This is such a cute shop for all of you gifts and flower needs and a great stop when walking around Tosa. The staff is so friendly and will help you find anything you need. There is an abundance of plants, holiday ornaments, holiday gifts, and cute trinkets and puzzles throughout. We walked around the shop looking for some cute gifts for friends and family this upcoming holiday season, but everything was so pricey. I am all for supporting small business, but I find it had when the same gift (brand and quality) are being sold at a bigger name store for less. This is one of my favorite shops! Whenever I need a small gift for someone (or myself), I like to check here first. The options span from jewelry to decor to socks to garden/plant items to cards and so much more. While some items are a bit pricey for me, this is subjective to the shopper--either way, just browsing is enjoyable. The space is packed so the walkways might be tight to maneuver. It is bright and it always smells so good in there! The workers have always been kind and am always excited to use ot gift anything I buy. There are parking spots in front of the shop but--as it is in the Tosa village--parking might be tricky depending what time of day you come. read more

Flower lady Tosa is one of my favorites to stop by when I am in the Tosa village. It is a one stop shop for all your flower, plant and gardening needs. The staff is super friendly and helps you navigate what you are looking for. From gardening tools, to water cans to plants that you can't kill (yup they have very hearty plants ), you cab find it all and much more here. The puzzles sold here are very eclectic and such beautiful pieces of art once you have put it all together. They put the flower wall up out during the weekends and its so fun to see dogs and humans alike posing in front of their wall. Go for the plants, stay for their ambience and warmth! read more

ALL SALES ARE FINAL! Found this out the hard way. Purchased a faux hanging plant and upon bringing it home, realized it was not the right piece. Many of the fake fronds were becoming detached from the base. Wanted to bring it back for an exchange and was shown a very small hand written sign that said all sales are final. Disappointed, I want to see if could find another item. The salesperson went to get manager and I was basically admonished for the wrapping that she had put on the plant. Really an awkward encounter and even though she offer she to give me the money back and keep the item, it just felt really off. That was not End of the story I kept the item, but not sure how I feel about hanging it in my house. Pandemic stress getting to me I suppose...got the item home again a few days later and hung it in a new spot - big improvement! read more

Super cute, eccentric and jammed store. Prices were a bit steep but, browsing and gathering inspo was free! Worth a quick stop if you are nearby and in the market for an offbeat, quirky gift for a friend or loved one. The vintage inspired jewelry collection towards the front of the store (by the checkout space) is worth a look. Incredible pieces for all occasions. The greeting cards also are worth a once over. I would love to visit again when there was more flower and plant action going on in the store. We stopped in during a period where they were transitioning décor towards more winter/holiday themes. Also, it would be great to see more photos of their flower work in action like in a wedding "lookbook" (which might be available, upon request). read more

I called the The Flower Lady about 3 hours before my aunt's 80th birthday party started. I found out I had Covid and was unable to attend. At first, they were unsure they could make a delivery by 4pm work as they close at 5pm on Saturdays. I talked to I believe the owner and explained my situation. She passed the phone to Gwen at which point I knew they were going to make it happen if they could. The flowers were amazing. Here's a photo of the bouquet. I will call them whenever I have a need. I could tell from our first meeting that he saw my vision for my wedding flowers, and didn't bat an eye when I told him I only wanted a centerpiece and my wedding party flowers. We had Legos in the boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen and they turned out great! One of the things I was most excited for on our wedding day was to finally see our flowers. The workers here are so rude and racist. I, an Asian customer, walked in this store up to the front desk to ask a question. The bald man who was working at the front didn't look up at me, even though he knew I was standing there, and waited about a minute to address me. When he finally saw me I asked him and another worker a question they both looked at me and looked at me and talked to me like I was stupid. Before I walked up to the front desk, the bald white man and the other white worker and white customer were talking regularly. The bland man was purposely mumbling so I couldn't hear him and to avoid talking to me. I will never step foot in this flower shop ever again and I'd advise the same to future customers. My wife and I live in California now, but my mom, a Milwaukee native, still lives alone in the Beer Capitol Of The World and we've been using The Flower Lady for several years when sending birthday, Mother's Day or Valentine's Day bouquets. She's always been delighted with them, but we hit the jackpot on her 97th birthday last week. We wanted something that would last a little bit and the good folks at TFL suggested a basket full of various bulbs that they said had been flying off the shelves. We agreed, but when my mom called us to tell us it had arrived she sounded a bit... concerned. She said, "Well, it's a nice basket, but it's nothing but shoots." But within a day or so she was getting bulb after bulb, and each day since has been like a nature documentary, with a new arrival or two when she wakes up. She has respiratory issues and with the world we're currently living in, she's staying even closer to home than usual, and the show that basket is putting on is brightening every day. This has only cemented our relationship with The Flower Lady. If you're looking for an artful, thoughtful florist, I don't see how you could do better! read more

