This was the 1st Bass Pro Shop in Florida, opening in 1998. This Dania Beach shop , is a massive 160,000-sq ft outdoor destination with a large aquarium, an indoor shooting range, boats, tense, fishing, equipment, barbecuing, bicycles, golf carts, packaged food... and the Islamorada Fish Company restaurant. Unfortunately, I left empty handed. I found clothes & hats in black or white which wouldn't work. Disappointed I couldn't even order other colors from their website.

The employee directed me to the Fila high top to try on although my toes were squished together due to non-wide sneakers. I also browsed the clearance section at the front of the store but no wide sneakers there either. The window advertisement was two pairs of selected sneakers for $109.99, not sure if this is a permanant deal or just for the holidays.

I usually prefer to figure things out on my own, but it wasn't easy to see which section of the store was for basketball shoes vs. running shoes. Then I asked a Nike representative a quick question. Kerry immediately helped show me where to look. Then he made a few suggestions and with the help he enlisted from another Nike expert, I quickly had three pairs of shoes to try on. It was a very efficient, helpful process. I found the prices to be reasonable and the selection was extensive. I had received an email about a 10% discount for my birthday. While reading the email about how to redeem that discount, I saw that I needed to download the Nike app. When I did that, I got another message; this time with a 15% discount (if I spent $100). My shoes were $80, so I added some socks and a t-shirt. I ended up saving $16. I sought out the Manager, Drew to compliment Kerry for his excellent assistance.
