GREAT SERVICE!... The owner (Jayson) is a great guy and cares about the customers experience..if you need skis,boots or apparel this is the place. And conveniently located right in lake Geneva! I walked in intending to get new skis and boots and walked out with a great pair of used skis with bindings which he did not need to do..he could of sold me new skis but he listened and knows when to proactively give suggestions without being pushy and it turns out the used skis were exactly what I wanted! Jayson is a real genuine guy that listens! He has a lot of knowledge and after the purchase of the boots I came back and did a custom fit because of a few pressure points in them which made skiing unbearable..after an hour I had a custom fit on the liners of my boots and they are SO COMFORTABLE NOW. During the whole process he graciously explains what he is doing and the reasons for it which made the whole experience seamless. I love my new skis and boots and I cannot wait to put them to good use. Most ski shops near Chicago or Milwaukee do not offer what board shop has and that is QUALITY Service..and a listening ear. I went in to get my boots heat molded and was told it was too late. I understand how it was too late but the respond for when i could get them done was very rude. I was questioned for why I came in this late when I was just stopping by after work. I was also told I would have to come in first thing to get them done. I live 30 minutes away but work 10 minutes away so it makes way more sense to come after work but no if I didn't come in first thing tomorrow, which I work that time anyways, then it couldn't be done. I understand it is time consuming but you have to understand I also have work and things to do and the responses were just overall very rude. I get it's the end of the day but it's the end of my day too please have some more decency to the lady working the front desk. to clarify i'm not upset they couldn't do my boots i'm upset that the response to me even asking was rude. read more

Great place to pick up boards, tubes, gear, or apparel. Stopped in just to look around and ended up buying a life jacket. Can't remember the name of the guy who helped us out, but he was super knowledgeable about the products and the area itself. Knowing nothing about life jackets and having never owned one, he was really helpful in finding the right style and explaining the proper fit. read more

So I had checked it out and being into supper board sports I loved the stock and the customer care, recently I got into winter sports so logically I had only one place I could go and trust, The owner worked with me personally and he Was honest with me. I always make a point of stopping in at The Board Shop whenever in Lake Geneva. The selection of snowboards is pretty good for the area. The staff is usually young and not very helpful. They tend to be busier talking to each other then trying to help customers. It is a great store to shop at if you know what your looking for. read more

The folks that run this place have got it figured out. They are down to earth and easy to talk to. They are not condescending or esoteric. They research and ride the products and sell what they believe in. They have great pricing. You simply can't find a better shop like this.
