I cannot even begin to tell you how unbelievable the fudge is from here!! I have been in search for a perfect penuche fudge for quite sometime. It is thee most delicious I have ever had. Other places I tried don't even come close!!!! Texture, freshness and unbelievable flavor - I have completed my search. I also bought another flavor to broaden my horizons and that was as equally delicious (chocolate kahlua). I actually am trying to figure out when I can actually get back there to purchase a larger amount. Not good - but soooo ridiculously good! As I walked up to The Fudgery I was questioning why it looked so familiar to me. Then the picture on the wall revealed why! This place was in the movie The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds! HOW cool!! (See pic below). Any-who, they had a few ice cream flavors, espresso, cappuccino, sodas, taffy, elephant ears, and lots of fudge options, but I didn't buy any. Did sample the mint chip one..it was good! Kinda weird but my mom got a single scoop of vanilla ice cream and come to find out it's called "Crazy Vanilla" and actually resembles rainbow sherbet. Strange in my opinion. But, whatever works! The kid behind the counter looked young and kind of bored that we were there. Maybe he was having an off day, but it's never a great idea to take it out on the paying patrons! I have a peanut allergy and finding fudge places that can accommodate that is extremely hard. When asking the employees if they were able to be peanut allergy friendly, they absolutely were. On top of this, I told the employees I would be back, as I wanted to walk around and it was a bit too hot to be carrying fudge around... they asked what I was going to be getting and when I came back it was all ready for me! We decided to stop by the Fudgery while in Rockport. The girl working was very nice and let us try some samples. They sell ice cream, fudge, taffy and a few other items. The fudge is extremely sweet but delicious. We bought a 1 pound box to take home and share. If you're in the area and want something sweet definitely stop by the Fudgery. read more

Tons of fudge, obviously - and a wide wide variety of flavors and nuts. It was kind of off to the side and quiet inside, with a young man and his paddle churning (is 'churning' the right term for fudge?) the fudge. There are gigantuous elephant ears for cheap here though. read more

Came across this charming building that has half of a raft on its facade, in this tiny cute town. The Fudgery! Had to go in and check out their fudge. If I could be immune from the fat and the calories this is the place I like to hang out! The sales guys were very polite and generous with their samples. Fudge is pretty good and the kids are sweet who work there, but I watched the manager yell at a customer because he was given more fudge than he wanted and was confused. Poor dude got screamed at by the lady who also claimed to be the manager. He ended up walking away and leaving behind his fudge. I almost wanted to do the same. You can't treat people or customers like that and expect them to feel good about their purchase. read more

I love the Fudgery in Rockport, Massachusetts. The only fudge I will eat because it's so creamy and handmade right in Rockport! My dad is lactose intolerant, so the also have 4 Dairy Free varieties. So many delicious plavors, but my favorite is Oreo Cookie and Penuche! They ask have delicious espresso and a pastry called an Elephant Ear - they are soooooo good. I love this shop! read more

Every time we go to Rockport, we MUST stop here to get a few elephant ears! I don't even care that they sell fudge and it's called the fudgery. All I want and all that I go there for is the flaky, cinnamony, swirly deliciousness. I'd give this place 5 stars for the elephant ears alone. But the guy working at the counter could be a lot nicer though. I felt like he was doing a favor for the customers going through the shop. What's wrong with people who work in the service sector?? If you don't like what you do, then don't do it! That said, I'm only giving this place 3 stars. Service counts! read more

I can't speak for the fudge since we didn't get it but this is a review on customer service/employees. The employee making the Americano had no idea how to the use the coffee machine and had to ask two seperate other employees who took their time answering her questions. There was no one else in the shop at the time either. We ended up canceling our other coffee orders and just purchased this sad drink. Overall not a great experience to watch employees struggle and also not receive the help from others. I left feeling the staff here are just young students who don't care for the shop, products, and customers. read more

I went on an unhealthy spree at this place, more than once.. I got some chocolate raspberry fudge which was sweet but amazing and creamy. I then took a cousin here and we split an elephant ear. Hershey's Ice cream and coffee is also served and super nice staff! There is a coffee table with international money which is really cool to look at. read more

YUM! I love fudge and a good piece is hard to find. The penuche is my favorite, chocolate comes in 2nd. Bear Skin Neck is a great place (one of my favorites), maybe that is why I love The Fudgery so much! One thing I think could use some improvement... customer service. I am hard on customer service employeess... it comes from years as a CS manager. They are the ones representing a company... they should excel at what they do! (This is the reason they get only 4 stars). Stop by next time you are in the area! Just don't buy too much- it should be enjoyed asap as it start to get hard pretty fast. read more

I stopped at The Fudgery to get some fudge for my wife, and I found the older gentleman running the store to be extremely rude. I would never go back to that place. You would expect that especially at the end of the season he would be happy to see anybody coming into his store, instead of acting like he is doing customers a favor by selling the his product. read more

This is a cute shop with a wide selection of fudges on display - including vegan fudges. Sadly I cannot recommend the chocolate or peanut butter vegan fudges. Both taste like a block of sugar; I think it would be so much better if the focus was on the flavor and not the sweetness. I appreciate that they offer a vegan option - perhaps the other flavors taste better - and I hope they'll continue improving upon it! read more
