This Fields Bar and Grill is awesome! The staff is always super friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are great too. My girlfriend and I live a block away from it in the Pearl District and it's always so fun to go too. Also side note - my parents visited a few weeks ago from California and really enjoyed the experience here for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. That makes a difference for sure! 6/22/26, work trip to PDX First visit to Fields. Found this local spot close to downtown area I was staying in. Fairly busy for a Monday night. Right off the bat I knew I'd enjoy it because there were TV's everywhere! Grabbed a seat at the bar, which was pretty active. Before I begin, I've gotta say the bartender, Lincoln (I think she goes by Linc) was fantastic. She was not only handling the bar but the entire restaurant! She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to everyone, pretty amazing in itself. Linc recommended a local draft, RPM IPA, which was awesome. For dinner she quickly recommended the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich, which I agreed to. Kickin' Chicken is a must try if you visit this place. Super tasty, moist and not overwhelming with heat. Stopped by The Fields on a quiet Sunday late afternoon and it immediately felt like a cozy little homestead the kind of place that reminds you of Little House on the Prairie. Even though it wasn't busy, bartender Sarah was the heart of the room. She had that warm, main-character energy that makes the whole place feel alive and welcoming. I ordered two cocktails for $30 total. I understand cocktails can be expensive. What I don't understand is why gratuity was already added to my bill when I closed out. I was dining alone and paid my tab before leaving. I've worked in the service industry, so I completely understand automatic gratuity for large parties, but not for one person. Good size TV's and an ample amount of them. Atmosphere is pretty good but something still feels a little lacking. Would like to see them crank the volume a little bit more for major games. The service is adequate. One of the bartenders was great but some of the others were so/so. Food was surprisingly good. I wasn't very hungry but ended up wolfing down the Happy Hour Mac and Cheese and Slider. I would probably come more often if they had some $3 beers or it was a little more convenient to get to, but the beer prices for what they had were pretty reasonable. read more

It has been a minute since walking into a place where the Longhorns weren't center stage. In Oregon, the Ducks reign supreme. My partner in crime- the most thoughtful amazing person ever- reached out to a Longhorn network in Oregon so we could watch the game while on vacation. So we walked in and found a cozy corner dedicated to the Longhorn network's game watching. The small corner has five tvs! We had the Longhorn game plus a couple others on. The menu offered plenty of food and drink options including several non alcoholic offerings. We ordered drinks, a couple of NA canned drinks, and the house fries. The fries were amazing. They are "sidewinders," and were fried to perfection. My only complaint was that portion wasn't ten times bigger. We will definitely come back even if it's not for a football game! read more

It's very hit or miss here. Sometimes the food is decent and the service is lacking, and other times the food misses the mark while the service is great--but it has never really been consistent. There also seems to be a lack of professionalism at times, which shows in the overall experience and makes it hard to take the service standard seriously. With staff eating and drinking at the bar with guests. Sometimes before their shift but always at the bar drinking. The photo is from my to-go veggie wrap... which honestly just adds to the confusion, because I wasn't expecting this level of inconsistency for a simple order. Things have definitely changed here... We have been regular weekly guests at The Fields on Tuesday nights for trivia for the last year. The atmosphere was always fun, the food was decent, and the service was great. Something has changed, and it is very noticeable. Service has been very slow (almost nonexistent really) for the last few months. We are constantly asking and left waiting for drink refills (even the water carafes left at the tables), checks are not being split correctly, and ticket times on food are pushing 30+ minutes for a cup of French Onion soup. It doesn't feel like the same bar anymore. We are definitely coming only for the trivia. We miss Jules! read more

The app that i've used plenty of times for delivery all of a sudden doesn't recognize my address as valid even tho they use uber eats and I live 10 minutes away, so I had to spend 20 extra bucks to use the actual uber eats app and I didn't get to use my points for the free food I was supposed to get and didn't get to earn points either. I tried to call for help and they couldn't even hear me to help... Deleted the app dont even waste your time downloading it! ALSO the app actually had their full menu whereas uber eats maybe has 1/4 of the actual menu, truly annoying cause the food I wanted isn't even an option. I hope they figure this BS out read more

Went apartment hunting in NW Portland. We had lunch at the fields. Kayla served us both days, and was so sweet and funny!!

