Unremarkable. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Main Street for some artisan-quality chocolate. I ordered a piece of salted caramel fudge and it was cloyingly sweet and tasted like it was made with mediocre quality chocolate. Some of the ice cream had that frosted, freezer-burned look, so I skipped it. The service was fine. Not rude, but not particularly friendly either. There were two other customers in my the store, so it wasn't particularly busy. That being said, kids would probably like it, and it's a grab-and-go vibe kind of place, so you can be on your merry way exploring Fourth St. or sit at the picnic tables outside.

I went on a Thursday evening and there was no wait. The customer service was good. They have ice cream, fudge, caramel apples and a number of other sweet treats. I only tried the ice cream. I wanted a sugar cone, but the only options were waffle cones or cups so I went with a cup. I taste tested two flavors and went with cookies and cream. The quality of the ice cream was good. I'd return.

It seems like a lot of people have had really bad experiences with this place. My experience wasn't as bad. I just think some of the items are overpriced, but the quality isn't terrible. I tried the raspberry ice cream and milk chocolate fudge. The raspberry ice cream was pretty good. It had a nice balance of sweetness to sourness. They give you a nice little cup to place the ice cream in. Not bad overall, almost like a sorbet. The fudge was even better. It is their specialty. They gave me a very generous serving, but the price was a little bit high. It was super sweet, so if you don't want to be overwhelmed with sugar, don't order it. But it was also rich and delicious. A note on the service, which most people seem to be complaining about. I don't think it's always like that. For me, the service was fine. It was a bit busy and we had to wait, but no one was rude or anything like that. All in all, I didn't think this was a bad place. Good fudge and decent ice cream. Employees were fine as well. Prices are a tad high.

Evening fun at Fourth Street Live. We had a early dinner and was looking to satisfy our sweet tooth. We popped into the Fudgery. So many offering to chose from. There was a unexpected creamery of Ice cream. The peanut butter and salted fudge was in generous portions. We noticed the menu board offered a discount offer for 3 items how could we resist chocolate of course. Here is where the service went south. After being waited on at counter the employee excuses herself and left only to not return yet we could see her at back counter talking to another employee who decided her conversation was more important then us. Once she returns proceeded to wait on others next to us. Unfortunate. We did purchase the three choices, miffed by service. Fudge was good, a bit more over sweet. It was fudge so we expected a sugar bump. I truly don't like giving a so so review but customer service needs attention.

I was visiting the area for the pre-Derby festivities and saw this shop, and couldn't wait to try it out. Well Sunday, after visiting an Arts Showing, we ubered over. Wjen we got it was not busy with only two people ahead of us and THREE young ladies behind the counter chatting amongst themselves. The four of us walked in and had to ask for assistance more than once. When the young lady finally came over to help, the young lady she was working with AGAIN came over to rudely interrupt her while we were engaged in converstion. I asked her to please let her(the staff that was assisting) help me. smh. This was so very rude and unprofessional. This establishmemt is open for congregating and chatter. Definitely not business. It's a NO.

Stopped in while downtown for Burger Week. Never again. There was no management present and the store was running amuck. I won't be surprised when this location doesn't make it. At least 5 employees working - but yet the young man from the ice cream side had to walk over to the fudge side because the young ladies over in that area COULDN'T be bothered. What a bunch of wasted space and money for the company. It's already expensive for a piece of fudge - but then you have shitty workers. My son asked for this place before dinner and earned a treat for afterwards. Had it not been for him I wouldn't have spent even one penny in this store. Management needs to watch some Gary V videos and get off their butts and clean house at this location. Won't be back but will recommend to family and friends to Avoid this place.

1st time stopping at The Fudgery. Staff was friendly. Plenty of options. regarding cleanliness that could be improved. I saw dirty glass where the product was, messy cash register, dirty floors and the most important one to ME....the employees weren't wearing hair nets while preparing the fudge. Location looked like it needed new paint and lights or something. The fudge and ice cream selection and flavors were also ok. Too bad the owners are letting this place go down like this even though it's a prime location.

Yum yum My lady friend practically dragged me into the place but once inside I had to thank her great selection of fudge and ice cream

There is a reason the Fudgery is usually packed with sweets seeking patrons. And that reason is that there aren't many other places to get ice cream or confections in or around fourth street live. The flavors and vibe are fairly traditional, with hand dipped ice cream and milkshakes on offer from the staff.

Expect a long wait at this place with very limited options

I wanted one of everything when I walked in. Fourth Street is a funny area. Good location for a dessert shop.

I had a watered down tasting chocolate milkshake. Their fudge isn't that good either. Very expensive for what you get. Don't waste you money

Located a mere feet off the walking bridge that takes you from Jeffersonville to Lousiville I can imagine this sweet shop gets A lot of visitors from guests before or after walking the bridge. The shop itself is mainly a dyi froyo shop where you pick your flavor of ice cream and select your own toppings. The prices are based off size of the cup and the amount of toppings chosen. The inside is smaller and setup with the ice cream machines and several yummy toppings. There absolutely is a topping for everyone. Anything you can think to put on ice cream they pretty much had. Out back they do have a patio with some outdoor seating which me and my family and some of my daughters friends took advantage of. We were all really satisfied with the frozen yogurt. Had a good flavor. I personally got a chocolate ice cream and put everything from Reese pieces, peanut butter cups, and cookie crumbles on it. I was satisfied for sure. Good taste and filled that ever lasting sweet tooth. Overall this is a cool shop with good options in an optimal location. A bit pricey. We all got the smaller sizes and a few toppings and it was around $8 a piece. So if your gonna get a topping or a cup remember you control the quantity so make sure you don't skimp on yourself. Definitely worth checking out especially on warmer days when out enjoying the nice riverfront area of the city.
