PuroClean made the process of having my flooded wood floors ripped out and replaced painless and…read moreeasy. This is an update to a previous review. So it turns out my wood floor buckling was much worse than originally thought. The dehumidifier and tent installed by Adam at PuroClean did a great job of drying out the moisture beneath my floors. Unfortunately, before the buckling even began, before I even noticed any damage, and before PuroClean came out the first time, the water had apparently been sitting for quite a while doing it's damage to the wood and also began creeping up my walls, separating my bottom molding from my wall. It took over a week for that damage to make itself known because between myself and the guys at Puroclean, every inch of my condo had been checked for possible additional water damage (aside from the floors). When I noticed it late at night I frantically called Stuart thinking I must have a burst pipe in my wall, and he was out first thing the next morning to determine where the water could have been coming from. We found it was residual water from the original flood and he installed heaters and another dehumidifier to dry out my walls and prevent further damage. By the end of the whole fiasco, I had 4 separate areas of buckling on my floors where the water had had a chance to sit before the PuroClean guys were able to work their magic and dry out all the moisture, and a small hole behind my bottom baseboard on my wall where we were trying to determine the cause of the moisture in the wall. At that point it was clear I needed to rip up my floors and install new ones. My project manager from PuroClean, Dax, took care of all the details for me. He referred me to a great flooring guy and plumber to fix the flood. In addition to the great referrals, Dax coordinated all the work including the demo work done by his guys and installation of the new floors with the flooring guy, essentially taking all the worry and work out of my hands. All I had to do was be present to let them in and do the work. The demo work was done by Adam, Tony, and Derek at PuroClean. These guys worked until they were utterly exhausted to pull up my floors, that we later learned had been improperly installed by the original builders. They were such hard and enthusiastic workers. They also happen to love cats and were patient when my deaf rescue cat continued to venture out to explore, undeterred by the loud banging associated with pulling up the floors. All the PuroClean employees were genuine joys to work with. As a female that lives alone, I am often cautious about having workers come to work when I am home alone, but that concern never entered my head with these guys. They were polite, friendly, professional, and patient with pets and a genuine joy to work with. PuroClean really made what would normally be an awful and upsetting situation as painless as possible. They got all the estimates for me, found the best vendors, and took care of all the head-ache causing situations that arise when your condo is flooded and your floors are ruined. Most importantly, the quality of their work was phenomenal, and I truly could not be happier with the end result. As much as I wish the flood and need for new floors never occurred, I really don't think I could have asked for a better outcome. I truly can't think of any criticism to raise about PuroClean.

From then on, a total of almost five months, they were nothing short of exceptional! From communication with them, to their quick response time, to them keeping us accurately posted thru a very difficult time in our lives, to their much needed assistance with our materials replacement supplier and our insurance company were all so very comforting and helpful every step of the way. Perhaps the best part of dealing with all of them was the feeling that they were truly concerned about what we went thru and did everything in their power to be as accommodating as possible from demolition to reconstruction. The end result is we couldn't be happier with the way our home turned out! Very Disappointed -- Poor Workmanship and No Follow-Through…read more I normally do not write negative reviews, but our experience with this comapny was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. We hired the company to perform water damage remediation and subsequently rebuild the affected areas, including installation of LVP flooring. Unfortunately, within approximately nine months of installation, the flooring began to warp, buckle, chip, and come up from the floor. This was not a minor cosmetic issue--it was a significant failure of the flooring installation. As soon as we noticed the problems, we contacted Moses, the project manager, who initially told us they would address and repair the flooring. Unfortunately, after that conversation, he stopped responding and effectively ghosted us. We continued trying to get the issue resolved and eventually contacted Rob, one of the co-owners, but we experienced the same lack of follow-through. We contacted the company within the first year, while the flooring problems were actively developing. However, we were repeatedly told that they were out of town and that they would get back to us. The delays continued, and by the time we were finally able to have the matter addressed, we were told that the flooring was out of warranty. That was extremely frustrating because we had made the company aware of the problem well before the one-year mark. In our experience, the company did not take responsibility for workmanship that had clearly failed within a relatively short period of time, nor did they make a meaningful effort to resolve the problem when we brought it to their attention. The quality of the flooring installation was unacceptable, and what made the experience even worse was the lack of communication and follow-through afterward. If you hire a contractor, you should be able to expect them to stand behind their work when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Restoration 1 of North Atlanta. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company do their research, ask detailed questions about workmanship warranties, and get everything in writing before moving forward. Based on our experience with the flooring installation and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we would not use this company again and cannot recommend them.

Coming home to a water leak is never a pleasant experience. I've had to go through that a lot over…read morethe years as a property manager. I'd like to think that I already had compassion and empathy for my residents whenever this would occur. Now that I've gone through it I definitely have an extra soft spot in my heart for what they go through. ServiceMaster by Bailey probably wouldn't have been my top choice for remedying this problem. ServiceMaster has a great reputation for cleaning fire damage, flood issues, and mold problems. They're also known for being expensive. You truly do pay for the expertise (and for the employees). Our property manager called them (this is a condo, not an apartment, so that makes a difference because we're the ones paying) to expedite a resolution. Two techs came out after the vice-president of something evaluated the damage wearing a very expensive suit. That's the first sign that this isn't going to be cheap. Subsequent evaluations had them recommending two dehumidifiers and about ten blowers. The dehumidifiers cost $101/day and the blowers $27/day. They estimated that it would take about 3 days to dry everything. I didn't think all of that was necessary and recommended that they pull out all the wet carpet padding to speed up the drying process. Flash forward 12 hours later. One dehumidifier was placed in the room with the wet carpet along with three blowers. Two more blowers were in the living room drying the hardwoods. What's the result? The carpet and padding is still sopping wet and they never removed it. They're coming back today to evaluate and I'm sure their recommendation will be to add more equipment. What they need to do is take out the wet padding and blow air under the carpet. It will dry in just a few hours. I hope I'll be able to update this with a 5-star review. Check back in a few days to see how things go.

First off I would like to say they did have a prompt response and was here the day after the storm…read moredamage occurred to do an assessment of the damage. They placed a tarp on our roof covering the hole from the broken skylight. Then after they left the claims adjuster from our insurance contacted us to confirm their findings and came by to do his assessment and compare pictures. A week from the time WinWin came out they sent a crew to cut out the drywall that was affected removing it from our bathroom ceiling, bathroom interior by sink, exterior to hallway (we have a hole and can see in bathroom ),part of ceiling in garage, removing our toilet and placing it in the shower. They then put several fans and two dehumidifiers one in the bathroom and one in the garage below the hole that they covered in plastic. Took several more pictures and left, didnt say how long to keep the fans running or when they would return. After a few sleepless nights with a constant loud humming of several construction type fans running and not hearing from them about when they would come out or what happens next we reached out to our contact at Win Win. Still no real response or communication about whats next. The dehumidifier in the garage stopped working after about 3 days and still no one knew anything. After repeated calls to Win Win, our adjuster and our insurance agent (American Family Insurance) a different guy from Win Win finally stopped by to pick up the fans and he again took pictures. We still have a hole in our roof from the skylight, drywall has not been replaced, our toilet is still in the shower, we still have a hole in our garage, and still no answers. Today marks 3 weeks from the first contact 2 weeks from the time everything was torn apart and we still have no answers just a lot of round and round bs. So Monday we will be reaching back out to adjuster and American Family insurance as well as Win Win to see if the know when the repairs in the bathroom will start. Will update review once this frustrating, unprofessional ordeal is finally over.