A colleague and I wanted a quick late lunch and this was recommended by the valet at our nearby hotel. We were able to be seated immediately. We shared all that we ordered and it was more than enough. Everything was freshly made and delicious! The steak bites were cooked perfectly and ohhhhh that bleu cheese sauce was yummy. This place is hit or miss, ironically. During the MLB playoffs last year, we loved this bar and had some of the best service of our lives. They prioritized the games that were important, and being watched by people in the building. On open day just this last week, the bar tender broke glasses in the bar top right in front of me and left it for someone else to clean up. She then put my game on a television that was not in front of me, took 20 minutes to pour Coke, and tried to charge me for the drink when I said "I think I'm going to try somewhere else tonight." The food can be great, even kind of creative for a sports bar, or it can be mediocre and greasy. I think I'd lean toward the high end of 3 stars for them. The place is cool, great setup and clean aesthetic. Just inconsistent. read more

My friends and I have been going to Fields Bar for a few years now and are always impressed with our experience. They offer delicious food for Brunch and Lunch/Dinner as well as have a wide selection of beers & cocktails to pair with the food. Their staff consistently provides excellent service, whether you're at the bar, at a table, or one of the private rooms/area. We recently had a group of 20 go to Fields for the Rose Bowl game. I called about a week in advance to inquire about reserving a few tables. Jim, the owner, was swift to hop on the phone with me and help me out. We were able to have the upper portion to ourselves, which included 4 high top tables and two standard level tables, perfect for our group's size. Kayla was our server who took care of all of us and she did an incredible job providing best in class service. Not only was she super responsive to our needs, but incredibly detail oriented with our large orders. At the end of our time at Fields, she broke out everyone's tab into separate checks, something that I had never seen before with that large of a group, and something that was extremely appreciated by all of us. Needless to say that our group will continue to come back and spend game days or other events at Fields for many years to come! read more

We live around the corner now a year, and we always drove by and saw the sign "Brunch is back" and said each time we drove by " we need to go". Now we finally mace it. It's a sport bar -peroid. But in any other city that period would end talking about good food. But Portland has this rule that ou only het a liquor license when you serve food. I do not know which genius came up with that idea but its is boosting the food scene. And every bar will have the best food. So at Fields you not get just some fried wings or chips, but really delicious small bites. We went there for brunch and breakfast and I got the Skilled which was potatoes, paprika, onion in a cast iron skillet (unfortunately not heated in that same pan) and then two perfectly prepped eggs, given me the chance to have a juicy egg yolk running over the content of the skillet. Making it a perfect yummy treasure. Hubby had the eggs and vegetarian sausage and was very happy. The portions are ok and pricing is fair - the service was outstanding, fast and friendly even when it was busy since there was a local game going on - but she did took her time to talk to us about some food stuff (how coriander taste like soap to us, based on a gene, lol). Great for the classic sports bar experience. Lots of screens, easy to see what you want to from wherever you sit. The manager even went around and made sure everyone was able to see what they were there to watch before seating us, and before changing any of the games. You can tell they really want customers to have a good experience. It was really busy when we got there, but they were very communicative of any extra waiting, and got to us pretty quickly all things considered. Food was good too! Nothing too special, but exactly what I am looking for at a sports bar. My only complaint is that the seats were a bit uncomfortable, especially if your goal is to stay and watch a game or two. read more

My husband could not stop raving about their blue cheese steak bites (a small plate item) and their nachos. As he said, "this is how nachos should be! Every chip covered with something!" I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the French onion soup. The salad was pretty big, which is what I was craving for lunch!
