Not 4 stars for The Fours~ When you think of The Fours you think sports bar, cold beer, pub food, and loud Tvs playing all the popular New England sports. The Fours was good once, but not this time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. It was not crowded at all which we liked. Our bartender Brian did not seem to be happy at all when he greeted us, but that was ok. Sometimes even servers have bad days and we just let it go. After ordering drinks we shared their Buffalo Fingers appetizer. I always loved this appetizer. It was still good but felt the chicken was a bit on the chewy side. Then, for entrees, I always get their Chopped Salad with Salmon on it. Their Chopped salad always tastes so good and with a big portion I usually bring the rest home. First off, the Salmon was overcooked and dry and I was so upset since I was craving a good piece of Salmon. The salad was still decent. My husband had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and this was excellent. His order always comes out perfect LOL! The good thing is when I told Brian about my fish he felt bad and compted the whole salad which was very nice of him. I will say I do like sitting on their patio when the warmer weather is here with a glass of wine, an app and people watch. I recently visited The Four's on 5/13/2026 and ordered the scallops and shrimp scampi. Unfortunately, when my meal came out, the seafood was undercooked. After cutting into both the shrimp and scallops, it was clear they were not fully cooked, which was very disappointing and concerning. I informed the waitress about the issue, and instead of taking the full plate back to the kitchen, she only brought out replacement shrimp and scallops while leaving the original pasta plate at the table. I felt this was very unprofessional and not the proper way to handle a food safety concern. I understand mistakes can happen in restaurants, but I expected the entire dish to be remade and handled with more care. Hopefully management can improve how situations like this are addressed in the future read more

I love the fours, been going there for years, but recently they have changed a few of the recipes specifically the fries, and they make me nauseous now. I cant imagine little kids liking the new recipe either because they are so strongly seasoned. The old ones were perfect, but now I feel I won't be back at the fours for a while. We visited The Fours in Quincy, Massachusetts on the first Monday Night Football of the season, just before the game kicked off. The atmosphere was impressive, with sports memorabilia covering the walls and giving it that classic sports bar energy. The absolute highlight of our visit was the clam chowder. My wife and I have tried at least ten different chowders in the past year, and this one was by far the best. It was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of chunkiness. Unlike some watery versions we've had at highly rated restaurants, this bowl had depth and balance. I found myself eating it faster than I realized, just trying to capture every bit of flavor. It was so good, it could start a fight in a marriage if one spouse doesn't tell the other about it sooner. We also ordered buffalo chicken rangoons, which were surprisingly excellent--crispy, flavorful, and unique. The nachos were cheesy and enjoyable (we asked for no chili, and they still came out great). Both salads we ordered were much larger than expected. The house salad was almost too big for my wife, and even the Caesar salad was more than I could finish, but both were fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly, and our table was comfortable even with a large party seated next to us. They added to the lively atmosphere without being disruptive, which is exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar. Overall, this place was a win. Ordered the cod and couldn't eat my meal. Wish I'd taken a picture, the baked potato was good, the mixed veggies were fresh, but the cod was gross, limiting my appetite. The first time I came in felt air of judgment. But I decided to get a meal anyways. And the steak and salad was great. But 7 month after I returned, I had bandages on my hands from just donating white bloods cells. The manager on duty told me I must leave before I even sat down. He made up some b.s about me being too friendly and there were complains me 7 month ago. In reality I was judged on my appearance. I did not fit it. The humiliation alone and the pain this experienced caused me is my lone reason for leaving a 1 star review. It was a traumatic experience and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. I had my son's shower there Sunday ..Not only did they have some type of electrical issue that made the entire downstairs venue smell like something was burning to the point a guest had to leave with her child but they also kept all the leftover food and would not allow us to take any with us. Not for nothing we had a lot of leftover food that people could've taken home instead they had to keep it and what they did with it I don't know. Somebody probably ate it on Sunday when they came in and didn't realize it as these items were on the menu. And for all our troubles, we were given a 10% discount and that's after I had to speak to the manager. And some of you people that are talking about the food.. that it did not taste fresh ..you're probably eating the food from the shower that we had this weekend .. would not recommend this place !Especially for a private event. read more

We went to the Fours Alford a Going Away Party for our Band pastor and his family. The food was good and I'm a server at church and I'm raising my granddaughter. She was sick on the night of the party, so she couldn't attend. I asked if i could make her a small plate so she could have something to eat when I got home. They said No we don't give anything to go on event dinners. I was put off by this because I just wanted a little something to bring her home to eat. For a group of 17, I thought the service was great though that could be because it was a slow Tuesday night. The menu is quite extensive which makes it a good choice for large groups with different tastes. I got the steak tips but they were cooked well-done so a bit dry and tough. I can't remember if I was asked how I liked my steak but make sure you tell them if they don't ask. The veggies and mash that came as sides were okay. I did like their buffalo chicken dip and pretzels. The portions are big for the price you pay. Also lots of outdoor seating and a huge garage next door that makes parking easy. It's not bad for what it is but for the price you could definitely get much better in the immediate vicinity! The food was a little bland and took a very long time to come out. The buff chic tenders were ok but not enough heat. The steak and cheese were terrible. Chunks of fat and egg roll covering tough and rubbery. The potato skins were good. Entrees were the Bobby Orr steak and cheese, Shrimp and scallop Dianne and Chic Caesar wrap. I'm told the wrap was very good. The Bobby Orr on the small side and tips were chewy. My shrimp and Scallop plate was surprisingly good . Nice pasta dish with a tasty white sauce loaded with mushrooms and cheese. Scallops delish but shrimp were just ok. Overall it's pub food and it's not bad but also not noteworthy enough to rush back. I will say our waiter was fabulous. A tall guy that was very attentive . This place is always solid. We have been here in small groups and in large groups and have always had good luck. Food is consistently good, and they have sandwiches, entrees, fish, pasta and buffalo chicken nachos. We went here during covid, with a baby and wanted to sit outside. It started raining and even though they were super full inside, they managed to accommodate us inside without much fuss. Apparently, their food has been named "stuff of champions", based on my experience, this is more in the names than the quality, which was alright, at best. Ordered a Bobby Orr, only with salad instead of fries ("surprise me" for the dressing). For something that is supposed to be the house special and "The greatest ever!", this meal left me feeling rather disappointed. The sandwich was on the dry side with only meat and cheese, and no onions or veggies (other than the pickle). While there was a fair quantity of meat, it was cooked to more of a medium-well, and I wouldn't call it tough, but neither would I call it tender. It was also little under-seasoned for my taste. A little BBQ sauce would have gone a very long way. The side salad (instead of fries) was lackluster. The veggies felt like they have had better days. They weren't wilted, but they lacked that freshness and crispness you find in fresh produce. Baked beans were good, I only wish there was a little more of them. I got the Doug Flutie and they put the tomato on the bottom which made the fresh bread bottom soggy and put the sauce on the top which soaked into the fresh bread and made the top soggy as well. We had Buffalo chicken Rangoons which were bomb. We also had pretzel bites which was supposed to come with a Dijon cheese sauce but it was cold and tasted more like honey mustard.
