Have been here several times and it is a great facility. I have gone both for shooting and once for a firearm transfer. Staff has been good each time. The price for shooting is nice and the target prices are affordable if you did not bring your own. The range is very well lit and well ventilated. Even during the summer heat it stays cool indoors. The lobby is very welcoming and has TV and comfortable seating for wives/family to sit and wait while business takes place. I always recommend the firing line to shooters in this area. read more

I tried a few gun ranges and this BY FAR was the best!!! They really make sure that everyone there knows how to handle the rental firearms which makes you feel safe, not only with yourself but for the others shooting around you. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly!! Each time I received a new weapon they showed me the safety features of that gun. I second the comments on the staff, not friendly or inviting at all. It's a nice range, with a comfortable waiting area and clean restrooms, but it cost $40 to share a lane with my wife. That's ridiculous, I have an annual family membership elsewhere in town for $150... And my wife did her CCW class here, let me just say, her renewals are done somewhere else now. read more

I am a 68 year young retiree who bought herself a 22 Rugar SR22 in Phoenix, AZ at a gun show. I have only taken it out to a shooting range in Mesa on one occassion. I have since bought a gun cleaning kit at another gun show but do NOT know how to clean my gun. I called the Firing Line to see if anyone that works there can teach me how to break down and clean my gun? I was told no and that for them to clean it would be $70. I more than once explained that I NEED to learn how to clean it myself, with someone 'assisting or watching me' so that I learn properly. I am disappointed and will now begin calling around to find a business that will accommadate my needs. With all the gun issues in America perhaps classes for ALL people of ALL ages that are willing to pay, should readily be available? What say YOU? read more

I had a great experience at The Firing Line! I tried to sign up for their gun fundamentals class, but when I called all the spots for the class had been filled. But, they told me to stop in anyways in case someone didn't show up. So that's what I did, but everyone did show up. The instructor Brittney said she would let me in anyways. I really appreciated that! The staff was so helpful and friendly, very knowledgeable and patient with gun newbies like me. The class was great, very informative. First time gun range user trying out new revolver. Explained that this was my first time in a range and was given a very thorough expectations of use. The staff were friendly and accommodating. After shooting new gun and was about to pay I asked the staff helping me if it was possible to check out my firearm, the cylinder (may not be right term) seemed a little loose. He checked out gun brought out tools went to work at it, brought out a different set of tools to continue and after working on it for 10-15 minutes proclaimed that everything was as it should be (a relief to me). He did not charge me a dime! I considered this excellent service especially from an novices point of view! When asking about getting a CCW permit was given specific info and phone # to get started. Wish all establishments were as accommodating as this business!! read more

Brought my girlfriend here today for initial firearms training. She had an hour (really hour and a half) session with Greg. He's an NRA certified instructor but more importantly former Marine and all around great American. Perfect! Spent time getting to know her, what she knew, what she wanted to accomplish and then the training began. Started with the parts of the pistol, to safety, grip, stance, possible malfunctions, loading, unloading, etc etc. Greg made sure that she was perfectly at ease at each step. Spent the whole time in the classroom. Next lesson will be review and then beginning range work. I brought her to a pistol range a year ago and the smartest thing I did was to put her in the hands of a professional. Cannot recommend Greg highly enough. Range looks very nice as well, good selection of rental guns and retail. Go! read more

If you are active military or a veteran, do not bring your business here! I retired after 20 years of active duty service in the Navy. I went here again to give them one more shot at my future business. The rep who helped me was good, however, the policies at this business are unforgivable as a veteran, the rental guns maintenance is substandard, and the price you pay for the practice ammo is too high for the amount of misfires you will have. I brought my wife and mother to shot and asked if I was paying, would I get the military discount for all three of us. I was told no, additionally, since I was now no longer active duty, I would not receive the discount. Since we were already there, I decided to go ahead but informed the rep it would be the last time I did. I rented two different make and model .22s for my wife and mother. I purchased the ammo for the .22 as well. Both of the .22s stove-piped or misfired 2 out of 5 shots. You could tell on one of the .22s that they are not cleaned very often as the slide action when racking the ammo was very slow. In closing, I gave them another chance to redeem the last time I went in 2014 and nothing has changed. Support your veterans and armed service members by taking your business elsewhere! read more

I have been a member of this range for over a year now and am happy with my experience at The Firing Line. Jake and his team make safety a top priority without being oppressive, which can be a nuisance at other ranges. The staff are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They offer safety and ccw courses at a competitive price point, rental weapons to try, and ammunition for purchase as value added services. As an added bonus, they have a decent selection of hand guns for sale. The range itself is clean and well maintained. As a member, I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get a lane, which I appreciate, and I have found their policies to be fair and consistent. I would and have recommended them to many, including the owner of my company, who has since purchased a corporate membership. read more

Guy at the counter was very helpful and greeted me right when I walked into the facility . I told him it was my first time there. He gave me a run down of how the place worked. I had already signed the waiver form online, so after I gave him my license and showed him my ammo I was off to the races. Shooting was great. Nice clean range with everything you need in case you wind up forgetting anything. I had my own gun and ammo, so it just cost me $20 for the range time. You could stay all day if you wanted for the 20 bucks. I will definitely come back here. I plan on purchasing a membership. Overall this was a great experience. read more

Being in law enforcement I just ignored him and told myself that I'd never go back there again. I signed up for the family membership because of the reviews. Boy, do I regret it. Some of the guys there are great. Chris was very helpful. The guy in the glock shirt is an ass. He's rude as heck. We just asked about a military discount and he gave us a, why do they need a discount for. They're already paying x amount for the family membership. He could of just said no. When we turned in our firearms, he just grabbed our IDs and tossed it on the table and walked off. If I could have cancelled my membership, i would have. Today, my brother in law went in to try and do a PPT. He's also a member of the range. He was turned away by the staff. They told him, we have a big group coming in, we don't have time to do it for you. Wow, what kind of customer service is that?...... I'll gladly sign up and drive across town to The Pistol Range whenever my membership is up. Heck, if you're the owner and you're reading this, give me my refund and I'll cancel my membership now.
