We have such a special history with Timothy Grant Jewelers. My husband purchased a ring for me here when we were dating. Sadly, it was lost before we got engaged. We always talked about replacing it, but life happened and we never did. This past Christmas, my husband surprised me with a new and improved version of that original ring. My plan was to wear it stacked with my engagement ring, but once I tried them together, it just didn't feel right. I still wanted to wear it though, especially on days when I'm not wearing my engagement ring. The challenge was that my right hand is slightly larger than my left. I'll be the first to admit I am not an easy customer. I was very indecisive and in and out of the store more times than I'd like to admit. I walked in on a Friday less than 30 minutes before closing, without an appointment hoping to have a watch band quickly changed out. A gentleman with reddish hair and a jeweler's head-mounted loupe (I think that is what it is called?) immediately took care of my watch! While waiting, I had the chance to learn from some of the employees that they don't actually handle watch sales, which leads to the inescapable conclusion that Timothy Grant has a internal culture of service - something sorely lacking in many of the online/ big box businesses. Just popped in again to pick up my necklace. I have a small cross on it and two briolette diamonds and those two stones kept finding their way through the bale and you could never see them. Mike, their Master Jeweler suggested something so I never have to worry about the three pieces clumping together again. He attached the cross permanently to the center of the chain by using a laser and then affixed one of the briolettes a little way up from the cross and the second one about an inch higher, also laser attached. (vs soldering) Problem solved and I LOVE it! I never have to worry about them sliding together again and not being seen. The two stones are valuable and I am happy they'll no longer be hidden along with the tiny sapphire and diamond cross. Haven't checked them out yet at Timothy Grant? Don't wait any longer!! I just picked up 2 rings and a necklace that needed repair/work. my diamonds are very old (inherited) and they explained to me the risks of working with them. I needed to get a ring repaired and it's a very important family heirloom, so I refused to go someplace that sends their jewelry out for repairs. I wanted someplace that repairs were done on site and that's how I ended up here! The ring was repaired and cleaned beautifully, and the price was so reasonable I don't even remember what I paid. I went in to get two rings put together into one ring. (They were a size 8 1/2 ). Went back to pick up the ring(s) and couldn't get them on. The salesgirl (who I knew as I've shopped there for years ) put it on a ring slide and it was a 6 1/2!!! She told the owner who said they could fix it, but charged me to fix their mistake with the sizing ! Seriously?! This review would be five stars for the jewelry. They did an incredible job fixing my ring. It's polished and looks brand new. You can't even tell it was sized. The first time I was in here, it was several minutes of discussion before it hit me that the woman at the counter wasn't wearing a mask! She also didn't rush to put it on after it was pointed out. The second time in, I had to ask both women in the store to please wear their masks. They claimed to be social distancing but I don't think anyone in this store is taking the pandemic seriously. Only open from 9:30 to 4:30. Have gotten my watch batteries replace their several times. Most recently, they opened up the back of my watch and were unable to close it, causing me to have to come back a second time during their limited hours to pick it up once they closed the back of the watch. No offer to waive some or all of the $15 charge nor deliver the watch to my home not more than a quarter of a mile away. As they told me, they are a mom and pop shop with limited resources and skills. We will not be back. read more

I mean, when you get a call on December 21 asking for a rush, one day watch engraving, and the staff gets it done perfectly, with a smile, with no rush charge, that is customer service, folks. I haven't spent much time in the store itself, so I can't yet comment on the goods for sale, but as mentioned, the staff are so kind and helpful. I called ahead to time to see when I would be able to bring in my ring to be priced and the lady was very nice over the phone and answered all the questions I had. When you enter they have a dog named Buzz who is a boxer and he is just the sweetest boy. He gave me kisses and loved the scratches I gave him. Right before you enter there is a sign outside that says "priority parking for nervous engagement ring buyers". How cute is that? When you enter they have a little station that you can have some tea or coffee and even some cookies. The store is bright and all the jewellery is displayed very nicely.
