There is a pizza place next door that will deliver upon request. The piano player, Peter, is there on Wednesdays 6-9 and Fridays 6-7:30. He is fantastic! Then at 7:30pm there is karaoke, which is really fun. The wine selection is fabulous and they also have a humidor and seating outside! Excellent atmosphere! And there are plenty of tables to sit. I think there were some ladies playing the Chinese domino game, it starts with an "m". Got to meet the owner Ray and he picked out a fantastic Cab for me, it was the Story Storypoint Cab out of California. Later I also had the Martin Ray and in my opinion it was not as good, but it was a heavier mouth feel and it had layers to it. They have a piano player Wednesday and Saturday. He shows up around 6pm. So they have free slasa and chips in the back corner most nights. On Tuesday the have tacos. And Tuesday there are meatballs. On Friday they have Karaoke around 7. If you like wine, or you are an enthusiast, this would be a great place to visit if you find yourself in Winter Haven Florida. They have buy one glass 2nd half price. If you buy a bottle and stay, it is a $15 corkage fee. We kind of did the math and depending on the pour, and their pours are generous, it is cheaper to buy by the glass. When you visit they your own math gymnastics. Bottom line, Grape Expectations, the wine is great. The service is exceptionally better. And if you like a mellow vibe with great wine. You won't be disappointed in this stop. Finally, shout out to Terra, between her and Ray we had such a great time. CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK!

And then we spotted two retro arcade games--Mortal Kombat II and Street Fighter Turbo--that guests can play while waiting for their food. Talk about nostalgia! That definitely took us back to our childhoods. Okay, okay... I'm showing our age. Let's get back to the food! The Brunch Sauvage's menu combines Polynesian-inspired cuisine with American favorites and creative twists, which immediately caught our attention. We decided to share two entrées: Duck Confit Benedict Duck confit served over crispy hash browns, topped with poached eggs, hollandaise, and chives. Brunch Scallion Pancake A savory scallion pancake topped with scrambled eggs, cheese, millionaire bacon, island sauce, and sweet Thai chili, served with a side of grits. Both dishes were different, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved that each entrée came served in its own personalized cast-iron skillet. It made the presentation feel rustic and unique while keeping everything warm. And the portions were perfectly sized for brunch--satisfying without being overwhelmingly heavy. And Then There Was the Cocktail... We couldn't visit a Polynesian craft bar without trying one of their creative cocktails! We went with the Mango Sticky Rice Milk Punch -- made with coconut-washed brandy, mango soju, five-spice, and vanilla. This cocktail was cool, light, fruity, and refreshing, with just enough of that tropical flavor to make it feel like the perfect summer brunch drink. Honestly, I really enjoyed it! Sauvage was such a fun find for our Sunday brunch. Between the tropical atmosphere, creative Polynesian-American menu, unique cocktails, nostalgic arcade games, and beautifully presented food, it was definitely more than just your typical brunch spot. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-portioned, and thoughtfully presented. And the fact that we discovered it while celebrating a 50th birthday weekend made the experience even better. Walking up the vibe is beautiful. It feels like all we needed to do was have a bed placed inside the restaurant to take a nap after a delicious meal. This was the best brisket burger I've ever had. I ordered them extra crispy naked and they almost came the way I asked, except they added seasoning salt at the end, which turned out to be okay. This establishment will never have my business again. The fact that my sister calls me crying because she was treated so unfairly as an employee here is so upsetting and unsettling that there are people this hateful in my hometown. The OWNERS and the HEAD CHEF (who are middle aged men) treated her (a 20 year old girl) like less than dirt. With their homophobic remarks, belittling attitude, and blatant disrespect to my sister for being a gay woman in the kitchen is something I just can't let them get away with. I understand everyone has their own beliefs and I respect that, as everyone should, but to be this hateful to where someone has to quit their job is not something you can blame on your beliefs. I am just so disgusted and outraged. I have never made a post like this and I hate that it came to this. I honestly pray for this place and that the people realized just how horrible they are. Given the limited menu post-Covid, it's not bad but the menu was MUCH more expansive before the pandemic. I'm glad that it's still in business because they serve good food with generous portions and the prices are okay, a bit steep for my liking, but okay. Honestly, though, the real reason why I go there every Wednesday is to hear my friend's daughter and her jazz group Steamin' Jazz play. That's basically it, otherwise I'd never make the drive all the way in to Winter Haven. There are options closer to where I live. For the restaurant owner to demand the group fire the singer and play only soft instrumental jazz is ridiculous. Were there THAT many patrons who got up and left because the music was too loud? I find that VERY hard to believe. Know this, Fire, I only come for the band and most Wednesdays that's the case, most people are fans of the band. read more

