They even have brunch.. bummer that I'm not gonna be able to go there that day. But another trip will stop in for brunch. They have legit biscuits and gravy. Large and spacious, and great big bar. When driving up look for the parking lot to the left of the building. But if you drive by it just pull into the small driveway on the other side of the building to get back around to it. This place is incredible. First of all it's a brewery so let's talk beer. The beer is fantastic. Every single beer I get is spot on. They have a great menu with great options in most popular beer categories. Reasonably priced. The beer lineup is impressive and tasty. Sometimes unique beers can go off the rails and not taste so good, but not the case here. Every beer I tried was better than the next. The food is unbelievably good. I've been there about four times at this point and food has been a showstopper every time. My only suggestion is bring out the food slower so I can drink more beer I love that I can take a growler home or a few four packs. Staff is super friendly. They're happy to have a conversation with you at the bar and the servers take the time to answer your questions and make recommendations. I can't wait to go back. The food and service here were solid -- no complaints there. But finding the entrance? That was a whole other adventure. There's basically zero signage to guide you, and what looks like the main door turned out to be an exit. The feng shui of the whole entryway situation just feels...off. If you find the entrance you're not entirely sure if you're in the right place or trespassing. It sets a weird tone before you even sit down. Once inside, everything was fine -- but it shouldn't feel like solving a riddle just to find the door. A clear sign and a more welcoming entrance would go a long way toward making the experience match the quality of the beer. read more

Beau and I stopped by around 2pm on a Sunday for a late lunch and were excited to catch a brunch menu going on until 3pm. The food was amazing: the Monte Cristo with Fig Jam was perfectly sweet and savory, and the limited time special: Cajun Shrimp and (cheddar jalapeño) Grits was magical. All the beer we tried was excellent - I highly recommend a beer flight to try several tastes. For fun flavors, I was very pleasantly surprised by the blueberry-hinted milk stout (Hooray for Bloobies), and the cola-flavored brown ale (Literacola) - otherwise, the Hefeweizen and Red Ale (Nitro) were refreshing and delicious staples. They definitely know their beer. They also have seltzers, ciders, wine, and N/A beverages. Burn' Em is a vibrant, modern, slightly Gothic, laid back family-friendly restaurant brewery with a spacious indoor bar area, awesome merchandise and some table games, and a small outdoor dog-friendly patio that also hosts fun events (live music / burlesque / sip and paints and the like). Been meaning to check out Burn 'Em Brewery for ages. Finally made it, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I've had a handful of their beers before (all solid), so I was excited have them in the taproom. The vibe? A little gritty, a little wild, totally my scene. Even though I'd already tried most of what was on the menu, I still managed to build a flight that hit the spot. Posted up at the bar and got incredible service. The bartender was friendly, chill and totally patient while I overanalyzed my picks. Great beer. Great energy. Great people. Will 100% go back for another round. read more

A ramen breaded chicken sandwich? Yes! Burn everything you know! This is the dunes delight, the lake life living, making Michigan jealous! Us three guys discovered the photos and had to try, annoyingly the big muff and fish couldn't give a reason to return but the drinks and What the Cluck made us rave all the way home. Plenty of beers, plenty of parking and plenty of food options. Burn Em Brewing is a popular brewery in the Michigan City area and I can understand why. It's a casual space where it's easy to kick back and enjoy. I was here on a weekend evening and although the place was fairly crowded the group I was with were seated within minutes. They do have live music every so often, be sure to check out their website for all the deets. Service throughout was great. Our server was attentive and friendly. She was ready to give recommendations and knew the menu very well. My friends and I ordered drinks and food, both were brought out to us in a timely manner. Prices here are reasonable and their food portions are generous. I tried the Pilztachio draft beer. It was light, crisp with the perfect amount of pistachio to it. For food I had the fish out of water which is a blackened catfish sandwich. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did and goodness it was soooo good. Seasoned and cooked perfectly this fish sandwich hit the spot for me. It also came with a side of house chips. My friends and I enjoyed our time here and if I'm ever in the area again I'll be sure to make a stop here. read more

