After my other half and I stayed at QT in Surfers Paradise where we conveniently forgot we could have enjoyed breakfast in their onsite cafe, we had ourselves wandering around Surfers Paradise proper for a cafe that would provide a delicious breakfast without the tourist price tag or feel. Thankfully for us, the new Hilton had just opened and bringing with it the darling Food Store cafe. If the fit out doesn't lure you in from the street, let their simple but tasty cafe menu sway you into their doors. Their fresh juices are sublime. We ordered a beetroot, apple, carrot and mint juice which, was not only the most stunning vibrant red in colour, but tasted equally good as well!
As Rachel R pointed out, even on this Sunday morning when you'd expect a cafe this good to be incredibly busy and full of guests of the hotel, it wasn't even half full and service was polite and swift. They'd only just opened when I last visited and I hope they've gone from strength to strength since then. For my next Surfers Paradise visit, I'll be stopping here without question.
