True Score: 3.5 Stars Comfortable Just had a quick drink with friends who go there all the time. So funny, they really do know everybody's names! Clearly a locals place: friendly service, nice atmosphere. The bar area decor is pretty basic/simple. Parking a bit tight and fills up fast. We grabbed a "bah" pie and some beers. Beer was good, prices were nice, and the staff were pleasant. The pizza was decent, just extremely greasy. Good drunk food. Thanks

    Chicken Sandwich (crispy, Buffalo style)

When it comes to a neighborhood bar to grab a beer and watch the game, Coop's may work well. It has a divey neighborhood bar vibe and friendly service. However, at least as far as the chicken sandwich is concerned, the food was a terrific miss. I am a food guy - 9/10 times (or more) when I go out I will order something to eat. Therefore, I say if you're going to have food on the menu, do it at least halfway right. I will say the bread was done well, and I wouldn't not be surprised if it's baked in house or purchased fresh from a local baker. Yet, while it can be argued that bread makes up ~50% of the sandwich by volume, this does not count as halfway right. Nice effort, and thanks for the laugh. The problem lies in the chicken. Even though I had ordered it crispy instead of grilled, I think this was interpreted only as fried, not breaded. Not only do I believe it is hard to keep moisture in an unbreaded tender, but these were severely overcooked, dry, and tough. The Buffalo sauce also didn't quite do it for me. While I understand I have high heat tolerance, I also didn't pick up on that whiff of Buffalo when a fresh piece of Buffalo chicken is brought out of the kitchen. Taste-wise it was extremely mild, lacking and acidity; it did however have some sweetness. The execution was also not great. While Dave's can pull off a tender in a sandwich and not have everything fall apart, Coop's is not so fortunate. As there were two tenders (and therefore a valley) inside, it was near impossible to keep the veggies contained. I somewhat understand the thinking behind having them (veggies) be requested as opposed to included by default, at the same time this option seems to have been added as an afterthought. Finally, the fries are A-OK, they seemed fresh, were crisp, and I don't recall specifics on seasoning, I can tell you they were not over-seasoned, nor was I reaching for the salt. So, while if I want to catch a game that isn't available via my antenna, I can see myself here with a beer. Yet, when it comes to food, I think I will be passing.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Ugh not what I remember at all! I came here for the first time in years, expecting the same great food I had before. Maybe my memory is deceiving me but I was unexpectedly disappointed... My husband and I ordered the "drunken meatballs" to start. The sauce on the meatballs was the star of the night. It was a nice mix of sweet & savory with a hint of chili pepper flavor. The meatballs were small and uniform, which makes me think they were frozen and came out of a package. I understand this is not a gourmet Italian restaurant but if I'm paying for a meal, I expect more effort put in. Then I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard. The sandwich was 2 chicken tenders thrown in between a bun. Not even a chicken patty. This made it difficult/unpleasant to eat. I gave up after a few bites. The honey mustard was literally honey mixed with French's yellow mustard - omg just no, no, no. I've never experienced anything like this. Just say you don't have it available instead of trying to make a horrible, last minute version. I know times are tough right now for restaurants but this was just an unacceptable meal. Can't say I recommend, unfortunately.

Chose the Philly Cheese Steak and got the arugula salad which was fairly large for a side. Sandwich was also good-sized and I only could eat half but the other half made for a nice lunch the next day. Others were happy with their meals, I honestly forget what everyone ordered. The draft beers and other drinks came quickly and waitress was good about keeping our glasses full. Very responsive. Was sort of loud place is my only complaint. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant or on-street.

Bay Pointe removes both claws from the lobster which I appreciate and puts the whole claw meat under the stuffing mix. On this particular day only 1 claw was found. When I inquired about the missing claw I was told it was cut up in the stuffing mix. First of all, I have been to this restaurant many times ordering this same dish. So, tell me why 1 claw meat would be cut up and not the other one. Once the explanation was given it was utterly bull. I've never had the claw meat cut up and mixed in with the stuffing and as far as I'm concerned it should never be an option to do that. If so, I probably would not order this dish anymore. I want to see my claws in it's entirety and not cut up. Bottom line lobsters have 2 claws not 1. Both should have been in the dish and basically it wasn't. This will not deter me from coming to this establishment, but please think about your response before providing an answer that doesn't make any sense. After putting our names on the waitlist for an outdoor table, we hoped to wait near the outdoor bar in case seats opened up. We were told by the veteran short brown-haired bartender to move elsewhere, which we did. Later, when I returned to close our tab, I noticed several other guests standing in the exact same area where we had been told we could not wait. What bothered us most was not the wait, but the inconsistent treatment and dismissive attitude we encountered. When I mentioned the situation to the hostess as we were leaving, she immediately seemed to know which bartender I was referring to and apologized for our experience. We understand busy restaurants have policies to manage crowds, but after years of enjoying Bay Point, this interaction left us feeling unwelcome. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return.

The outdoor area is inviting, and inside there's a great mix of low-top tables, high-tops, bar seating, and cozy spots to settle into. Everything feels thoughtfully spread out, and I loved being able to see the open brick oven and activity in the kitchen. The space also has a bit of a bakery/café vibe, making it feel like a place where you could stop in for a quick grab-and-go item or stay awhile for a full meal. The staff made a great impression too. The people at the front were incredibly helpful to my guest, who was having some trouble with their phone. I also ordered one of the specialty drinks but asked for it without alcohol. The bartender absolutely nailed it--it was so good that my only complaint was that it didn't come in a bigger glass. For food, I had the grass-fed burger and fries (see photo), and it exceeded my expectations. The burger was so juicy and flavorful that I ended up cutting it into pieces just to make it manageable. Every bite was delicious. What I appreciate most is that I left feeling like I hadn't even experienced everything the restaurant has to offer. I already want to go back, choose a different seat, and enjoy a completely different perspective of the space. Honestly, it feels like the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon. Not 4 stars for The Fours~…read more When you think of The Fours you think sports bar, cold beer, pub food, and loud Tvs playing all the popular New England sports. The Fours was good once, but not this time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. It was not crowded at all which we liked. Our bartender Brian did not seem to be happy at all when he greeted us, but that was ok. Sometimes even servers have bad days and we just let it go. After ordering drinks we shared their Buffalo Fingers appetizer. I always loved this appetizer. It was still good but felt the chicken was a bit on the chewy side. Then, for entrees, I always get their Chopped Salad with Salmon on it. Their Chopped salad always tastes so good and with a big portion I usually bring the rest home. First off, the Salmon was overcooked and dry and I was so upset since I was craving a good piece of Salmon. The salad was still decent. My husband had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and this was excellent. His order always comes out perfect LOL! The good thing is when I told Brian about my fish he felt bad and compted the whole salad which was very nice of him. I will say I do like sitting on their patio when the warmer weather is here with a glass of wine, an app and people watch. Not sure if the food has gone down but I will say this place usually had better food and service than our last experience! Cheers~
