I ordered a sympathy arrangement late Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised to receive a confirmation email early Sunday--less than 12 hours later and on a day they're normally closed. The arrangement was delivered right on time Monday, less than one business day later, and arrived in perfect condition despite Milwaukee's chaotic February weather. The flowers themselves were gorgeous--intentional, comforting, and clearly made with heart. I couldn't be there in person, but this made me feel like I could still offer some solace in the moment. My family and I have ordered flowers throughout the years at this place, but it's been a while and I thought they still had a good reputation. Their online catalog looks very inviting but buyer beware items appear larger than actual size! Ordered the "deluxe" but when I saw the picture compared to the price and next to the balloon, I was quite disappointed. I've spent the same amount at Sendik's floral department and it was nearly TRIPLE the size with all unique and quality colorful assortment of flowers. The final straw was that it was delivered on the WRONG day! The date was very important as it's a global date of sensitivity so that just ruined it even more. read more

I recently used Welke's for a Milwaukee ftd order & despite my making clear the desired delivery date & my email address with the customer service rep, the flowers didn't make it to the recipient on the day requested, and I never received an email confirming I even placed an order. I called Welke's & spoke to Nikki who was very apologetic & helpful. She found my order request and corrected my email address. She also graciously offered me the option to cancel the order with full reimbursement, or since the flowers were already on the delivery truck, make the delivery & reimburse me for delivery costs. Not long after my call to Welke's, the recipient called to let me know the flowers had arrived (tho one day late) and informed me the flowers were beautiful and very fresh and she fully expects to enjoy them for at least 2 weeks. The only reason I'm not giving Welke's 5 stars is because of the delivery date mix-up, which, for certain occasions would be totally unacceptable. But for flower freshness, Welke's gets 5 stars for sure. read more

Flowers are beautiful, service is horrible! My Mother's Day flowers were delivered to another family member at different address. Driver came back, picked them up to redeliver. They called to say my flowers were on my front porch. Nope! They delivered to a home near mine. Driver picked them up and brought them to me. These flowers had been delivered to 2 wrong homes and sat out in the rain for an hours Welkes called my number thinking they were talking to the driver. They said some rude things about me thinking I was their driver! In the end they delivered a new arrangement and did not charge us but it was too little too late. I purchased flowers from Welkes for many years when my kids were in high school, I always loved the quality and quantity of their floral arrangements. Looking for a quick but important flower delivery for Mother's day I immendiately thought of Welkes, I ordered $120.00 "Captivating Color" from them. Delievery was prompt and internet ordering was fine. When I saw the roses the day after they arrived I was embarrrassed. Two lavender roses looked very nice, the red roses were OK and the bi color roses looked almost dead, I don't believe there were even a dozen roses in the mostly green bouquet, but then it never said how many roses were in the bouquet, I just expected better quality and quantity for over $100. I expected so much more. I ordered flowers delievered in Germany for less money and got over 40 roses in the bouquet. The flowers I got from the supermarket looked better after my cats dumped them over twice, than these did the day after they were delivered. I was so disappointed. read more
