Screw holes were never in the same place, font would be off center, and the pricing is way too high compared to other places nearby. George would look at your wear pattern and do his measurements as close to perfect so that it comes off smoothly. When I got better I opted for pro shops where I bowled. Struggled with my release on most of those. Went back to "Star". George retired and sold to one of his employees (Lee?). He re-drilled a ball and my average jumped 5+ pins. I think Lee sold a few years later to few of his employees. They all have the same training and craftsmanship. They are one of the best in the area. I had my kids and now my grandkids will have balls recommended and drilled by Star. Its worth the drive.

We always talked about replacing it, but life happened and we never did. This past Christmas, my husband surprised me with a new and improved version of that original ring. My plan was to wear it stacked with my engagement ring, but once I tried them together, it just didn't feel right. I still wanted to wear it though, especially on days when I'm not wearing my engagement ring. The challenge was that my right hand is slightly larger than my left. I'll be the first to admit I am not an easy customer. I was very indecisive and in and out of the store more times than I'd like to admit. Just popped in again to pick up my necklace. I have a small cross on it and two briolette diamonds…read moreand those two stones kept finding their way through the bale and you could never see them. Mike, their Master Jeweler suggested something so I never have to worry about the three pieces clumping together again. He attached the cross permanently to the center of the chain by using a laser and then affixed one of the briolettes a little way up from the cross and the second one about an inch higher, also laser attached. (vs soldering) Problem solved and I LOVE it! I never have to worry about them sliding together again and not being seen. The two stones are valuable and I am happy they'll no longer be hidden along with the tiny sapphire and diamond cross. Haven't checked them out yet at Timothy Grant? Don't wait any longer!!
