I had and hour to kill while waiting for my phone to get fixed at Cellagain at Gurnee Mills mall. I went in to Finish just to see what was new. As soon as I walked in I was greeted nicely. The workers are very professional and very attentive. Let's just say I walked out of there with a two new pairs of shoes. I love that store and every time I go I never have any complaints. read more

She also had her medical task-trained service dog with her at the time. We are not new customers--your staff has seen us in the store multiple times before, both with and without the service dog--so there should already be awareness of her condition. When we arrived, there were four power scooters available, and we asked to borrow one, as we have done many times in the past without any issue. However, we were stopped by an employee named Neil, and my wife was told she could not use a scooter--even after explaining that she has a metal rod affecting her spine and was in pain. We were then directed to Kristin near the entrance. After waiting several minutes, she called a manager but largely ignored what I was explaining about my wife's condition. Despite clearly communicating the situation--and despite your staff being familiar with us--we were denied use of a scooter and told they needed to keep all four available for other customers. I even offered to leave my driver's license as collateral, but that was dismissed without any consideration. Frustrated and disappointed, we left the store. Afterward, we called and spoke with Elizabeth, who was far more understanding and willing to help--something the in-store staff did not offer at all. We have always borrowed carts from your store without issue, so this experience was both confusing and upsetting. The lack of empathy, consistency, and willingness to accommodate someone with a known disability is unacceptable. I was fully intending to make a purchase during that visit, but instead, we left feeling disrespected and overlooked. This situation could have been handled very differently with even a small amount of understanding and basic customer care. I hope this is addressed so that no other customer--especially someone with a disability--is treated this way. Very disappointed,

The Gurnee location Bass Pro Shop has a good selection of sporting clothes and many unique items…read more We were greeted very nicely at the entrance by Bob. They have a shooting range as well as the marine aquarium with fish species you'd find in the area lakes. I noticed that depending on where in the country you visit one of their shops, there's always items that are exclusive to just that state. In my own opinion, sale prices aren't really a good deal to be found. They don't mark items down much.

Then finally two older ladies came out of the back area- I announced my presence with a "hello" since I was browsing their aisles of flowers and tropical plants and did not want to startle them. They were both not very friendly and I immediately felt uncomfortable like I was interrupting them. I proceeded to ask her about bushes and one of the women acted like she didn't understand a word that I said while the other one just completely walked away. (I am a GenX Japanese American north side Chicagoan and my partner is a biracial black and white north side Chicagoan as well) she was extremely snotty and rude to me like she didn't understand what I was asking her so I took her outside to speak with my partner because I was already visibly upset-so then I asked her "are you Mary? " she's like "No Mary is inside." So Mary was the other rude lady peeking out the door. I'm like thanks but no thanks. Let's go. I asked my partner in the car if it was just me and he said "no these women are rude." So as a small business minority woman myself-who runs her own small business in the city of Chicago - I WILL NEVER GO BACK there it's was not a pleasant experience shop there at your own risk.

The workers are always helpful and friendly and the lot is well organized. I have good success with everything I get here usually but I have definitely killed a few bell pepper plants in the past which is, to be fair, probably my own fault. Prices are up this year but that's true for everywhere and I didn't find anything to be outrageously expensive. If your looking for some herbs, flowers, or veggies to grow its worth a stop in to look around at their selection, they also have ground cover plants if that's what your in the market for.

I bought 3 variegated leaf new guinea impatients for a large pot. I had to remove 2 because 1 was enough and planted elsewhere. They also have unique plants. See orange new guinea impatient with pinky ruffled edge. It's striking! Unique vegetables as well. They have a black cherry tomato called Midnight Snack. Will get next year if they carry it. I saw it too late in the season.
