This weekend brought on the summer weather so when my family spotted the words "Freeze Bar", it was too tempting not to look. We confirmed large sno-cones were available and were guided to the extensive flavor list. Non-alcoholic (kids) and alcoholic versions available. We opted for kids versions, about $5-6 and they are huge! Twice as big as the cup. None of us could finish but we were satisfied ... but you better believe if I'd gotten the alcoholic version that I'd have tipped the cup up abs drank the rest. Did not know this place existed until it was recommended by a friend. So glad I discovered this gem. They opened at 5, which I must say we were waiting for them to open up as we were pretty excited to try it. The guy explained the menu and there are lots of options offered. Alcohol included, or not. I think there is something for everyone here. Who doesn't like icees?! Nice seating area and cool environment right in downtown Jeff. Could be a great spot coming from the walking bridge or just exploring the town on a summer day. Definitely recommend! Super friendly staff and tasty treats. This isn't your ordinary shaved ice place. I seen someone post about this place on Instagram and knew I had to try it. The first time that I went I tried the caramel apple with Ciroc apple. It was so good. You can get them without alcohol. The second time I went I ordered the bourbon peach cobbler. I added Crown Royal Peach. Never heard of this place until my friend told me about it & said she wanted to try it too. The person who made our drinks was VERY informative and told us what all came in our drinks when we asked him. $20 for 2 slushies seems a little expensive, especially since cream and/or sauce is an up-charge not mentioned beforehand. It is located in downtown Jeff. It is a really small but cozy spot. Nice place to stop by on a hot day. Who doesn't want alcohol snow cones on a hot day!!! They have several flavors to choose from. The drinks run about $7 and up depending on your choice of alcohol? Top shelf alcohol is more. I had a Dirty Diana. It was delicious however I requested my drink be made with bourbon instead of gin. But it was still made with gin. So make sure your order is correct before you start drinking. She gave me a $1.00 off for messing up the order, personally think it should have been free but I get it a small business and they have to make money to stay open. Very good non alcoholic slushy for a great walk downtown in Jeffersonville Indiana. All different types of flavors .

Just happen to stumble on this place on our way to walk the bridge. At 8pm it still felt like it was 90 degree outside, so we decided to ask everyone where they were getting these snow cones. This place is small and kinda hard to find, but what a gem. Very clean and I love the concept of virgin and alcohol snow cones. I paid $10 for the one with whiskey, and I believe the virgin ones were around $5.50. These are not really like the shaved iced snow cones which is what I prefer, but definitely worth trying. They also serve bacon cheeseburger, which I believe is the only food item they serve. Would be nice if they added a few more food items to the menu. read more

They have beer, liquor, snow cones, and *alcoholic snow cones*!! The novelty alone drew me in. I don't really care for sweet drinks, and yeah these are very very sweet. They have tons of flavors to choose from as well as combos (think crazy monkey, pink pammy, and other vague names) , and the girl working the counter had no clue what most of them were, but another worker helped her out when he was behind the bar. I had combo that consisted of mango, cherry, banana, and a cream sauce, plus rum. Like I said, it was super sweet. It was tasty though, and perfect on a hot day. They were around 6.50, not a horrible price, but I wouldn't order more than one. I will be back though, because they have different flavors that sound really interesting, like bourbon peach cobbler and caramel apple. Plus, this is a neat place to bring friends, and perfect after walking over on the Big Four. The atmosphere is perfect for hanging out- plenty of outdoor seating and chill music (reggae when I was there). All in all it's a unique spot, and a neat place to get a cool treat on a hot day. We stumbled on this new local establishment after a long hot walk on Big 4 Bridge. The shady outdoor seating area with new landscaping caught our attention while walking by and the sign announcing "Alcohol Shave Ice" sealed the deal. We were immediately welcomed by the owner and his bartender. They explained how there is something for everyone here - menu items such as pizza, coney dogs and sandwiches. They offer a wide array of shave ice flavors for the kiddies and something I've not seen before - an entire menu of decadent adult shave ice concoctions. Being a KY girl, I picked the Bourbon Peach Cobbler shave ice and it was a home run. Delicate fruit flavors infused with bourbon and completely light and refreshing. It hit the spot and we were pleased that it only set up back $6 bucks. The owner, staff and other patrons could not have been any friendlier. The space is clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back to try more shave ice creations and highly recommend! Do yourself a favor and stop by & show your support for our new local business owner. read more

My 1 star review is not actually for the product, which was okay and pretty much what I expected. The problem was the service and pricing. I was asked if I would like salt on the cup rim of my margarita flavored drink. I said, "sure" and was charged $1.50 for a bit of salt! Seriously! I have ordered many a drink at many types of places and never been charged for the salt on the rim of a margarita, that is just silly. The other thing is we waited an excruciatingly long time, standing room only, and were treated rather rudely, yet a massive gratuity was added to our bill for our very expensive drinks. Who are we tipping exactly if we are standing, having ordered at the bar, no seating available, waiting for an extraordinarily long time, that deserves a massive tip? Our bill was just under $30 for two mid sized drinks in plastic cups! Never again, too many other excellent choices in the area. As a local I truly hope that this business improves their policies and service, because it is such a fun idea, I walk by this place several times a week, and I like to see downtown businesses thrive.
