This place is closed. Very frustrating as we traveled quite a while to get there. It clearly had been close a while.

When I walked into Darkside Games, I wasn't greeted. One employee was helping a customer with a trade of multiple Pokémon cards, which is understandable, but I stood by the display case looking at Magic cards for quite a while without any acknowledgment or indication I'd be helped. During that time, another customer who seemed like a regular came in and was immediately helped, while I continued waiting. A second employee later came out from the back, walked past me without saying anything, and started working without checking if I needed help. After about 15-16 minutes, I finally asked about a single card I was looking for and got a dismissive response. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and not very inviting compared to other TCG shops I've visited.

They have two separate areas with gaming tables - a smaller section in the front near the entrance and a larger section in the back with a bit more decor and ambiance. They hold weekly structured MTG meetups and for other games as well (for a small fee) and their event schedule is easily accessed on their website. We came in with my son in search of MTG cards and had fun browsing their selection. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were on par with other gaming stores in the area. Store and play areas were clean with some interesting custom decor items. They're located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Would be a great place to host your own card gaming sessions or join an established local specialty card gaming community!

Direct and a good guy. The shop greets everyone as the come in. I really like Miguel and Charlie , who I've bought a bunch of stuff from. Jacob is the one employee who has always been less than polite every time I dealt w him and caused me to cancel a multi / multi hundred dollar purchase for me so I'd avoid him. This is just my personal experience so I just try to avoid him. They run tournaments consistently , have a great selection of singles , and have a lot of desired products. Their products are always growing and that's what I really like as well. Give them a shot !

Ranging from board games, cards, DnD, and list goes on. Best part is that you can try all types of games for free. My wife and I visited with some friends and we had such a wonderful time playing board games. Time flew by so fast as we were all having fun. I'd say the tables could use some cleaning but very spacious overall. Parking is out in the back but it's pretty limited. Street parking is also available but watch out for time slots. Overall, very happy about Odyssey Games, very much a must visit spot if you love board games. Place can get packed as you'll often find plenty of people here. On top of single cards, booster packs, and booster boxes, you can get card accessories like sleeves, storage books and boxes, playmats, etc. They also have some plushies and anime figures as well, ranging from prize figures to some nicer ones. A Silver Age of sorts extended, albeit with fewer companies producing games and one, Avalon Hill, remained dominant. As the 1990s progressed more and more hobby and game shops closed, not entirely because of online companies, and while games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering held steady, it seemed that the hobby would fade away. In some cases the military simulations largely disappeared altogether, then, in the early 2000s, a new age of games, many family friendly, appeared, primarily eminating from Europe, hence Euro-style games featuring worker-placement mechanics represented by colorful wooden 'meeples'. Today most game stores have space for gamers of all ages and talents to play nightly as well as hosting tournaments. This small shop is dedicated to preserving the hobby and introducing user-friendly and sophisticated games alike to newbies and enthusiasts. While the stock is modest, the owner can acquire anything (if it's in print) quickly. Nevertheless, the store carries important accessories such as card sleeves and storage boxes, miniatures and paint to enliven board and role-playing games, dice, popular and new games, and much more. Keep the little shops alive!

They were extremely friendly and provided me with some insight into this hobby. There were a lot of figurines available, and supplies to paint them. They hold sessions that do not crossover to local shops nearby (Odyssey games, geeky teas, Pegasus, etc.). This is one of 3 Warhammer cafes and the displays they have on the floor come from the European countries. They only sale and allow Warhammer related items in the store. They have some tables where people can play for free and use their space for any social gatherings for Warhammer. They host events here and there for people to learn or gain knowledge in this world. They also have a little Cafe inside where you can get some desserts and drinks. The figurines are costly and this is a very expensive hobby. Even though I didnt purchase anything, they were all very friendly and didnt force us to purchase anything. I believe their intent is to educate people in the art of RPGs and the amazing skills it takes to paint and create figurines. No judgments are given to those who walk into the store.
