Love their brunch - my poached egg on the avocado toast wasn't super runny but my husband's were. Also, I ordered a side of bacon - but unless you love salt, I would avoid because it is cured that way, so I felt like I bit into a salt lick Bloody Mary's are tasty, but spicy so be warned!

Pizza was delicious, drinks were delicious, and service was great. The atmosphere was cozy and clean. What else can you ask for!

I tried this place while visiting a friend in Boston because the menu looked really good, and it did not disappoint. To start, we got the French toast bites, and this is exactly how appetizers should be: more than enough to share! The strawberry compote and fresh berries that came with it made this starter shine. For a drink, I got the S'more of something boozy iced coffee and I just love the creativity with all the names on the menu. They already have one called "Berry Demure!" Iykyk. The drink itself was very good too, but the brunch burger that I got was even better. For a burger with so many elements, it really delivered. From the glistening toasted bun, to the ooey gooey egg, to the bacon and beef smash patty and special sauce, this burger was a delight to have and perfectly made. Overall, everything I got was awesome, and with all the TVs around, it seems like the perfect place to grab a bite and watch a game or two.

Liberty Tavern is the perfect spot for a burger and beer and much, much more! Quincy has come along way in updating their food scene. With so many restaurants in downtown Quincy that are excellent, you want to tell everyone about them. Take Liberty Tavern as an example and the purpose of this review. This used to be another restaurant back in the day (actually several) until now. This is the perfect place to watch a game, meet with friends, and have a burger and beer. They also have a phenomenal brunch menu and offer lunch every day. They also renovated the inside and it looks spectacular. We came here on July 4th and had a lovely time and a fantastic server. We both had beer and I ordered their Liberty Burger w/ fries which melted in my mouth and was so flavorful. I very rarely order burgers but so glad that I did here because it did not disappoint. My hubby had their Fenway Franks which were also excellent. We also shared their popcorn chicken which came with 2 dipping sauces: BBQ and Buffalo. We ended up bringing home leftovers because we were way too full to eat everything. So glad that we have this restaurant in town because they are serving up (pun intended) some delicious food. A must visit for sure!

I was visiting a friend in Boston, MA and I flew in on a Friday evening in search of some dinner. We opted for to go from Liberty Tavern. We ordered online and we were able to pick up within 20 minutes! One of us ordered a chicken sandwich and the 2 others ordered pizza and just wow. These pizzas are kind of like personal pizzas but depending on appetite could definitely be split or for one person! I got the pizza with sausage and peppers and it was stunning. Thin and crispy and tons of toppings. Just absolutely perfect!! I'm sure even in person this is better but to go it was phenomenal. 10/10

Stopped here for brunch. Haven't been since it was the wood coal pizza place. I like what the renovation! Nice and modern looking. The staff was super friendly. From the welcoming crew at the host station to the waitress to the owner who came by to shoot the breeze and check in on things for a few minutes. Chicken and waffles were great as was the Cinnamon roll. Definitely recommend!

Was in the area and stopped by with some friends. It was late on a Friday night, and there were people in the restaurant, but we were able to be seated immediately. The atmosphere was on the darker side but cute. Our waitress was friendly. Overall, the food was okay. The seasoning was on the stronger side for my personal taste. For example, I thought that the Brussel sprouts were a little heavy on the salt. We ordered the veggie pizza and the lemon flavor was strong for my taste

Can't tell you about the nightlife but brunch is a must do. I won't say that the choices are unlimited but what they offer is delicious! Oh and the Bloody Maria wasn't too shabby either! If you find yourself in Quincy Center looking for a brunch spot. This is THE PLACE

Great beer selection, tasty wings, excellent pizza. Just wanted to note that the music at night was way too loud for conversation.

Ask the Community - Liberty Tavern

    Are there gluten-free options?

I really doubt it bc this place is an absolute frikkin dump that needs to be closed on public health code violations

    How are the portions?

Standard size portions where an entree is enough for an average person.

We wanted to be somewhere by 8am, so that worked for us. 2) They have a parking lot, just past the intersection, after the building on Water Street. Okay, this was more of a bonus for us, at least initially, but when I got there and saw the streets around them, I even more appreciated it. There's also an entry from the parking lot, but it isn't particularly clearly marked. I read about it on someone else's review, and got there first, so I had time to meander. But is the metal staircase closest to the sidewalk. There was a single waitress, which meant service wasn't the quickest. But she was nice and knew her regular by name. The booths had clear plastic (or glass... I didn't touch them to verify) dividers - perhaps due to the pandemic and social distancing, perhaps not, but I liked them and they seemed a part of the original booths, rather then an after thought. We split a sweet and a savory - double strawberry pancakes (3 pancakes with both berries cooked in, and strawberry compote, whipped cream on the side) $12.50, and Granite Street Benedict (with corned beef hash) $14.50. The sweet was surprisingly not too sweet, while the savory was a bit too salty. We weren't hurried along or anything. And they take both cash or credit.

Milkweed manages to stand out in a crowded scene by focusing on what matters most: incredibly fresh and flavorful food. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a level of seasoning that hits the mark every time. These are my favorites so far: -The Sweet Dutch Baby: A crowd-pleaser that manages to be both airy and indulgent. - Corned Beef Hash: Super fresh and flavorful. You get an entire roasted roma tomato. - Cheesy Spinach Omelette: Simple, fresh, and very cheesy. - The iced coffees and teas are well-crafted as well. - For those looking for a lighter start, they offer great "healthier" alternatives like smoothies and loaded fruit and yogurt bowls, making it an easy choice for groups with different dietary preferences. The Experience The atmosphere is very homey. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and doesn't have that diner stickiness. The service can be a bit of a rollercoaster. There are moments when it feels like you've faded into the background or been forgotten entirely. But the food is worth the wait. If you're looking for a quick "in-and-out" meal, this might not be the place. But if you value high-quality, delicious brunch offerings and don't mind a slower pace, Milkweed is a local gem that delivers where it counts.
