My husband found this florist on line and loved the guy, Rick's, can-do attitude on the phone when he called. My husband wanted a roses arrangement that he saw on the website and Rick said "no problem" and showed up personally on our anniversary to deliver the most beautiful flower arrangement my husband ever got me. Beautifully colored pink and peach roses and white hydrangea overflowing from a vase. "Luxe Be A Lady" was the name of the arrangement, and it looked exactly like the picture on the website. When does that ever happen? I remarked that it was as beautiful as the big arrangements adorning the lobbies of some of the fancy offices I worked at in the city. Later we noticed on the website that they have another location in the city, so there it is, right here in Huntington: Manhattan-style flower arrangements. Just gorgeous. I even tried calling the NYC location, there was no answer there either! We had a really nice in person discussion during the pick up of the flowers as well. Michelle listened and provided details that I had not considered that took the floral arrangement to a level I did not expect. As I perpetual novice flower buyer my first impression was confirmed by my wife who was very impressed and shared this was absolutely the best rose bouquet I had ever brought home! AVOID AT ALL COSTS I spent $200 on an arrangement of roses pictured on the website. They were very tasteful lavender roses. What was sent was a very very cheap looking and not fresh arrangement of pink roses that looked like tips had been dipped in red dye. The owner insisted that this is a premium flower, I cannot believe this. I could've gotten the same arrangement for half the price online, but I thought I was dealing with a reputable florist and that their flowers would somewhat match what was on the site. I understand that availability dictates what flowers are used to, but this is not the case. This is an issue of bait and switch. This is an issue of photographs of a really amazing flower arrangements on the website, and a delivery of garbage. I will never ever use this awful flower shop again. What a joke! I ordered the African Violet basket for delivery on 5/18/20. I was sent a confirmation of my order AND confirmation of delivery, complete with the driver's notes. Long story short, my friend never received the flowers even though I was told she did. When I called the store I talked to someone, perhaps the owner, who kept insisting that even though I received a confirmation of delivery, that didn't really mean it was delivered. What? Needed same day delivery ordered through FTD. FTD could only give approximate delivery time of 4hr window. FTD gave me direct phone number to call florist who happened to be in the neighborhood. Florist was extremely accommodating and had it ready in 10 minutes. The bouquet was beautifully arranged with fresh roses. She actually tossed in a couple extra roses to make it really nice! Do NOT use this florist! I ordered a funeral arrangement for a life long friend to be sent to MA Connell funeral home. I paid $173.81 for what was supposed to be a "beautiful " arrangement of Calla Lilly's, hydrangeas and greens. I was mortified when I saw a vase of sparse, drooping, half dead flowers. I called after her funeral and sent a picture of what was received. I called three times and spoke to a lady that works in the shop. Yesterday she said she had received the picture and agreed the flowers were terrible and blamed the wholesaler. I said I didn't buy them from the "wholesaler", I bought them from Funky Flowers. She said she'd have her partner call me. He finally called me at 5pm on Tuesday ( BTW I told them about the problem last Friday). He also blamed the wholesaler. When I told him I wanted a refund, he hung up on me! I'm trying to upload a photo to attach to this review, but I'm having trouble. I am also contacting the funeral home and advising them not to recommend Funky Flowers on their website. I ordered a Thanksgiving centerpiece from 1-800 Flowers. They obviously subbed it out to to The Funky Flower. My centerpiece was roughly half the size of the photo of the 800 Flowers. At 3:00 PM on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, The Funky Flower delivered a small to medium round centerpiece instead of the large oblong I ordered. I called The Funky Flower to explain and spoke with the owner Michelle who said "1 800 Flowers does not pay me enough to send an arrangement that large." Really Michelle? Then you should not take an order from them fill and then have me with a centerpiece half the size that I need for my table of 12 people. POOR Customer service.Off to buy flowers! I ordered purple tulips which were advertised on their webiste as a particular arrangement for mothers day and the order was confirmed via email. At 4pm on the Sunday of mother's day i received an email telling me that the flowers were delivered and accepted by my mother. I didnt hear from her and thought it was strange so called her and she told me to hold on that the delivery person was there and she was receiving the flowers, this was two hours after receiving the email. Then my mom sent me a photo of the flowers and although they were tulips, they were a sad mixture of white and pink which is not what I ordered. I get they may have been busy and maybe even that they ran out of what i ordered but should have called me before delivering something that I did not order or pay for. I called the shop and quite didnt really expect them to do anything but wanted to let them know I was disappointed and the man that answered the phone was so beyond rude and then hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again. Before he hung up he told me that he has no control over what is posted on thier website and basically that it was too bad. I asked for the manager he said there was none and refused to give his name. I called back a few minutes later and a woman named Michelle answered as i tried to tell her the story sh ebasically told me to get over it and to send her a pic of the flowers which i did and she never called back. Very disappointed in this place. 1800 flowers used the funky flower shop for my families arrangements and they gave us not only the wrong size flowers but after we called and complained to 1800 flowers they gave us the same size the next day in fact was smaller then the first. Online it has the dimensions and they were not even close. Measured and took pictures of them. 1800 flowers should not use them anymore. It was an embarrassment and a disgrace to the family.
