Decided to give this place a try! They don't have doggie ice cream like graters but they were able to give us a pup cup which honestly seemed like actual ice cream so I didn't let my dog have it! Been going to probably ever since they open won't be going anymore after we had dinner. My wife didn't want anything and I ordered a sundae and we had left our dog at home because he gets carsick ask for a pup cup and they charged me three dollars for a pup cup. I wish I could give this place more than five stars! It's funny I've lived here all my life but I don't need a ton of ice cream and don't usually stop to get ice cream but today was Father's Day and my husband wanted to stop there for some reason and get a shake so we did and now you're going to have to pry this place out of my cold dead hands LOL! I had something simple just a double scoop of chocolate and this is what I have been wanting chocolate ice cream to taste like all my life but never has until now!! This is how chocolate ice cream should have always tasted and my husband absolutely loved his chocolate shake also! This is the first time in all our visits over the years, that the service and product left a bad taste in our mouth! Forgive the pun, ha ha! We have been regular Chiller's customers for many years, and most recently taking our grandsons weekly. My wife very often orders their chocolate frozen yogurt due to lower sugar and less heavy feeling after eating. Our visit yesterday, when my wife was given her chocolate frozen yogurt, it was very pale, not it's regular chocolate color. Her very first taste, she said this isn't right, there's no chocolate taste. Since she received hers first out of our 4 orders, we were still sitting at the drive thru window. My wife said she didn't want it and we gave it back to the young lady. The young lady acted like she was personally insulted and became a little confrontational. She said that's their normal frozen yogurt and insinuated that's the way it's always served. My wife stated she gets it almost weekly and it's always darker and with a chocolate taste instead of bland. The young lady snapped it back out of my hand and said; OK what do you want! My wife substituted a hand dipped flavor she knew she liked. When we received her substituted ice cream, the single scoop was tiny. The ONLY reason I rated them two stars was all the rest of our order was fine. Based on my wife's experience it would have been less. read more

Give the Old Fashioned Sodas a shot - they are uniquely wonderful. Also, their gift cards make terrific gifts for holidays and birthdays. OH! I almost forgot. Great variety and very tasty treats. Place tends to close right before Thanksgiving and reopen around Valentines Day. Friendly place typically staffed by teeny-bopper girls, yet friendly. Usually has a good crowd and finding a seat to sit outside can be challenging at times especially since there is no inside dinning. Prices are expensive for my tastes but probably typical of ice cream exclusive shops like Baskin-Robbins and Graeters. They have hot-dogs and a few other items to fill up on as well. I should have tried the hard ice cream, which is billed as hand-made; sadly, my eyes never made it further than seeing the s'mores sundae on the board! (I'm a sucker for all things s'mores.) The soft-serve is standard, pretty much what you'd find at a Dairy Queen, but with a little more variety in toppings and the sundae varieties offered. I love this place, I usually go through the drive through with my son. The way I describe this place is inexpensive treats for everyone. Latte for me and a sundaes for my son. I have never been to any other location but the one in Sellersburg, IN. =) Always great service. The only thing I dislike about this place is that they are closed during the winter. I have three words to describe my feelings towards my experience at Chillers...Not.Going.Back. This place is a zoo for kids. The line was insanely long with no organization or direction, just kids running, screaming, crying and bumping into you everywhere. I waited it out anyways. 17 mins later, it was our turn to order, a brownie sundae and a pineapple froyo. 10 minutes after that, the froyo is "ready". This tasted like vanilla ice cream, not pineapple, but was yellow. 15 minutes after this, I watched as every person who showed up much much later than us, get their orders but still not sundae. I approach the window and politely tell the girls I am still missing my brownie sundae and showed my receipt. I get blankly stared at and they go back to taking orders. A normal reply would be "I'm sorry, I am making this for you right now". 5 minutes after that, I reproach the window and the girl says she will make it right now. 5 minutes after that, a girl comes back and gives me the sundae and says "do you still want your refund?". Well I never asked for me money back but I'll take it. She gives me back the $4 cash and does not apologize for my experience or anything. I visited yesterday and a female employee was very rude. I asked for a lid for my strawberry shortcake and she snatched the spoon out, put the lid on, and stated that she thought I was going to eat it now before slamming the window. I then asked for a spoon and told her that I was still waiting on other food, to which she replied that someone was still making it before slamming the window again and walking away.It seemed like anytime I spoke to her, she was irritated. When the male employee brought the rest of my order, I asked to speak with the manager and informed her of what happened. She stated that the window closes hard on its own and asked if I needed anything else. She didn't show any concern for the employee's behavior. read more

This review is for the Jeffersonville location....but they're all the same. I wasn't impressed in the quality of the ice cream for the price they charge. It tasted pretty generic, not rich at all and I expected something unique. I brought in a coupon (which had a blatant typo, bad grammar for a business promotion correlates to how their product can be interpreted. bad sign!) The cups they served my sundae in was neat though! I highly doubt I'll be back, take a trip over to Frankfort ave and get GREAT ice cream from one of those shops along there. read more

My family and i have been going to Chillers for many years now but as of today we will not be going back. Im not much for desserts but i loved there quarter pound hot dog selection that they decided to remove. They kept the chili dog's and my favorite the smokehouse dog but it is the small size dogs. I don't like there small dogs they taste cheap. As for the ice cream, that's what my kids like but they like Graeter's more and there is one a couple miles down the road by Mijer.
