Loved staying here over the holiday break. The hosts were super helpful and cheerful too, the king sized bed contributed to one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a long time, and the breakfast was superb, they were happy to make my girlfriend and I anything on their breakfast menu. Got the banana pancakes and bacon, superb!! Also a lovely stream in the back near the lot and conveniently located to many areas of attraction in the poconos area. Would definitely come back another time to The Frogtown Inn!!

A very nice restaurant which is well needed in the area. We ate without a reservation on a Sun night. Great wine list, carefully chosen. We had the Brussels Sprouts Shareables. They were lightly crispy, well flavored and delicious. I has the Seafood Imperial, which was surprisingly good. The entire entree consisted of the baked seafood and vegetables. The baked seafood: crabmeat, shrimps and scallops were in a delicious butter cheese sauce. The masked potato and julienne squash with the entree were perfect. Very good restaurant!

AVOID THIS DISASTROUS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!…read more During our stay, we have not seen the owner, housekeeper, or anyone who works at the Inn at all, in any way, shape, or form whatsoever - including at checkin and checkout. In fact, they instituted a "contactless" check-in and check-out where a code is texted to your phone to access the room. We are unsure why anyone would choose to work in the hospitality industry if they are so keen on avoiding any contact with their guests. It made the experience feel cold, impersonal, and frankly eerie, as if we checked into a haunted house. Usually, the best part of staying in a bed and breakfast is the breakfast. Unfortunately, that was the worst part here. The hotel said that due to "light construction," they won't be serving any hot breakfast but would offer what they claimed would be a "continental breakfast." In reality, this consisted of Folgers Keurig K-cups, store-bought bagels in a plastic bag, defrosted boxes of Jimmy Dean sandwiches (which should be stored in a freezer but was stored in a fridge instead), and a few travel size cereal boxes. It is important to note that they didn't have any milk available for the cereal, nor did they have any regular sugar (only Splenda). These offerings are nowhere near adequate to be considered a continental breakfast. We wound up eating out at a local diner instead. Also, there were no signs of there being any construction, so the lack of hot or continental breakfast felt like more of an excuse. There was also a pervasive cigarette stench in the room. Our room was listed as "smoke-free" and also had "thank you for not smoking" signs in the room. However, there was a cigarette stench so pervasive throughout the entire room that we resorted to opening the windows in 20 degree weather to attempt to get the stench out - to no avail. It made my clothes smell like cigarettes even when I got back home. Speaking of not having any contact with the inn staff, we also ran into several issues that needed housekeeping to address. There was a phone number listed to call for but no one ever bothered to pick up, so you are left to fend for yourself: First, the shower in our room was not working. The guests next door were kind enough to come in and figure out the problem. Additionally, we needed more towels and bar soap for the sink, which they never bothered to replenish because housekeeping is nowhere to be found. They also never provided any tissues in the room. Finally, the mattress was as hard as a rock which wound up hurting my back. Because of the mattress and because I could hear everything from next-door and upstairs guests, I got essentially no sleep during my stay. It is truly tragic and a shame just how far downhill the Brookview Manor has gone. It is abundantly clear that the inn was in its heyday when Marty and Gaile owned it. There is an old notepad with notes from prior guests, thanking Marty and Gaile for their hospitality and excellent cooking over the years. Our experience could not have been further away from that with the new owner.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!

We unexpectedly had to travel to the Scranton area 2 get married under some difficult family circumstances with my father-in-law ill at the time. I wanted to make our wedding night something special despite the fact that it was not as planned. The owner was able, on short notice, to make arrangements to have a small wedding cake in our room, and had sparkling cider ready for us when we returned from exchanging our vows. The Silo room is the honeymoon suite of this location. A multi floor Suite with Gorgeous views, the Silo Room has a separate area with couch and television, as well as a oversized bathroom with whirlpool tub. A small kitchenette with coffee or tea making supplies, a small fridge and microwave made this a mini home away from home. One of the minor but strange things about this location is the door between the bathroom and the bedroom in The Silo room only has lace. You can look directly from the toilet to the bedroom, so if you are sharing that room with someone make sure there aren't any secrets between you! Breakfast was simple fare, but fresh and plentiful. Our order was taken the night before and everything was ready when we came downstairs. We had an omelet with ham and cheese, plenty of toast and muffins, and hot tea . If you like train memorabilia, this place is the spot for you. The owner has a mind-boggling assortment of miniature trains, antiques, signs and collectibles. There are other buildings in the Red Barn Village complex, including a retro store, a market, and mini golf. We did not get a chance to experience those, and we may need to do so next time. There will definitely be a next time, the owner here cares about his customers and it shows.

