My daughter had an appointment and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it on time since the roads were slippery and it was snowing. I called to let them know I would possibly be running 5 min behind, which the person on the phone said was fine. A few minutes later, we are now driving to the "not so fun kids dentist" and the receptionist calls me to tell me that they need to reschedule, I said "No, your not, we are 2 minutes away",so the lady on the phone said she needed to recheck to make sure they could still keep the appointment, she tells me that they can see my daughter but only if she makes it here in 2 minutes, rushed driving on the slippery roads to get my daughter here. The people there are so nice. They do a great job. I love going to the dentist. They never do their job bad.

Literally the worst! Our son had multiple procedures including a porcelain crown (which fell out a few weeks later). They had to replace it with a metal crown and still charged us for the porcelain. The billing lady is truly the most difficult women to talk to, disrespectful and rude. Switching to a different pediatric dentist is the best thing I could have done for my son. I wish I knew better sooner... Since the review the same billing lady called back and pointed out a horrible mistake I made.. the porcelain crown did not last a few weeks.. it's a a whole few months.. my apologies for the misconception. I can't say enough wonderful things about the people at The Fun Kids Dentist. Not only are the Dentist and Hygienists amazing with my kiddos - one of whom is deathly afraid of going to the Dentist, but the front desk team is amazing. Teresa spent the last week helping me get to the bottom of an insurance issue, spent hours trying to figure out the issue and ultimately did! She kept me up to date throughout the entire process and was so incredibly kind and patient throughout the whole time. this place is a billing nightmare . I had new insurance so I called to see if they accepted it they stated yes . I went in for the appts asked again they said yes . after appt I got a bill I called again and they stated they submitted the wrong insurance . i received another bill. I called the office numerous of numerous calls with no call back finally 6 months later calls me back and tells me it was my responsibility . and why did I wait 6 months to call . I told her I didn't they waited. So why do the receptionist state it's covered but then you tell me that's not there responsibility to check. Then why did they answer the question 3 times ! This dentist is by far the worst dentist in America at this point. They scammed me by telling me my kid had 5 cavities when they didn't. They scared my kid so bad into crying, they are rude and ignorant and have no respect for their patients. They made me pay almost 10 times more for fillings my kid didn't even need. They also cannot and will not tolerate kids that are upset because they feel uncomfortable or are just in pain from their "professional skills" with their broken tools. I give this place a 0! The doctors and staff there are FANTASTIC! From the office people to the hygienists to absolutely anyone you will see there! My daughter was very fearful and they won her over in one visit, she still talks about going there months later. Dr. Angie is knowledgeable and has a gentle and calming demeanor with fearful kids. She is also kind, compassionate, explains different options and is great at thoroughly explaining procedures to parents. All of my children started professional dental care with The "Fun" Kids Dentist and we have trusted them with our children's dental care for over a decade. When it came time for braces, we naturally trusted them with orthodontic treatment for our older two children. Boy, were we naive and gullible! We were told that early treatment would enable the orthodontist to guide the growth of the jaw and incoming permanent teeth and - effectively - keep the mouth ready for permanent teeth to come in less crowded and crooked. (I believe this to be true in the profession, but it is not what we experienced at The "Fun" Kids Dentist. My daughter had a malformed tooth from birth, which they removed and put a spacer in. However, when the spacer started getting crowded out, they just took it out. Guess whose daughter now has a permanent tooth growing in *front* of another permanent tooth? Her teeth are a complete mess and certainly do it look as though they had any "early orthodontic intervention". My other child's teeth were also left in terrible shape after "Phase I". He looks like he has two fangs and, likewise, was left with teeth looking as though they did not have any type of early orthodontic intervention. Both kids were initially fitted for retainers (after the braces were removed - much to my surprise as the teeth looked terrible), which my husband and I ensured they wore daily. When they outgrew their respective retainers, they were just "cut loose". Permanent retainers were removed, as well. We were told that nothing further would be done until we a) *paid* for a second evaluation for Phase II (surely the orthodontist should already know what's going on with their teeth after treating them for Phase I?) and b) paid for Phase II. We were given the impression that - when we started with The "Fun" Kids Dentist for Phase I we were entering into an agreement that our children's teeth would be take care of from Phase I and through the interim until the permanent teeth were ready for Phase II. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with how they left our older two children's teeth, the orthodontist was completely condescending (for an inexplicable reason). He didn't make eye contact with us during the entire conversation and quickly passed us on to his *billing* employee to quote us for Phase II (which was quoted at much more than we were given the impression it would be when we decided to trust The Fun Kids Dentist with correcting our children's teeth, but that complaint pales in comparison of how they left our children's teeth). Looking back, I feel as though we fell for a dog and pony show. What they verbally told us was not what happened nor were all the things they promised during their "sales pitch" in the contract (do we feel foolish in retrospect? Absolutely). Our family friends whose children went through other orthodontists for Phase I have children whose teeth look far better (even though they did not necessarily start out better) than my children's do in the interim between phases and their orthodontists are still caring for their teeth before starting Phase II. (Which only makes sense - why would a trustworthy professional orthodontist *not* monitor a child's teeth that s/he had already worked to straighten and expected to complete in Phase II on?) This office should spend less time painting the fingernails of and putting lipstick on little girls (because it's so fun to teach little girls how important it is to wear nail polish and make-up to be pretty!) and spend more time actually taking proper dental/orthodontic care of its patients. read more

I can't rave about my experience enough. So I'll Yelp about it instead. ;) My daughter yelled and complained all morning, "I don't want to go to the dentist, I hate the dentist!" She was singing a different tune by the time we were done with her appointment! The staff was SO friendly- everyone greeted us by name, and welcomed us to the office. Also, prior to her appointment, the office called to see if any of their recent cancellations worked with our schedule, and could get us in sooner. Wow! We got a full tour; and I loved that the dental hygienist took the time to show my daughter her tools, and explain what each of them did. And the dentist was so friendly! While it helped my daughter had a clean bill of health (er, mouth?) the entire experience made her much more comfortable about going back in the future. read more

We sent our Daughter to The Fun Kids Dentist 2 years ago and were told she had 4 cavities. We took her to Dental Associates 2 weeks later and they told us she had 1 very small cavity. Someone wasn't telling the truth. read more

This office is a GODSEND! My daughter suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and has been beyond petrified of the dentist. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists to the dentists were AMAZING!!!! They took so much time with my daughter, made her feel so comfortable and she was actually laughing through the entire visit! The whole experience was a true pleasure. My son is now 12 years old and we have been coming here since he was 9 months old. He has a very rare syndrome and lots and lots of medical issues and special needs. Everyone has been absolutely fabulous with us, has a smile and is always friendly! We have never once felt like we were a bother or are holding things up. Today was the 2nd time my kids have gone to The Fun Kids Dentist. We moves to the area this spring and have had great experiences here so far! Everyone who works here are very friendly and so good with the kids! They know how to handle all types of kids even my crying 2 year old who didn't want to open her mouth. They sang her songs and showed her all the tools to make her feel more comfortable. I would highly recommended kids going here! read more