After two visits, I think I can write an informed review. So, let's start with the positives-Good space, good vibe, great food and friendly service. Now the negatives-it takes a ridiculously long time to get an alcoholic beverage! The bar offers a good selection of liquor, wine, and beer, and the cocktails (when they do arrive) are actually well made, but the wait is simply way too long to get the first drink and then to get any drink after that. Honestly, after a while you start to lose interest and want to leave. This is incredibly frustrating because the food is excellent and the menu is varied and reasonably priced. And, although the service is friendly and enthusiastic, the lag time to get a drink and replace a drink might keep me from coming back. This would seem to be either a training issue or a management issue. Overall grade: "C+" read more

I had a 10 Oz, steak that was cooked pretty much the way I ordered it. I enjoyed it. I ordered a sweet potato as a side dish and it was huge, also done well. The small loaves of bread are good and served warm. My wife had a flat bread and it was thin crust the way she like it so she was happy. The menu is a little on the thin side with not a very big selection. The wait staff worked together to keep us supplied with bread and drinks and to check on us.I really like when a restaurant works as a team like that. Good job folks. My only concern is that our waitress had long strands of hair hanging down on both sides of her face (And over the food). I barely could see her face all night. That must be a health violation. Tasha our server was wonderful as usual. love our monthly girls night out. Fire always has our tables ready never has a problem if someone shows up that we weren't expecting. My food was great hot and they were prompt. They are always willing to take pictures for us. Appreciate the most how they treat our most special girl she's everyone's Mom and they treat her with such kindness. With my Parents gone now that was and always will be important to me and is the best way to have my repeated business. read more

Had a horrible dinner here while on vacation. Went with my family and could not believe how slow the service was. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to even take our initial order. The drinks came out all wrong and the selection was not good for kids. To make matters worse our waitress kept sneezing and seemed like she had a cold which is so disgusting. Our meals were cold and the service once again slow. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Last but not least, Beth our server was kind and sweet. She was patient and very accommodating with great table manner and should certainly be recognized for her gracious nature and hospitality.

Overall, it was a pretty bland salad, mostly iceberg lettuce. The grouper was wonderful, lightly breaded and the perfect crispness. The portion of 3 filets was more than adequate. A small tub of Ken's tartar sauce was included. The cinnamon butter and sweet potato made an excellent combination and a great foil for the grouper. Everything was piping hot when it arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to order this combination again. My husband enjoyed his linguine. Given it was about an hour between when we were seated and when the entrées arrived, we thought the pace was rather slow. But the quality and quantity of food made up for it in my opinion.

License plates along the walls with photos of friends. Booth was super comfortable and the ac was working like it was on the payroll. Their menu was huge and gave a lot of options. We had their breakfast and it was delicious. I tried the shrimp and cheese omelette because it sounded different and it was amazing fried shrimp with peppers and onions with classic melty cheese. I had the grits because I wanted to try it with the shrimp and just wonderful. The Julius mix was memory in a cup. Reminded me of the mall style orange Julius. Just what was needed. The server had her birthday and she was on top of it. Refills as needed and just checking up on us. I wish I remembered her name to shout it out. An amazing time, with amazing people, sharing amazing food. If you are in area or just wanted to make a trip. Worth it.

I decided on the counrty fried steak with hash browns and a grilled biscuit. I actually wasn't given that. Another person in our group took my order and never questioned it. So I ended up with a country fried steak, grits, and a biscuit. The steak was decent sized portion. My guess it comes pre-made a frozen. The grits were a bit thick for my liking but with a little butter and salt they were fine. The biscuit was good but again I suspect it's pre-made. The coffee was nice and strong. Service was good considering we had a group of 10. I'd be willing to try it again just to be fair. The price out the door with a tip was $20.
