My boyfriend and I stayed here for a getaway last summer and had a great experience. The inn is charming, clean, and cosy. The hosts, Marty and Gaile, are so friendly and welcoming and really made us feel at-home and taken care of. They gave us tips on activities and trails nearby that we could check out during the day and it was just a quick drive to trails along the Delaware Water Gap. We had arrived on a weekday so not many other guests were around that day. While talking with Marty about breakfast and his cooking, he mentioned a nearby market that sold delicious tomatoes. After this conversation, he went to the market and bought the tomatoes just to prepare a special dish for our breakfast the next day. It was delicious! We also had dinner at the restaurant on one night and every dish was incredible. You can tell how much attention and detail Marty puts into each dish and how knowledgeable he is about food. Eating in the covered patio at night looking out into the trees and fireflies was so relaxing. We're sad that COVID has forced them to close for the time-being as we would have loved to come back this summer. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for their reopening and hope to come back again soon. Thank you Gaile and Marty for the wonderful experience and hope you're both doing well.

The owners Mark and Carol were more than accommodating, and they made us feel very welcome during our weekend getaway. The room was spotless and super cozy. We honestly got the best sleep ever as the beds were super comfortable. The included satellite TV service was a nice touch, as we were able to watch some good shows while unwinding from our day. The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Everything was super fresh and it screamed top quality ingredients. I had gotten the special with truffle and asparagus with home fries and it was VERY good. My lady had scrambled eggs with sausage patties, blueberry pancakes, home fries toast and she loved it as well. That same night we had dinner in the restaurant named Butter, and it was such a treat. The menu is extensive enough to have a variety of options without being overbearing. Dinner was just as amazing as breakfast, and EVERYTHING we had was top tier. We got a Tokyo Mule, the Sidecar, The Margarita Flatbread, the Lobster Campanelle, the Horseradish Crusted Salmon, a Nutty Irish dessert cocktail and an Espresso Martini alongside a dessert (I can't remember which one we shared). We devoured absolutely everything we had. Portions were generous and the flavors were out of this world. Customer service on the restaurant side was also very good. Do note that dinner isn't included in your stay, but I HIGHLY recommend trying the restaurant. Aside from all of the above, I can't overstate how good the customer service was here. Mark and Carol really made this place feel like a second home. The decor also gives that feeling, and it all culminates to being one of the best places I've ever stayed. Don't hesitate. Highly recommended!

Super fun and tasteful decor! Also very warm and welcoming inside as they had the fireplace lit with candles. We were instantly greeted by name and was offered a complementary champagne toast and dessert for saying we were celebrating! We ordered homemade ricotta & bruschetta, both of us got the porck chops, and split the cranberry creme brulee. It was one of the best meals we've both had. We are dreaming about that pork chop, had such delicious flavor, juicy, and decent portions! The mushroom sauce was also super flavorful with the mashed potatoes cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very personable and attentive to us as well. She made small talk and seemed very interested in our day. We would love to consider this place for rehearsal dinner when we have our big wedding in a couple years! Awesome food and place!!!

My husband had the snowball which he thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend both. They only have a few bottled beers but had many wines to choose from. We went with the special soup of the day which was a tomato soup with rice --- it was to die for! For our entrees, I went with the blue salmon which came with a baked potato and veggie of the day (creamed spinach with feta cheese). My husband opted for the pork tenderloin. He doesn't like spinach so they accommodated that by offering a different veggie (broccoli or green beans). My husband was very happy and raved about the broccoli and said the pork tenderloin was the best he ever had. For dessert, we went with the brownie towers, which came out kind of hard. The waitress (Jeannie) apologized and even brought us out another piece. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the porch, it was really nice. The only thing I can recommend was maybe adding light dinner music to enhance the experience. All in all, the meal and experience was worth every penny and I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!

We unexpectedly had to travel to the Scranton area 2 get married under some difficult family circumstances with my father-in-law ill at the time. I wanted to make our wedding night something special despite the fact that it was not as planned. The owner was able, on short notice, to make arrangements to have a small wedding cake in our room, and had sparkling cider ready for us when we returned from exchanging our vows. The Silo room is the honeymoon suite of this location. A multi floor Suite with Gorgeous views, the Silo Room has a separate area with couch and television, as well as a oversized bathroom with whirlpool tub. A small kitchenette with coffee or tea making supplies, a small fridge and microwave made this a mini home away from home. One of the minor but strange things about this location is the door between the bathroom and the bedroom in The Silo room only has lace. You can look directly from the toilet to the bedroom, so if you are sharing that room with someone make sure there aren't any secrets between you! Breakfast was simple fare, but fresh and plentiful. Our order was taken the night before and everything was ready when we came downstairs. We had an omelet with ham and cheese, plenty of toast and muffins, and hot tea . If you like train memorabilia, this place is the spot for you. The owner has a mind-boggling assortment of miniature trains, antiques, signs and collectibles. There are other buildings in the Red Barn Village complex, including a retro store, a market, and mini golf. We did not get a chance to experience those, and we may need to do so next time. There will definitely be a next time, the owner here cares about his customers and it shows.

