Tried to call but went straight to voicemail. Finally got in touch with someone yesterday (2/15). She said they were "on the truck." but still no delivery. Customer service was terrible. The Flower Place totally disappointing. Ordered Flowers Saturday for a funeral Today (Tuesday) from Salisbury Maryland to this place to be delivered. Once arriving at the funeral the first thing I notice was how limp the center was. Almost as if they were dying!! I wanted a colorful bouquet for a friend in Wilmington DE and tried to find a local florist. Each search led to a company who act as a middleman. One pretended to be a local florist. I found out when I went to pay and saw an additional $18.00 handling fee. I called and was told that it was to assure that the flowers would be fresh and delivered intact. I realized this provider was not in Delaware. I did ask how much he would charge to for old flowers delivered bashed up. He didn't know. I found the Flower Place and called. Excellent customer service, the price was competitive and they provided a larger bouquet. My friend was extremely impressed by the arrangement. I have passed on our experience to other friends in Delaware. These are people who own their florist and deserve our business. read more

The staff was kind caring and worked to meet what our expectation was for memorial flowers. There was a bit of a time crunch but the flowers arrived on time and they even coordinated delivery with funeral home which saved us a call. We did think that it was going to be larger in size, but the result was still really beautiful. The have free delivery as well. read more

So my business has been going here for years, since the new ownership has taken over we have been disappointed in the service. First we were charged for something that we never were charged with before without notice, second I went to pick-up an item and the doors were locked but it was an hour before closing, now the latest thing is they say they open at 9am...I'm at the door to pick up and they are not open. What is going on? The flowers we get are beautiful, I just wish the service matches the flowers and or other items we come in for. I completely understand new policies and changing of the owners but please let us know if these changes. I hope the new ownership gets this under control before they start losing customers. read more

I ordered 2 holiday arrangements and used a Telaflora coupon code for them. When the transaction was processed, the discount was applied. However, when I checked my bank account statement I discovered that I was charged incorrectly and the discount wasn't applied. A call to the Flower Place didn't help. I'm still waiting for a return call. In addition, even though I paid for a "premium" arrangement, I saw the flowers and they were definitely not better than the "standard" arrangement. My future flower needs will be met elsewhere. read more

Horrible selection, refused to negotiate, clearly interested in selling me from a book when I was pretty clear I'm making an immediate purchase. Then added it was a $5 fee to ship to NJ. Did like what she showed me in the book but was too pricey. Went to Christiana Floral and Gift Shop and made a pleasing purchase. Moral of the story, you have to strike when the iron is hot or you're losing $. The Flower Place didn't get it. read more

Yesterday was my daughter Prom. Her flowers were so ugly that she didn't even want to wear them. I asked for other white flowers besides roses when I order the flowers original , well the only flower was roses. I asked the woman at the counter and wear our the other flowers. She said I don't know what happened. She brushed it off like it was no big deal. She did ask if I was ok! What choice did I have since all her florist designer were no longer working. Who would have fixed it....at that point ??? They used fake green leaves with fresh flowers not cute look at all. I would advise to see a sample of their work before ordering anything from them. read more

I have used this florist many times. They are thorough, and timely. I've had orders placed through them on the teleflora network where the remote florist could not deliver. Rather than let the baton drop, they jumped on the issue and called me early enough to react and fix the issue. Additionally, they have happily handled out of area deliveries for me. read more
