The parking here is pretty good. The workers here are OK. They don't have as much as a Shoprite, but they do have some items that I can get. Their stock is way smaller. They do have a hoagie counter where you can get a hoagie custom-made They are not bad at all. This location is owned by Brown's ShopRite so some of the sales are the same. If you want less of a challenge for parking less of a crowd and you need your Staples this is a good location to come to. read more

Wow! I have such mixed emotions about this Fresh Grocer! I have been here many times. It is a great place to pick up pre-made food for a fast dinner. They also have a nice bakery and meat section. I have been here times when the store was dirty. Floors needed sweeping and mopping. Long lines, making me feel like I'd never come in here again. Then, this week, I stopped in for a few things, and it was completely different. The shelves were stocked, floors were clean, short lines, a truly nice shopping experience. I said to myself, "This place must be under new management." I will have to come a few more times to up the rating because I don't know if I just caught them on a good day. Great little store nestle in the wyncote pa area, they have great prepare meals and they have my favorite soda that's hard to fine , I like the days cherry vanilla soda and the their Cajun seafood salad is so amazing!! I shop at Wyncote about 3x a month. Today there were only 2 lines for check out and the line was long so we decided to self check. it was a bad experience. The clerk had to assist a few times. we discovered more than half of my items were not priced correctly. he tried to help But in the end I had to go to customer service for the corrections. After I got home, I found 2 other items not correctly priced. It amounted to another $1.60. I wonder how many customers were incorrectly billed for their items. I really do not want to analyze my receipt every time I shop. This is not the first time this happened but this time it now amounts to over$6.00. I went yesterday (May 20, 2016) for the grand opening. I'm very happy to have a neighborhood grocery store that offers so much and is clean, bright and ergonomic. I thoroughly enjoyed the newly paved parking lot as it had been in disrepair when Pathmark was occupying the space. The entrance has been widened too. While this fresh grocer continues to offer its signature hot food section and well-known cold sandwiches (e.g. meat-packed hoagies) section, it has some added areas that I have not seen such as the dine-in/cafe-style area which I hope stays clean as it would be nice to grab lunch or dinner before getting some groceries. They also offer a beer section--an unusual sighting comparing adjacent markets, especially in PA. Things are a changing. This fresh grocer has something for anyone who enters and is fully stocked to meet your grocery needs. I signed up for a price plus card and purchased a few items which included trying their chicken salad which didn't disappoint. I plan on posting some pics and possible vid. Overall, I'm excited to get done my grocery shopping here, without dismissing my beloved ShopRite. read more

As others have stated I can only agree that if you can shop elsewhere you'd be better off. There is no such thing as customer service here. And the service that is offered is painfully slow. The deli counter will zap a good chunk of your time, the produce is grim and finding general stuff is a chore. My only reason for two stars is the location is convenient. I love this supermarket. The prepared foods are excellent. The staff is always very friendly and the selection is top notch. The chicken there is out of this world so you might have to wait a little while your order is being filled. However, it's well worth the wait. I keep trying to like & shop at "not so" fresh grocer in Wyncote. I brought this atrocity on 10/19/22 at 6pm because the hoagie dept is so drastically under staffed that the employees are forced to shut down the kiosk a few minutes (5 to be exact) before the 6pm closing time. That so inconvenient to both customers who just got off or are going to work. I am going to eat this horrible "TURKEY AND SWISS SUPER HOAGIE (LMAO). I hope I get sick......I'm going straight to the hospital by ambulance to get treated and documented so I can sue the heck out of "not so fresh fresh grocer". People need to boycott this overpriced market and give Acme or Giant (or any other real) super market your hard earned money. I've been to pretty much every single market imaginable (ranging from shop-rite, giant, to farmer's or dutch markets, to wegmans & whole foods, as well as costco, sam's club), and this place is quite nice. The first that is great about it is that the parking area is very wide and big, and have plenty of fcart returning areas. The second part is that it is clean! It is much, much cleaner than shop-rite in cheltenham. They stock pretty much everything you'd need in a grocery store; they do have a small section on organics / non-GMO (it's not as big as whole foods, but this market isn't trying to emulate that!). They also have a beer and wine section. The fresh meat section is pretty good, but the seafood is OK. The H-mart in elkins park has fresher fish, oysters & anything in the sea (likely due to higher turnover of produce). The one thing that brought this from a 5-star to a 4-star is the BBQ area... The workers (not all of course) are SLOW. And I mean, drag your feet while you walk 10 feet to pick up a full rack of ribs slow, and then talk to your co-worker for a minute or two, then get the sticker for the ribs, then give it to the customer. I've seen high school kids who work at other markets work 10x as hard. But seriously... management I really hope you see this review, as these workers are slowing down the process of moving food, and thus your bottom line. read more

