My husband ordered the lemon chicken with spaghettini and grilled asparagus and it was delicious! I ordered the pork tenderloin with risotto and green beans. The pork was sliced thin and I was sure it would be tough but it was very tender. The green beans were FRESH and cooked perfectly! Even though we were so full we decided to try a dessert. My husband ordered the apple, pecan, bourbon bread pudding which was spectacular! I ordered the crème brûlée which was good but a little too sweet for my taste. We came during happy hour so not a lot of customers but they were serving the whole menu. The restaurant is very dark but cozy with leather and brown scheme pub like furnishings. The truffles fries were very truffled flavored and the tuna was seared and dressed perfectly. Very delicious. We just stopped by while my car was being serviced for a snack and afternoon cocktail but I will definitely want to come back in the evening to dine. The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous! Very equestrian. We started with the Pork Butt Burnt Ends that have a Sriracha Honey glaze! They were absolutely delicious, just a slight heat from the sriracha. I had the Fish & Chips which was cooked perfectly! In the words of my husband, "That's money right there!" He had the Braised beef with whipped sweet potatoes and collard greens it was so tender it was like a pot roast. Super delicious! We ate maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the main entree because we just had to try the Salted Caramel Apple Bread Pudding. It lived up to what we imagined it would be like-and more!!! Chicken fingers were so over cooked could not eat even with the extra honey sauce (which was good btw)! The collards were undercooked and tough and really tasteless. The truffle fries had no truffle and the shaved Parmesan was a but much, shredded would have been better! Very salty but edible. Overall meal was not good! The service was very slow! Have dined here multiple times in recent years and, in fact, prefer this location to the one in Aiken (where I live). My past experiences have been very positive but my most recent visit was a disappointment. Had called ahead and gotten on the "wait list" but when we arrived there was no one waiting for a table. This was a Friday night, around 615. The restaurant looked to be about 2/3 full which seemed a bit strange as it is usually full with many waiting for tables. The waitstaff was friendly and took our drink & food orders within 10 min of being seated. We were splitting a wedge salad which I immediately noticed was considerably smaller that in the past and although I mentioned this to the server when I ordered, we were not provided with an additional plate without having to request it. My partner ordered the bacon chicken club which he has enjoyed, in the past, and I ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer. As we waited for our orders I also noticed many diners had styrofoam cups instead of glasses for their water and tea. This seemed odd but when the staff brought our drinks they were also in styrofoam cups. The staff explained this by saying the kitchen had run our of glasses and this was what they were now using. I don't mind styrofoam when picnicking or at a drive thru but at a moderately priced sitdown restaurant this seemed odd. After about 20 min our food arrived. My meal was as expected, fresh and very tasty but my partner's chicken was overcooked and dry. We rarely saw our server, on the floor, once our food arrived. The times we were able to catch him (for ketchup and then the bill) were when he was dashing across the room and we literally had to flag him down. This seemed unusual as it appeared that he was providing service to only 3 other tables. This experience was unusual for this restaurant. I realize there may have been chaos in the back of the house that caused our disappointing experience. This restaurant's service, in the past, has been on point and the food well prepared. I hope this was a one-off situation both for our server and the kitchen. read more

We were so excited try the Feed Sack after looking at the menu online. The menu wasn't huge but had a lot of incredible looking options. We arrived on Sunday afternoon for brunch. We were told our wait time would be 30 minutes and they were right on time seating us. Instead of asking us if we also wanted to go ahead and order, she left us alone for quite a while. When we finally got her attention, she was bringing over our appetizer. We let her know we were ready to order and she said she would be right back and was also gone a while longer. We finally ordered and our food was good except for my croissant for the breakfast croissant. It was not just toasted but burned. I ate it anyway, and other than that everything else was very tasty. Was pretty excited to try out The Feed Sack with my friends but we were pretty disappointed. The appetizers were probably the highlight of our meal. We got pork belly, brussle sprouts and deviled eggs (listed from my favorite to least favorite). I think they were half off for happy hour (not sure if it rotates which ones are available for happy hour). One friend was happy with his sandwich (hot roast beef) but didn't enjoy his side of coleslaw ordered. I got the crispy fish sandwich which had some of the coleslaw and I also was not a fan. The fish and fries were crispy but extremely salty. My other friend got the short ribs which she was looking forward to trying but it was extremely salty (the beef and the sauce). The only way to eat it was with the mashed potatoes to drown some of the saltiness. Not sure if our server was new but a bit of a space cadet....seemed like she forgot us a lot and didn't know what was going on. I think it was the manager that checked on us at the end of the meal...we let her know about how salty our food was....she seemed kinda apologetic and said she'd check on the sauce but not sure if she did or not...our cocktails were good bit on the pricey side. read more

