I asked them about shutters and they immediately shut me down saying they were too expensive. When I contacted HWB, Bryan responded right away and came out. I was having a lot of work done at the house when he came but he was patient and took his time showing me options and making recommendations. When I asked about shutters he explained the pros and cons and had actual samples ao I could see how they would look on my windows. He took measurements of all the windows and advised me what would and would not work. Bryan was personable and knowledgeable. He was patient as we weighed our options and answered our emailed questions quickly. The prices were reasonable and he gave me hope when we found out many of our windows were now super shallow. I offered to compromise at the $5,892 price for the ClearView specs I wanted, but the proposed "solution" required changing the design features instead of honoring the originally discussed price. Due to these ongoing pricing discrepancies and misunderstandings about what was included, I decided not to proceed with the order. I asked the saleswoman to cancel the order and issue a refund on a Thursday. By Monday, I had received no response to my emails. I ultimately had to contact Home Depot directly to have them process the refund. Rockwood Shutters never responded to my cancellation and refund requests. Key issues: * Price increased twice after full payment, with new fees (ClearView hardware) not disclosed initially * Willingness to compromise at an intermediate price was met with design changes rather than price honor * Cancellation/refund request ignored for multiple business days * Refund only processed after escalating to Home Depot, not through Rockwood Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Rockwood Shutters. The lack of transparent pricing and failure to respond to a cancellation request created unnecessary stress and delay. Rockwood Shutters effectively ghosted me when I asked for a refund. The business had been paid in full, yet no one would speak with me once I requested my money back. The sales and installation of our screens was simple and reliable. And they work great. The reason this not a 5 is that there are a few gaps between the screen and the wall. One area running the entire height of the screen is especially bothersome. I was told that because it is up against an uneven brick surface they can't do anything about it . Not because it's UN fixable, but because they just don't do that. They suggested I get "some stuff" from the hardware store and fix it myself, saying that their caulk wouldn't work. I am going to have the remaining portion of my patio screened but now I think maybe I'll find someone else who can do the complete job.