The hot tub taken on its own is lovely and so luxurious, a definitely upgrade. But...the kids constantly want to come in and are never stopped. People are leaving trash everywhere since they can get it at the bar next door. The outside doors are right next to it so that becoming a thoroughfare won't be relaxing. The lighting is efficient and modern but not comforting. The splash pad is a fun idea but it is SO LOUD when it comes on, you can't hear anything at all. I'll reserve judgement for when the full outdoors are renovated and when the pool area is quiet it's lovely. Let me tell you - it did not disapoint! We had an amazing time and are already planning another trip there with a larger group. We like to stay in the Inn down by the lake because we have golfers in our group. All our rooms were terrific and appear to be relatively recently renovated. Some had golf course views & others had lake side views. We squeezed as much into our 3 days as possible! Rounds of golf, lunches, a lawn bowling tournament (our own), corn hole tournament (also our own), a golf cart tour (shout out to Monica our guide as well as our lawn bowling babysitter!! the best!), hikes to a waterfall and lots of food! We had the modified meal package with breakfast & dinner included. The breakfast buffet had everything you could possibly want. There were plenty of choices for dinner & something for everyone. We had dinner one night in the Lakeview dining room & the other night in the Windsor dining room in the main lodge. We had the most amazing server in the Windsor - shout out to Sam, literally one of the best ever. Handled our group of 8 with lots of humor & grace and was able to give it right back to us-- funny, polite and quick witted. My only issue during our entire stay was an unpleasant encounter with a rude concierge that caught us off guard because everyone else was amazing - from the gentleman Chris who checked us in & accommodated the group to the housekeeping attendants to the bar tenders in the Library Lounge to all the servers in the restaurants. My one disapointment was they closed the spa during covid and haven't reopened it since. The ladies & I would have taken advantage of it had it been there but we found other things to occupy our time while the guys were golfing. The renovations they've made since we were last there were terrific. They updated the Tap Room downstairs in the Lodge and added a coffee shop & the Library bar on the main floor. And as always, the grounds with BEAUTIFUL. Just walking the property is fun! Our group of 8 is already planning our trip for next fall!

We purchased the honeymoon package which includes champagne, chocolates and an hour couple massage. Upon entering the office we were greeted by a very nice lady named Rose. During check in we had to wait approximately 20 minutes while the room was being cleaned (this was 7:45PM) and the key was located. We were given the key to room 14 in the birch-wood suite. We drove through the un-kept wooded area and arrived at our room. We entered, hoping that the inside of the room would be much better than the run down outside. Before we even opened the door the smell of must permeated through to the outside area. The inside was even worse. The rugs appeared to be from the 40's with multiple cigarette holes, the kitchen fridge buzzed louder than the bugs that surrounded the "suite", the bed was inspected for bed bugs (which none were found), the filter in the air conditioner appeared to have NEVER been changed, the bathroom was so gross that my husband wouldn't even stand over the toilet to urinate, the chocolates had a CVS tag on them with a clearance sticker for 9.99 and the cheap champagne was never put on ice. We sat pondering what to do for about 2 whole min. and then decided to ask for our money back. When we arrived back at the office the place was locked down. Thank goodness that Rose had given us her cell phone number. A quick call was made requesting our money back. My husband asked why our room did not look like what was advertised on line and Rose offered us to get us that room! WTH, why weren't we given that room in the first place? Rose immediately returned to the office and refunded my money in full. I would have given this review 0 stars had it not been for the 100% refund and the courtesy of the Rose. I would not spend my money at this place unless you are looking for someplace to get bit by insects in the middle of the night and smell of must in the morning. We ended up going to Paradise Stream (just 5 min. away) - spending 300$ more for an ALL INCLUSIVE stay and was treated like royalty. This is the place to be in the Poconos!
