Great happy hour. $5 drafts and plenty of food options. I enjoyed the Hipster NEIPA, etouffee poutine, and quarter muff sandwich. Sat at the bar and all of the staff were friendly and attentive! This place has a private event space and hosts lots of events like karaoke, bingo and music. I just may have to come back for metal night!

The food and service here were solid -- no complaints there. But finding the entrance? That was a whole other adventure. There's basically zero signage to guide you, and what looks like the main door turned out to be an exit. The feng shui of the whole entryway situation just feels...off. If you find the entrance you're not entirely sure if you're in the right place or trespassing. It sets a weird tone before you even sit down. Once inside, everything was fine -- but it shouldn't feel like solving a riddle just to find the door. A clear sign and a more welcoming entrance would go a long way toward making the experience match the quality of the beer.

Dear lord we love the food . Burger and wings . And the brew is 1st rate. Love our bar keeper service .Ambiance is alway calm and relaxing.

Italian beef and what the cluck sandwich and pretzel

Both the Italian beef and what the cluck sandwiches were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Beef was juicy and tender and so was the chicken breast. The pretzel was fluffy and the warm cheese dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Our server was attentive and friendly, food came out fast and was piping hot.

    Beer flight and Brunch specials!

Beau and I stopped by around 2pm on a Sunday for a late lunch and were excited to catch a brunch menu going on until 3pm. The food was amazing: the Monte Cristo with Fig Jam was perfectly sweet and savory, and the limited time special: Cajun Shrimp and (cheddar jalapeño) Grits was magical. All the beer we tried was excellent - I highly recommend a beer flight to try several tastes. For fun flavors, I was very pleasantly surprised by the blueberry-hinted milk stout (Hooray for Bloobies), and the cola-flavored brown ale (Literacola) - otherwise, the Hefeweizen and Red Ale (Nitro) were refreshing and delicious staples. They definitely know their beer. They also have seltzers, ciders, wine, and N/A beverages. Burn' Em is a vibrant, modern, slightly Gothic, laid back family-friendly restaurant brewery with a spacious indoor bar area, awesome merchandise and some table games, and a small outdoor dog-friendly patio that also hosts fun events (live music / burlesque / sip and paints and the like). The bartenders and servers are also so friendly. You really feel at home here - what's not to like? Highly recommended for a stop in Michigan City area.

The wings were super crispy and well seasoned. The sauce wasn't anything great, but they wings had enough flavor you didn't need it. The pretzel is very doughy, the cheese is good but you need more of it. Fries were excellent, skin still in most of them. Will definitely be back!

Been meaning to check out Burn 'Em Brewery for ages. Finally made it, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I've had a handful of their beers before (all solid), so I was excited have them in the taproom. The vibe? A little gritty, a little wild, totally my scene. Even though I'd already tried most of what was on the menu, I still managed to build a flight that hit the spot. Posted up at the bar and got incredible service. The bartender was friendly, chill and totally patient while I overanalyzed my picks. Great beer. Great energy. Great people. Will 100% go back for another round.

A ramen breaded chicken sandwich? Yes! Burn everything you know! This is the dunes delight, the lake life living, making Michigan jealous! Us three guys discovered the photos and had to try, annoyingly the big muff and fish couldn't give a reason to return but the drinks and What the Cluck made us rave all the way home. There's plenty of space, smart location, enjoyable staff, and so many options to take care of everyone. I'm a big fan! That cola Brown ale is pure genius, some coke splashed into beer, same for the pirates Aspirin. Can't wait to be back!

Great spot in Michigan City IN, just a few blocks from the mall. The food is very good. Love the New Orleans southern flair. Beers are good as well, lots of varieties and options for most palates. Servers and bartenders are helpful and enthusiastic. Free parking lot.

I really love this place. Located in Michigan city, it is an easy drive from the region. Also, less than a 15 minute drive from new Buffalo. They have a great selection of beers, friendly servers, and a really fun menu. I'm looking forward to hitting up this place for their brunch. I love the paintings all over the wall and there is a fun and eclectic look to the place. I love the Cajun menu items that are available here. Wish they would bring the nachos back.

No complaints here! Definitely a repeatable stop on our way up to Michigan. Good beer choices, great food selections and wonderful staff. I would highly suggest trying their hop water. Tried it during lent and still drink it. Better than most I can find in the stores.

Plenty of beers, plenty of parking and plenty of food options. Burn Em Brewing is a popular brewery in the Michigan City area and I can understand why. It's a casual space where it's easy to kick back and enjoy. I was here on a weekend evening and although the place was fairly crowded the group I was with were seated within minutes. They do have live music every so often, be sure to check out their website for all the deets. Service throughout was great. Our server was attentive and friendly. She was ready to give recommendations and knew the menu very well. My friends and I ordered drinks and food, both were brought out to us in a timely manner. Prices here are reasonable and their food portions are generous. I tried the Pilztachio draft beer. It was light, crisp with the perfect amount of pistachio to it. For food I had the fish out of water which is a blackened catfish sandwich. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did and goodness it was soooo good. Seasoned and cooked perfectly this fish sandwich hit the spot for me. It also came with a side of house chips. My friends and I enjoyed our time here and if I'm ever in the area again I'll be sure to make a stop here.

We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close. Food was average, their "award winning" lamb burger was not medium rare as stated on the menu. The only saving grace was our waitress who was very attentive and empathetic. Will not venture here again nor will recommend anyone to go here.

We grabbed a beer and a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about this restaurant. It's open, welcoming, and full of personality. I loved all of the dog photos throughout the restaurant and their "Sit. Stay. Eat!" theme, it gives the place such a fun, relaxed vibe. The menu is awesome, I honestly had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so good. We started with the truffle fries and they were incredible. For my entrée, I chose the grilled red snapper tacos, they were delicious. The fresh pineapple salsa paired perfectly with the fish, and I especially loved the pickled red cabbage on top. The snapper was grilled perfect. My husband and daughter shared the grilled shrimp po'boy which turned out to be a great decision because it's a generous-sized sandwich. They both liked the Cajun remoulade sauce and the soft telera roll it was served on. They also ordered a side of onion rings. My son enjoyed the cheeseburger from the kids menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. The Stray Dog has great food, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service. It's easy to see why it's such a popular spot. We will definitely be back the next time we're in New Buffalo!

We're from the Grand Rapids area, so it was a bit of a trek being about an hour and a half away. GR has plenty of karaoke options in the surrounding area and a ton of breweries - none that I'm aware of mix the two, nor have anything as unique as this. Seeing as it was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty packed, actually pretty hard to find seating. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get a spot near the stage. One thing to note is that they don't serve food; however there's usually a food truck onsite, so that's nice, if you happen to like the type of food on that particular day. The place was pretty packed, of course it was a Saturday, so wasn't a big surprise. Unfortunately, a few of the adult beverages were unavailable, apparently due to the 10-year anniversary the day before. I first tried the dark bodega Mexican lager, it was good, but not really what I was in the mood for. So, I decided to try something a little different, I'm glad I did. I went with the peanut butter & jelly ale, wow, I was really impressed! I ended up sticking to the PB&J's for the rest of the night. A couple of others in my party, who normally don't like ales, tried the PB&j and thought it was great. All in all, it was a great experience. The karaoke was a blast, some absolutely incredible singers. And I've never seen a crowd so engaged, the place was full of energy, so I'm sure that added to the overall positive experience. If Watermark wasn't so far away, it would definitely be a regular visit for us. We missed the last crowd elimination karaoke event in June, but are planning to make a return trip for the next one in July!