The hot tub taken on its own is lovely and so luxurious, a definitely upgrade. But...the kids constantly want to come in and are never stopped. People are leaving trash everywhere since they can get it at the bar next door. The outside doors are right next to it so that becoming a thoroughfare won't be relaxing. The lighting is efficient and modern but not comforting. The splash pad is a fun idea but it is SO LOUD when it comes on, you can't hear anything at all. I'll reserve judgement for when the full outdoors are renovated and when the pool area is quiet it's lovely. We adore this place deeply but do worry it's trying to be all things to all people all the time.

Let me tell you - it did not disapoint! We had an amazing time and are already planning another trip there with a larger group. We like to stay in the Inn down by the lake because we have golfers in our group. All our rooms were terrific and appear to be relatively recently renovated. Some had golf course views & others had lake side views. We squeezed as much into our 3 days as possible! Rounds of golf, lunches, a lawn bowling tournament (our own), corn hole tournament (also our own), a golf cart tour (shout out to Monica our guide as well as our lawn bowling babysitter!! the best!), hikes to a waterfall and lots of food! We had the modified meal package with breakfast & dinner included. The breakfast buffet had everything you could possibly want. There were plenty of choices for dinner & something for everyone. We had dinner one night in the Lakeview dining room & the other night in the Windsor dining room in the main lodge. We had the most amazing server in the Windsor - shout out to Sam, literally one of the best ever. Handled our group of 8 with lots of humor & grace and was able to give it right back to us-- funny, polite and quick witted. My only issue during our entire stay was an unpleasant encounter with a rude concierge that caught us off guard because everyone else was amazing - from the gentleman Chris who checked us in & accommodated the group to the housekeeping attendants to the bar tenders in the Library Lounge to all the servers in the restaurants. My one disapointment was they closed the spa during covid and haven't reopened it since. The ladies & I would have taken advantage of it had it been there but we found other things to occupy our time while the guys were golfing. The renovations they've made since we were last there were terrific. They updated the Tap Room downstairs in the Lodge and added a coffee shop & the Library bar on the main floor. And as always, the grounds with BEAUTIFUL. Just walking the property is fun! Our group of 8 is already planning our trip for next fall!

We purchased the honeymoon package which includes champagne, chocolates and an hour couple massage. Upon entering the office we were greeted by a very nice lady named Rose. During check in we had to wait approximately 20 minutes while the room was being cleaned (this was 7:45PM) and the key was located. We were given the key to room 14 in the birch-wood suite. We drove through the un-kept wooded area and arrived at our room. We entered, hoping that the inside of the room would be much better than the run down outside. Before we even opened the door the smell of must permeated through to the outside area. The inside was even worse. The rugs appeared to be from the 40's with multiple cigarette holes, the kitchen fridge buzzed louder than the bugs that surrounded the "suite", the bed was inspected for bed bugs (which none were found), the filter in the air conditioner appeared to have NEVER been changed, the bathroom was so gross that my husband wouldn't even stand over the toilet to urinate, the chocolates had a CVS tag on them with a clearance sticker for 9.99 and the cheap champagne was never put on ice. We sat pondering what to do for about 2 whole min. and then decided to ask for our money back. When we arrived back at the office the place was locked down. Thank goodness that Rose had given us her cell phone number. A quick call was made requesting our money back. My husband asked why our room did not look like what was advertised on line and Rose offered us to get us that room! WTH, why weren't we given that room in the first place? Rose immediately returned to the office and refunded my money in full. I would have given this review 0 stars had it not been for the 100% refund and the courtesy of the Rose. I would not spend my money at this place unless you are looking for someplace to get bit by insects in the middle of the night and smell of must in the morning. We ended up going to Paradise Stream (just 5 min. away) - spending 300$ more for an ALL INCLUSIVE stay and was treated like royalty. This is the place to be in the Poconos!