This is a great find!! We had dinner there yesterday and can't wait to go again! If possible, get there between 5-7 to enjoy their $6 appetizers. We had the grilled Brussel sprouts; Dee-lish! I had the hot roast beef sub; very good! Wife had the salmon; very good! Piano player from 6-8 which really made the ambiance even better!! Server was Sam (female) & she was excellent, taking time to help us as first-timers there. Overall, a really great place to go and enjoy very good food in a relaxed setting but still in a comfy, pretty-high-class place. Prices aren't cheap but not real high either for what you get. Very cool interior. Service was quick. We enjoyed the wings-the appetizer portions were huge! We also tried the chicken fingers, which were solid. I ordered the crab cakes-the grits were amazing! I didn't enjoy the corn topping as it had a little heat. The crab cakes themselves were delicious-massive portions, crispy outside, lots of crab and not too much filler. We sat at the bar since it was pretty crowded when we got there. This is a nice follow-up to the Feed Sack in Aiken. The place is smaller than Aiken and the vibe is not quite the same. Amazing!! We went for a celebratory dinner with 6 of us. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We never ran out of water, and our food came quickly. Starters, we got the pork belly, which was absolutely amazing. It was sweet and just melted in your mouth. The brussel sprouts, which were on point with salty and sweet. The pretzel bites were great with the mustard and cheese too! Our entrees came with a salad, I mean, it's a salad, but the dressings were all good, ranch, Italian, honey mustard, all great. By the time the food came, we were feeling full. Then we dug in and tried each other's and they did everything perfectly. Then came dessert, cheesecake which wasn't my favorite but felt like a good New York style, but had a pastry crust which I prefer graham cracker. And the carrot cake was great too, lots of Pecans in-between the layers and a great frosting, huge portions of dessert too! This has become out "fancy" restaurant. Had dinner here last night. The service and the ambiance were great. You could actually have a conversation without screaming to hear the other people at the table. There were 4 of us. We started with the Brussels and potstickers which were wonderful as were the entrees of crab cakes, salmon and shrimp. The scallops, however , were very salty. We thought someone accidentally spilled salt on them but they even remade the dish and the second order of scallops was also incredibly salty. Not sure why but that is not a dish any of us would recommend anyone getting. Will definitely eat here again. Wish I could have given them a 4 1/2 because everything but the scallops was fabulous. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and based on the food pictures on yelp I was very excited to eat here when we got there it was a 20 to 30 minute wait no big deal the food looked good so we waited. We got sat and the table a little over 30 minutes but no big deal we got a table. But that was only the start of the waiting we put in our order and then I kid you not like over an hour went past before our waiter came to apologize about the food not being out but I'm not blaming her it was busy and she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off but what was so disappointing was the food was just not good it looked good but all of the food was cold and just so underwhelming taste wise especially for the price of each dish. For what we paid and how long we waited I was so unimpressed with the whole restaurant, When I come back to town I will definitely be skipping this place. read more

First, what this place has done with the interior is great, once you are inside you would never guess it is in a strip mall. It was a Tuesday night, and my husband and I both had business dinners here. He was at a table, I was in the bar. The table service seemed to be the way to go. It took ages for someone to help us at the bar, and they certainly weren't that busy. There was a piano player in the bar and you cannot beat live music. My RVP and I shared the brussel sprouts and pimento cheese appetizers and they were great. For our entrees, I had the mushroom chicken, which came with 3 pieces of chicken breast! It was really well done with a mushroom sauce and root vegetable risotto. I can't think of another dish locally that is similar. 10/10 would order it again. My colleague had a burger, which he decimated, and said was very good. He did leave quite a few fries, so I'll have to report back on those! ;) Dessert: They aren't made in house, but rather by a local baker. I am team homemade dessert and this qualifies! We had the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and the blueberry cake. The chocolate left a lot to be desired. The cake was dry and the peanut butter to chocolate flavor balance wasn't there. The cake wasn't chocolate enough to stand up to the peanut butter. The blueberry cake and frosting were much better, but y'all, I have a problem with adding food coloring to cake. Please don't put blue food coloring in blueberry cake. The same with a lime cake, or especially a key lime cake- if someone has added green food coloring, I would advise you to avoid it.....So! I'm glad a didn't see before hand that the cake was blue, because I wouldn't have ordered it. On that note, the frosting to cake ratio was incorrect. Too much cake, too little frosting. So, I'd go back and order the blue blueberry cake again, and ask for extra frosting.... Which since they don't make it in house may pose a problem. Or I'll skip it and walk down the strip center to SmallCakes. We will be back, there are a lot of things I'd like to try on the menu, plus brussel sprouts and a live piano player.... read more

The food is really good. The pork belly bites are a must if you go. Every time I've come here, I get something different. This particular time, I got the seared scallops. The scallops were really good. The rice that they sit on is amazing. This particular night, a large party came in and sat at the bar area. The food took awhile to get to my table. However the waitress kept informing us about the large party and that the kitchen is busy. You can tell the waitress was embarrassed with how long it was taking. Just a suggestion, if you don't have the staff for a large party, maybe don't except them. The ambiance is good as well. Was finally able to try the bread pudding for dessert. It was good.
