    Eggs Benedict??? I think not
    D.L. B.

Don't waste your money. The food tasted like it was all cooked in old oil. The eggs on the Benedict were way over cooked. The potatoes were undercooked. Asked for a glass of ice three times and had to finally go up to the bar and get it myself. They weren't busy at all. Took forever to get everything. Lots of waitstaff standing around. Bad all around.

Amazing fried green beans. Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced and the drink special Belvedere not your grandmas lemonade was good as well. Go bears!!

    $15.00 Bacon Club Sandwich

*SMOKING ALERT* they actually allow smoking inside this small restaurant / bar? It was disgusting. And sadly, as excited as I was to go back, the smoke ruined it for me. The Bacon Club Sandwich my husband ordered was big (worth $15.00?) not really. I ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich & mashed potatoes ($13.) the menu said it was "made in house", but it looked like a re-heated frozen slice, it was flavorful but I wouldn't order it again. I would have loved to return & try some more burgers, but I'm not going to deal with the cigarette smoke.

    Buffalo Shrimp!!! Simply put...AWESOME!!!

The bar has windows to show off the brewery behind the scenes. Our server was amazing. So nice & friendly. He even brought us a sample beer to taste while we were deciding. I ordered the stellar blue, my husband had the bleacher bum hazy IPA. They both were great! We got the huge hot pub pretzel with cheese dip. $16. It was good, but a little doughy. We still polished it off. Was great with the beers. I ordered fish & chips. It came with coleslaw. I was excited to try it because the menu said it had dried cherries. Unfortunately it was small & didn't have any cherries. It came with 3 big pieces of fish breaded perfectly. Amazing French fries. Lots of them. Definitely glad I was sharing. The menu was big & I can't wait to try more food & beer.

We ordered towards the top of the beer menu which was described to us as the lighter beers in color. As you make your way to the bottom of the draft beer menu, the beers get darker. Beers were refreshing and had a great taste. The Stellar Blue had a blueberry profile. The blueberry was not overwhelming and complemented the beer. I would've gave Shoreline a five star rating, but the Bavarian pretzel was expensive and underwhelming. It did not taste fully cooked. It was more doughy than I thought it should be. I loved the buttery taste of the Baramundi sandwich and the blackened flavor was on point. The fish and chips were on point also. I shared the fish and chips with my lunch date. The fish and chips were not the greasiest fish and chips I've had, but they did upset my stomach a little bit. Although I believe I am sensitive to greasy food. Server was friendly and helped us navigate the menu. We sat inside this time, but it looks like they have a great outdoor patio. If and when I go back, I'm going to avoid the pretzel, get the beer, and eat the Baramundi sandwich.

The room has a more lounge atmosphere than a bar. The tables and high tops were decorated with navy tablecloths. We brought our own flower arrangements for each table to add some color. The food was served buffet style at one end of the room with a dessert station at the end of the bar. We served prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, mostacciolli and a fresh salad with 3 choices of dressing. All VERY good. The meat was tender and flavorful and perfectly cooked. LOTS of positive comments from our guests. Would HIGHLY recommend Matey's Chart Room for your next family event or to stop by for a drink with friends. Very cozy room, love the vibe. Will definitely be back.

The other half received their food 20 minutes later. The food I received was made and left to sit until our half of the tables food was ready. There were probably 15 people on the same floor as us, not busy at all. We were never given updates on the time frame of where our food was (we had to ask another waitress for an update) or apologized to for the wait. Multiple people who came in 45+ minutes after our arrival ordered, received their food, and left before our food came. It was an overall bad experience and would not recommend this place to others. As a tourist do not put this place on your spots to eat list. Unless you are just trying to do drinks, this place is alright.

Bottom Line: Fun, waterside, marina atmosphere with decent food. Worth a stop…read more I picked this place out from my map function because it looked interesting, on the water, and near an historic, old railroad bridge (Trail Creek Swing Bridge). It is my first time here, and for a late afternoon linner. The place did not disappoint--for the most part. It is open air with a beachy, boaty, picnic tables-under-umbrellas vibe. It overlooks the water, a marina, and the name inspiring railroad swing bridge which makes for an interesting visual environment. Thankfully there is no attempt to force an out of place theme, sparing us from steel drum background music. Interestingly though, the only nod to the railroad structure inspired name was an old school railroad crossing sign at the entry otherwise everything else is boat marina feel. Our server was friendly and efficient. My hefty burger was thick and juicy. The coleslaw was fresh. The disappointment was the fries. They were more like shoestring fries and came dried out/overcooked. The sweet potatoes fries were a better bet. The lackluster fries were not enough though to lose a star. Overall the experience was a satisfying one and at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back especially as a very nice alternative to the other railroad name inspired brewery restaurant in town.

First, credit where it is due, our server was very nice and prompt. Awesome service. But what happened to the food???? The perch is gone and replaced by "pub fish" that is utterly tasteless and my wife's burger was tasteless as well, looked like a preformed bag burger. Y'all have to step this up or I can't come back. We moved away years ago and I try to come back 1-2 times per years and this isn't the same. The fries were incredible as always. The deck was a nice place to sit.
