But I wanted to talk to someone because one of my dogs was in diapers and I wanted to make sure she was taken care of, so I went in. The person at the desk said it would be fine, they had lots of experience and they would send pics everyday. So I left thinking they would be well taken care of, especially after reading the great reviews. After the first day when I hadn't received pictures, I called to see if they were ok and if I could get pics. I was assured they were fine and they sent pics. The next day, nothing. I had to call everyday to see if my dogs were ok. I didn't get pictures everyday like I was promised. When I did get pictures the one time I asked why my dogs were together, in a small enclosed space, with no other dogs. I had asked that my one dog get to go out and play with other dogs, but they didn't do that. They said they wanted to keep them together, although I had explained that my older dog in diapers wouldn't have cared. I began questioning whether anything I asked had been done. We paid over $1,000 for a week and don't feel that the service we received was worth it. There are lots of great reviews here but we can't add to them.

Dog Gone Happy came through for us. I was nervous, and Glitch went in hesitantly, but when I went to pick him up. Watching the dogs run in when they got there for daycare made me feel better, and when I picked him up, you could tell he had played hard and had a good ol time. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a place.

This will be a bit long. Here's the short version: Six Forks Animal Hospital is too busy. They are…read moreso busy that I believe the level of care they can provide is negatively affected. If you want the best level of care for your pet, go elsewhere. Now for the long version: I had been bringing one of my dogs to Six Forks Animal Hospital for years after having a bad experience at Banfield. My negative experiences started after my dog had an allergic reaction to some fleas he got from a new puppy member of the family. We were prescribed corticosteroids and the sores from the allergic reaction cleared; all was well. Unfortunately the skin sores came back months later and again we were given corticosteroids alongside antibiotics to treat a possible skin infection. Skin cleared up and months later the sores returned. Our dog had bouts of skin sores for years that we continued to battle with the same treatment that didn't seem to be working. Eventually I did some research into corticosteroids and I learned about how terrible the side effects can be; Particularly for long term treatment of illness. I LEARNED THAT CORTICOSTEROIDS CAN MAKE YOUR DOG MORE PRONE TO COMMON BACTERIAL INFECTIONS! After learning this I began to refuse all steroids from Six Forks Animal Hospital. It took years for my dog's hormones to recover but eventually the skin infections stopped. I learned about alternative treatment methods for his skin that worked much better and were much less harmful. Keep in mind that a vet's job is to offer the best level of care possible. I had to spend my own time to learn of a more optimal treatment plan for my dog. Had I not done that, my dog may have continued to deteriorate as corticosteroids can cause a wide range of chronic health conditions such as diabetes (his blood sugar began to rise!), osteoarthritis (he began having trouble using stairs), hearing problems (he eventually went deaf)! The final straw for me was when I brought my young boxer in for some feet allergies. I very clearly and bluntly told the staff that I did not want any kind of steroids to be used for his treatment. During COVID I am not allowed to be present while the vet is providing care to my dog. The front desk called me and told me that I will be billed for a Cytopoint shot (yes, this is what I wanted) AND A KENELOG INJECTION (Kenelog is another corticosteroid!!). I was furious. The staff are obviously not communicating and the vet is obviously not reading my dog's chart fully. I will not be bringing any of my pets to Six Forks Animal Hospital again and I will share my opinions with my friends and family when they are making decisions for their pets. Be careful out there folks. Care for your furry friends and never trust a vet to do their best.

They really pay attention to his individual needs...meds, food, etc. They even send a report card home with him so you know how he ate and pooped, etc. Especially like that they are so covid concerned that they gave him a bath when he first arrived. Love that they don't hesitate to call with questions to make sure they have his needs straight. Meds at night? With food? etc. Truly appreciate these gals for all they have done for my pup. And the prices are so reasonable for the care they give. Highly recommend!

Susan brought her years of expertise (and her kindness) to help me with my dog, who now looks like a show Puli ! All of the ladies here are so welcoming and nice. You can tell they truly care about the animals coming in. The reason I even went in is because I saw SO many dogs coming out with the most professional looking "teddy bear" cuts I'd seen around ! Can't wait for my new poodle to get this cut when he's older. Thank you Canine Country Club !!!

She came home with what appears like bite marks on her leg and scratches on her tummy. Scratches are understandable as some dogs have sharp claws, but the rest is inexcusable. She was very skiddish when we got her home. She was very dirty AND she smelled like urine. This is neglectful treatment of my dog, of ANY dog. Never going back to this Dogtopia location.

My dog weighs thirteen pounds. He was repeatedly being humped/mounted by three dogs. This went on for twenty minutes as the "coach" in the room did nothing about it. My dog could very likely have been hurt. I called in and only then the coach began breaking up the humping, but it was relentless. She didn't stop the problem, just tried to break it up. The stress on my little dog must have been awful. They moved out one of the dogs eventually. I was told there is no limit on the amount of dogs allowed in the room. There are too many dogs to manage from what I saw. When I got my dog he reeked of urine and general dog odor. It was disgusting. I would never take my dog there again. I do not believe it is a safe place judging by the lack of care for his well being. I have had other dogs at daycare before and they never came out smelling like that. Please take care when considering this place. I am just now reading the reviews and I see I am not alone in my negative review.

It's important to know that they are frequently booked out 4-6 weeks. So when you make an appointment, allow some time to see them because they are very popular. And well worth the wait! I have two dogs (a Cavachon and an English Cocker Spaniel) which require frequent grooming. I am very particular about their grooming and they always look great! I also appreciate the fact that my pups love to go there which gives me great peace of mind. All About Pets is owned by Joyce who is dedicated to providing the best care for your dog. Joyce is highly experienced, detail oriented, very kind and truly cares about you and your dog. She keeps thorough and accurate records about each detail of your dog's grooming. Each grooming session is custom made just for your dog. The groomers are excellent, too - very thorough and experienced. They also provide detailed report cards summarizing each visit. They provide ear cleaning, expression of anal glands, nail grinding and de-matting during each visit. I like the fact that my dogs have the same groomer for each visit which maintains consistency. You can also drop off supplies there to support local dog shelters. I am very grateful to Joyce and her groomers for the wonderful care that they provide. Always a great experience for me and my dogs!
