windows overlooking the Main Street, and a spacious outdoor deck quite literally in the shadow of the gorgeous Maryland State House. All housed in the historic Capital Hotel, newly renovated in November of 2022. The atmosphere here is immaculate. It is a must see when enjoying the sights of Annapolis. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon after touring the State House. We each ordered the Monkey Smoke (Penicillin), and she ordered a small plate with avocado and lump crabmeat, which we ordered just in time as the kitchen closed between 3 and 4. The standout of the day for me was the old fashioned, made with plum bitters. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. The servers were all very friendly and quick. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town, and definitely recommend this to others. read more

This evening, the bartending staff.....maybe it was overwhelming with the ASF, maybe they all had an off night, but in a service industry the last thing you want to to do is be rude or short or curt with paying customers. Omar! My new best friend! We told you we'd be back and back we were. Stopped down to the Parley Room for my buddy's bday. I was a little uneasy on our way; I'm typically more of a beer and fries type of person. We had a fantastic time. The place looks fancy from all the drinks, but I definitely didn't feel like I needed to be dressed up or anything (I did wear a polo and jeans). It was great weather, we sat out on the patio. They had some good, upbeat music playing in the background, loud enough that you could catch the beat but low enough that it didn't interfere with conversation. Food was good, but I'm more of a simple guy when it comes to food so it was good. Drinks were awesome. Omar guilted me into ordering a cocktail and not just a "mule"; I can get that anywhere... :) The O.G. was really good. I actually stuck with that. Omar was awesome, great dude, great personality. He really made the afternoon a lot of fun. We left after a couple hours and walked around Annapolis; and got dinner (our waitress elsewhere left a lot to be desired compared to Omar). Towards the evening we were trying to figure out what to do next and decided we'd head back to see if Omar was indeed still working. We saw him as we walked up and decided to quick jump back to our same open table. The shock on his face when we yelled his name from "our" table was hilarious. I love a good speakeasy, and Parley Room is an excellent one. There are three important elements to a good speakeasy; craft cocktails, intimate atmosphere, and discreet location, and Parley Room hits all three. We tried the Fig Old Fashioned and the OG. I generally use the Old Fashioned or the Manhattan as my baseline measurement as a quality control for any bar, and they did not disappoint. Great mixology and attention to detail in the flavors. The place is small (as any proper speakeasy will be) but packed. We walked in and were greeted right away. It's self seating and since it was a Thursday night we had no issue getting a spot. They also have outdoor seating too. The ambiance is a modern look with a touch of art deco. We ordered cocktails before the food and they were made pretty fast. Nice presentation of the cocktails, they both tasted great. The penicillin was made just right. We order the octopus and the goat cheese brûlée. The Octopus was good, maybe a tad tough. Great sauces and a tasty olive tapenade. Tonight was my second visit! Same waitress and same bartenders I am a huge fan. The prices are so fair! Less than 13 bucks gets you a strong cocktail! I have tried the toasted marshmallow espresso, the OG was my favorite! It's lime and sneaks up on ya....before I knew it was on my 3rd drink and feeling loose! My hubby and I also landed on some yummy appetizers, I did the Brie and pita breads triangles. It was great, and you can tell it was fresh. This place is in the heart of Annapolis and seems to be doing well. I do hope they can grow, the space is tight, but it's still managed to work in our favor. We just asked two ladies if we could join them, shout to cool ladies who let us sit with them. We offered to get them a drink or an app and they said no. Been wanting to try this for awhile and several other times they were closed outside due to a private event. This time I called before going and they said they were open. Got there about 5pm on a Saturday and the patio was just opening. It filled up within 20 minutes so we were so glad we made it before it was full. Party of 4 just had cocktails and charcuterie. All of it was very good. We especially liked that you could make a charcuterie board anyway you want. I don't like when they are premade and sometimes you don't like parts of it. You could have all cheese, all meat combo however you chose each item prices individually. And it was delicious! Having friends come into town and would like to take them here next week. read more

Cool place right next to the capital. Good beverages, but unfortunately cannot review the food. Was seated at 3:15 and handed a small plate menu. Then waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and ask for drinks. The waitress delivered a small plate to a table next to us, then delivered our drinks. We tried to order a couple small plates, but was told the kitchen was closed until 4pm without apology and walked away. Then brought the bill directly out without asking if we wanted anything else. We showed up at 7:35, sat on the patio (part of the atmosphere I like about this place), got menus, and my wife even checked with the bartender to make sure they were still taking orders... I was very excited about Parley opening, but wound up being pretty disappointed. We went a few weeks ago for dinner. The venue is really nice, they did a great job building out the space and the decor. We were happy to see there wasn't a wait, but then noticed there were several tables not bussed. We watched several couples walk in and walk back out - no one greeted them or seated them. We sat for a while before the server came over. We had to ask her for menus and water. After waiting again, we ordered drinks from the bartender (who was very engaged in a long, odd, personal conversation with two ladies sitting there). As I watched him make our drinks, he plopped a large cube into the glass and proceeded to spin it with his fingers to stir it. That was a first! The food was okayish, delayed to the point that it was cold and not what we expected after all of the hype. We again sat waiting for the server to come with our check, she finally appeared for the first time since delivering our food, and asked "everything ok"? "OK????" Clearly the bar has been set low for their staff that "ok" is what they're shooting for. Hoping they improve their hospitality game, it's got great potential...but not there yet. read more