I was recently in the shop with a young relative who was in an agitated state. We had just met up, and I was to later learn her medication issues would send her to the hospital the next day. While in the store, the relative and I were looking at a very expensive item, and suddenly, a clerk (or owner?) with dark hair and glasses swooped down and put the item in the girl's arms. I said immediately and very distinctly, "We were not planning on buying this." The young girl felt pressured to buy the item and did not want to make a scene. It was apparent that the young girl was having some type of episode, so I was really stunned that a sales person would take advantage in this fashion--just to make a buck. It was disgusting to me. I will let others know about this incident and the unfriendly approach to service demonstrated. If you look at the store's policies and website, you will not be surprised to find the same attitude reflected there: there is no place to complain and "all sales are final." read more

I trusted her 100% to deliver exactly what I wanted, and she was so easy to work with and very accommodating when it came to delivering and arranging the flowers. Experience was spoiled when the young lady helping me pick out flowers for my wife's birthday was interrupted by the manager/owner interrupting us to chastise me for "touching all the flowers"! Which the young lady helping me had asked me to do....I would have purchased easily twice as many flowers, but with that attitude I had no interest. This place is holy-hell expensive. The photo is of a $80 floral set. I can order this from other local florist for $40-55. I will not return. I can not believe people actually pay to be cheated. I ordered funeral flowers from my home in Ohio, to be delivered there locally in Wauwatosa, WI. I spoke with a kind gentleman and he guided me through a couple of different options, but unfortunately had no picture on their website of the European Garden that he recommended. However, he assured me it would be a good sized, beautiful flowering plant. I asked if $100 would be enough for this and he said "oh yes". The total came to $125 with $18.00 for a local delivery charge. I thought that was high for delivering it, but not living in that state and knowing the area, I went with it. After I arrived at the Wake, I looked around for my arrangement. I figured it would be one of the nicer ones. The funeral director located it for me and my mouth dropped! It was probably the smallest arrangement there, in a basket vs. a nice planter, which I was not told about when I ordered, and there were very few tiny flowers, nothing showy or special. It was very disappointing. Not worth what I paid for it! I think I could've purchased the same thing already made up in a grocery store. It makes me wonder if they thought I would not be attending the funeral so they could get away with this, or perhaps they just don't do many funeral flowers arrangements. read more

Not a great experience. I was looking to buy a plant for coworker after her father's death. Greeted by a young lady (maybe highschool age) who was really nice and as helpful as possible. I was looking for a plant that is okay around dogs & cats. I thought an upscale florist would have some knowledge or recommendations. The young lady wasn't sure which plants were safe so she went to ask her co-worker in the back. A middle aged women came out and her reply was, "I can't give you recommendations for pet-safe plants due to liability reasons." Seriously?! So instead, I sat there googling different plant names and found one that, per google was okay. Fine. Went to purchase said plant and asked the same middle aged lady how she would recommend caring for the plant. Again, you would think an upscale FLORIST would be helpful with this information. But, sadly no. The response I got was "honestly I have no idea, we haven't had that kind of plant in the store for years" She didn't even look interested in looking up the information. Ugh. Never going back & do not recommend. Go instead to Metcalfe for your floral needs, they are nice, welcoming, and will go the extra step for you- like looking up something they are unsure of. read more

Deb did my flowers for my wedding on July 31st and they were amazing! The colors she put together were perfect and brought so much elegance to the event. The white hydrangea were so big. At least the size of a large grapefruit! Absolutely stunning! The other table centerpieces were bright and lovely. And the bouquets and boutonnieres tied everything together. The best thing about the flowers, is they lasted almost 2 weeks after the wedding. I had them all over my house and was overjoyed with memories every time I saw them.