I've been sleeping on this place. I moved to Mt Airy six years ago and have typically gone to our terrible Acme on Germantown Avenue. Likewise I have avoided this store because I assumed it would be crowded and filthy like the Walmart next door. I am happy that I was wrong! It was busy when I went but the crowd was adequately considerate. The store felt very clean to mean and I even saw an employee walking around sweeping the floor. I only picked up two things but I will definitely be back. I'm not sure why some of the other reviews have criticized the customer service. I was so happy to have a grocery store close to my work and I'm so disappointed that the staff hired is ruining the experience. Just went it there at 12pm.. lunch time... they had no soups, no salads, and 10% of the Chinese bar. Asked a lady that was working around the salad bar if soups are coming out anytime soon, she gave me a look as if I just personally offended her and her whole family, but managed to nod. I waited there for 20 minutes! While watching way too many employees chatting and moving slowly around the store. Finally when the soups came out they were COMPLETELY COLD!!! Are you serious? The market is really nice and super clean. There are several items to choose from including the purchase of wine and beer which is not common at other local markets in the area. Majority of the employees were super friendly. There were some employees who would just walk by you and not acknowledge your presence. You would think they would be more helping especially since it's a new store. I personally didn't need help, but one of the employees looked tired and over her job. She was putting back items from her cart(items customers didn't want). While she didn't seem too approachable ... I overheard a customer ask her to point her in the direction for a specific item and the employee was really nice about it. Overall all... Nice and clean store. One thing for certain I live right down the street from Fresh Grocer, Fresh Grocer is like my corner store so I go there all the time I love it, until I went into this new Hoagie line that they have next to the deli it took them to make a 2-foot and a regular size hoagie an hour, so the reason behind that was that they had a new hire and she did not know what she was doing, I think when you got hungry people coming to get food especially from a supermarket you should have people that know what they doing when they making your food just saying thank you for your service. read more

I stopped in at the new Fresh Grocer, here in Wyncote, because Brown's have the most beautiful stores in PA. Not to my surprise, the new store, which took place of a trashy Pathmark, is huge and has a huge selection of organic. There are nice wood floors in some places. The wide selection of food services: (fire grilled chicken, sushi, Chinese, hoagies, And even an option to buy beer) is also typical of the Brown's. I'm beyond amazed with what they have to offer and I hope other people will tell me what they think. read more

