We shopped around to different stores and found that Floor Trader had the best prices and great staff that helped make our flooring choice easier. I'd also recommend Wayne and Mike as installers. We replaced almost 2500 sq ft of flooring along with putting in all new baseboards and they did a great job. They came in and removed all the tile and carpeting and ensured that everything was done perfectly before they left. This review is overdue but I have to express my gratitude to James at the Floor Trader for going above and beyond in helping me with an issue that I had with my old flooring. Floor Trader did a great job on my laminate install but I had some water damage that required me to have my whole floor redone. James spent days/weeks seeking out sealant solutions, talking to reps and distributors, to find the best product that comes with a warranty. This was done as a grand goodwill gesture with nothing to gain in it for him. These people are so helpful! My dog chewed out a piece of my carpet- (in our new home) after a Morning of driving from Home Depot, then to Lowes , and other big name stores, while spending time (hours) trying to match my carpet with out any one to offer assistance- then was finally told they could not sell me carpet unless I'm paying to have it fully installed - I literally needed a 2'x2' piece....I called The floor Trader! Lisa was so sweet over the phone and I'm not sure if she could hear the panic and stress in my voice but she assured me they could help! When I arrived I was greeted immediately with friendly smiles ! Lisa helped me right away match the piece of carpet I brought in and and gave me tips on how to repair the damaged area- with in minutes she had another team member , I believe his name was Steve help me out with cutting the piece I needed ! He was so helpful and kind . I was on my way back to fix my carpet all in a matter of maybe 20 mins! I cannot say how happy I am with my experience at FT. I was on a short timeline and they came thru for me! I came into the showroom, selected my carpets and the "measuring man" happened to be near my town that afternoon. He came by my house to measure on his way home. He called in the measurements and 20 minutes later I had the exact quote for the project. They were able to get carpet installers to meet my short deadline. Warren who helped me 20 years ago, was absolutely amazing, once again, when I needed assistance. He also was a tremendous help, when choosing laminate flooring, for the rest of the house. Warren and the office team are amazing! Great customer service and great people. Just be cautious of the installer. We had Richard Morris install flooring and it was the worst remodel experience. Everything went wrong from smoking and leaving butts on the property, to flakiness and poor quality. Baseboards had paint drips, some baseboard had caulking randomly and inconsistently applied. The caulking on the floor joints is falling out already, and the floor makes a popping sound when you walk in some spots. Not to mention the damage to my fire place (chipped bricks) and throwing things around in my garage (his shop vac and tools on top of my appliances). It was a prolonged bad experience. read more

You have reservations about people coming into your home and working inside of your home that was never a concern of mine with the crew. My dog welcomed them the first day like they had been living there for years. They were friendly, knowledgeable and always kept us in the loop as to what they were doing and why they were doing it. Due to bad customer service with whoever the lady we talked to when we called the store, she was very rude and very impatient to answer questions that we had, we decided not to go with floor traders but we did find the best place to go with great deals and very friendly. with better deals and better quality along with free installation! Saved us over $1000. Sad that floor traders has to miss out on customers because their employee doesn't know how to speak to a customer. read more

Purchased flooring in December. Due to the holidays, the installation guy, Wayne came and measured in January. Called after a couple of weeks and my order had been lost. I got a call back that it was found and the estimate on the installation should be forth coming. Waited a couple more weeks and went into the store and was told the installer was stuck in another State due to the big southern storm, and that the flooring I had chosen was now out of stock, however a new shipment would be arriving the following week. I got a call the next day to assure me the flooring was scheduled, for sure to arrive. A couple more weeks have passed and we went into the store today, to see what the delay is , and discovered that the flooring was back in stock, yet I had not been contacted. I got my money back, but disappointed that I was lost in their unorganized paperwork. Also disappointed that they didn't try to make it right today. Additionally, each time I called or came in, the first question was who was the salesperson, they weren't making any effort to assist if it wasn't their sale. Sad. read more

Nice store with a Huge Selection. I pretty much knew what I wanted when i first visited the Store, so my selection wasn't difficult. Their price on my Mannington Laminate was as low or equal to other's I checked, even On-Line Dealers... that made me Very Happy. The only drawback was with my Salesperson. We seemed to have a communication problem almost from the start and it seemed to continue throughout the Sale. Nothing Big, but it was a little annoying. The GREAT Redeemer here was the Installer. Wayne Taylor was simply Fabulous ! He gave me a Full Estimate... after having to contact my Salesperson with a Few Phone Calls. The Estimate included a few extras that I wanted done and he was Happy to work with me. Wayne and his crew did the Job in one day, and did it to Perfection. Wayne is a GREAT Installer !!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Warren and his staff are good, genuine, and honest people...hard to come by now a days. I went to 4 different flooring companies to find good quality flooring at a good price (they have a HUGE selection and all types of flooring). I caught some of these 4 comapnies in a lie when they tried to inform me that the floor was American made when I already knew that it was not (do your research people!) When I went to floor traders, they were very honest. I was concerned about the laminate floors that emit formaldehyde, and Warren was able to tell me about the history and controvery of some of the floors which put my mind at ease. He even found and price matched a floor that I wanted from another store, but had walked away from due to unprofessionalism and dishonesty. He helped me purchase the floors and load them up. When we had trouble with installing a piece, we called Floor Traders who were more than helpful in answering our questions, even though we were having our own guy do the installation. When we needed extra flooring, they sold it to us at the same price that we had bought the bulk of the flooring. When we needed to return some unopened boxes, they allowed it. We will never go to another flooring place, because we have no need, and Floor Traders has our respect and loyalty!! I highly, highly recommend! read more

Years ago, I needed scrap carpeting and I picked out a large piece and did not have a truck, and the nice man at the Floor Trader delivered it to my house on his own time and for free!! Very kind to help me. Nice people. I made a promise that l would do business with the Floor Trader when l was ready to replace carpet in living room. Fast forward, l just had carpet installed by Richard Morris. Richard showed up on time, very pleasant and friendly. I am very thrilled with my new carpet. Although the timing may be bad in this pandemic right now, I am thrilled with my carpet. LOL. I like the vast amount of experience & knowledge they have on flooring. I dealt with Warren, an older gentleman who was patient with me as I picked his brain for information. I was giddy as I'd gone to both Lowe's & Home Depot (where I either couldn't find anyone to help me or had to talk with a 17 year old who knew even less than my Google search results had shown). Great knowledge, solid selection. Excellent all the way around. The only hiccup is their floor installation subcontractor. You'll spend forever waiting for their installer (Rich?) to contact you back. He's knowledgeable but a little expensive. I think they need more than one installer so customers have a few more options should the project timing be sensitive. read more