FYI- for any potential customers, be warned!! This is the review I wrote on their fb page as I was in their store earlier today: Absolutely THE worst customer experience ever!!! Currently in the store STILL, have been for over an hour! Came to pick up our company events hoagie trays and full sheet cake, which were ordered on Tuesday of this week! When we arrived to pick up they stared blankly and stated we cant find anything for you, they called the supposed deli manager and he comes over and states "yeah we got nothing for you." then proceeded to state "you probably ordered at Shoprite, not here". i told him to own up to their mistakes, rectify it and NEVER insult my intelligence again! He then said well nothing we can do for you at this time. An Assistant store manager Mouna came over found our cake that was ordered, which proves that we DID ORDER AT THE CORRECT STORE! She never apologized but did say that she will make them start our trays now but could not give us an ETA. As we were waiting the lady at the deli/alcohol counter asked who we placed the order with so we said a gentleman named Chris, her & another associate looked at each other with wide eyes, huffed and said well that explains what happened! I said why, who is Chris? at that time another "associate" with no uniform on said "wait hold up I'm Chris I know yall ain't talking about me" in a hostile, loud tone and approached us aggressively!! I had to tell him to get out of faces bc we weren't talking to him. Once again no one apologized & Mouna claimed they have no associates named Chris, I'm now baffled!!!Then we were told by the bakery that they dont see what's wrong with the cake, the words written were close enough to what was written on the paper!! I'm beyond aggravated & in disbelief!!! Now we are still here 2 hours later waiting for our trays!!! We do atleast one huge store event at my place of business atleast once every month or 2, as well as personally shop here and I will NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS HERE AGAIN!!! inconceivable the ignorance! the store has gone down hill fast and is now a hang out spot for associates and their friends, who they walk around with and talk to while working!! This time they appeared with the wrong order. I was trying to see if there would be a change after boycotting "Shop from Home" for a while, and it is not. I have been shopping in this Fresh Grocer since their opening in 2016. I was shopping the other one, but it started becoming sort of dirty floors, and not so nice people. After a while at this store, it has become my home store. No matter how long the aisles are with customers, I search for Cassandra. When she is there, I will stand in her line, no matter how long, or how packed the carts ahead of me are. She is the best. Nice, polite, and friendly, and patient. She acts like she's been knowing you for years. The most pleasant of all. The men workers are sharp, and pleasant to answer your questions when you cannot locate something. Love the Deli. Never got the name of the young lady or the brother with the net over his beard, but they are the best, Great store and love shopping there. You could not have hired better emplyees. Today, for the fifth or sixth time, my order is over one hour late. When I called to ask about my order, the reply was, "I just shopped your order. The driver is running late. I have nothing to do with it." Uh, yes you do. Please tell your manager that common courtesy demands a simple phonecall to let the paying customers know that an order is running late. I stopped here on way home from work. It's in a small complex near LA Fitness. It is clean and has almost everything you would need in a grocery store. I really like the sushi station. It was fresh and reasonably priced. There was a lot to pick from. I have always liked their selection of pre-prepared foods. Sometimes I will grab something here for lunch at work later. Overall it does the job. Like others have mentioned prices are a smidge higher than Acme or Shoprite but selections seem more varied here though. read more

It's your average Fresh Grocer- clean, wide aisles, etc. The staff is friendly, and I pretty much always find what I'm looking for.

They have a very good split fire grilled whole chicken in their hot food section. The lines are often long but it's worth the wait.

Pissed! Literally one door in and the same door out - for what??! Especially when you're not constantly sanitizing carts and checkouts like in non-Black neighborhoods! And listen, masks and gloves only cause more problems when the deli employees are constantly moving them out of the way to talk, touching their glasses, faces, etc. Do better!!! read more

When this place opened I went that first week and was so pleased. There were more green shirt staff people there than customers and the store was immaculate. Well for the last 5-6 months it's been going straight downhill, to the point where I will no longer shop there. Some who work there try very hard to be friendly and professional but those that don't far outweigh them. Sadly those who 'manage' the store and those who manage the self checkout are the biggest offenders. The cashiers are often the only bright spot if I don't count the man they allowed to walk among those of us checking out shaking people down for money. Cashiers were ignoring the harassment just acting like business as usual. Not one reached out to security- oh and I never see security so maybe that's why. First few months could never go without seeing managers walking the floor, employee uniforms were neat/clean and the store looking and smelling good. It is not that way anymore. Go on a Sunday at 4 for the pleasure of seeing employees who look like they literally rolled out of bed, to step over trash behind the self check mangers table and be basically ignored by anyone whose help you seek. Damn shame. They really had a good thing going but like most companies, that put business in predominantly POC neighborhoods, once the cameras go away so does the notion that we deserve standards to stay high. I tried 3 times, on three different days, to speak with a manger about conditions but not once was the phone answered. Unless someone tells me things have gotten better I'll never see the inside of this store again. Two stars for those employees there who are getting it right, they deserve better. read more

Great market and great selection of items. Very clean. Has an organic section bigger than most normal grocers (but smaller than whole foods). I usually do the self checkout line, and its really not the fault of the market or worker for it being slow... most of the time the customer just isnt familiar with how the system works. As others have said, the 'sticky ribs area' is awfully sticky slow. The workers in this section dont really understand that the reason we want to buy this is so we can save time. The food is good, but ive really stopped going here for that. read more

I purchased a chicken platter with Mac n cheese as one of my side's. Two hairs were baked into the Mac n cheese. I called and spoke with a manager. Her response was, "Sorry, next time you're in the store, I'll refund you for the Mac n cheese. She didn't sound shocked, nor did she have any empathy.