Burn Em just opened a new facility next to the Blue Chip Casino on Rte 12. The space has an industrial vibe, and there is a huge parking lot on one side of the building while the entrance is on the other. It's kinda fun to watch people try to open all the doors along the way before getting to the correct side LOL Staff is friendly, beers are tasty! I tried two of the fruit ales plus a seltzer, and enjoyed them all. They only serve limited snacks now, but will have a full kitchen soon! We weren't even planning on having a full meal here, really just came for the drinks, but it ended up being a great decision. I was here for a tasting and tried the promillchen, kreamed corn, coconoats, and float your oats. My favorite was the coconoats. Staff was friendly. This was in the smaller location with limited seating inside, but they just moved to a bigger location. The barstools were wobbly and not that comfortable but I am guessing the new location has better seating. read more

Food is pretty good I can't lie. Lots of options, and it's not super overpriced. I got the "What the Cluck?" Asian fried chicken sandwich and it was very good. The burgers looked solid too. The giant pretzel appetizer tastes more like bread than a pretzel, but i'm used to Philadelphia's pretzels so maybe it's just me. The main downside to this place is that the acoustics are pretty bad. It's REALLY hard to hear anyone inside. They need to add another wall or take down a window or something to make it easier to hear anyone. Or else you're just gonna be sitting there in silence eating (not the worst). Would come back for the food, but I might doordash it instead of eating in. read more

Good selection of drinks from a group of owners who are working to build a brand. Not an appealing location, but the prices are very reasonable and it works for now. I only had the seltzer but was with some Chicago guys who came after a round of golf and they were loading up on 4 packs of the Hefeweizen to take home after having a few. Like other breweries, you are bound to find something everyone in your party likes with the varied selection. Good service and they appreciate the patrons unlike the larger establishments. If anything, it not being pretentious like so many other locations in the area catering to the upper class crowd makes it worth the stop. Got dinner here for our work friends bday on 6/10/25 and to our surprise they had bingo going on. The host of bingo was great and kept us entertained. However, we did not have the best experience with our server. Our ticket showed her name was Alyssa which I don't think she ever told us her name. She just seemed overwhelmed, rushed and pissed off. Right from the start she wasn't interested in helping us decide or recommend what drinks to get. I understand she had many tables, but she did not come back to our table after we got our food for at least 15-20 mins. We were waiting to eat our fries so we could tell her that our fries were not Cajun fries (since that's what we ordered). But since it took her forever to come back to our table, we had nibbled on a few. After finally being able to tell her, she got super defensive and said that they were indeed Cajun fries and walked away. We continued to eat the fries and were positive they had no kind of Cajun on them. You couldn't even see the Cajun on the fry. So we brought it up to her again and she got even more upset and told us that she was too busy for this. We asked for new fries and finally we got brought out actual Cajun fries with maybe a little too much Cajun on them. We still ate them and went on with our bingo. Stepped outside to smoke so I put my bingo card over the new fries so she wouldn't take them and when I came back she not only threw my fries away but she also threw away my bingo card. Mind you, we still had people sitting at the table playing bingo while we stepped outside. After returning to the table, we noticed that our server would not make eye contact with our table any more and didn't check on us at all after she took my fries and bingo card. But for some reason everyone else at the table didn't get their bingo card thrown away. It definitely upset me because we were only half way through bingo night and I couldn't play anymore while everyone else did. Not sure if I will be back after this not so good experience. read more

We have always enjoyed the beer offerings from Burn 'Em at beer festivals (ahhh - preCovid times), so when we planned a trip up to the dunes, we knew we had to check them out! Don't let the modest setting and location deter you. We had the best experience here! The beers were tasty and they welcomed our 2 blockhead puppers on the front gated patio without hesitation. There was also a somewhat enclosed patio on the side that appeared to have heaters going on this chilly day, but we would have had to go IN with the dogs to get there I think - so we opted to be safe and stay out front. We were all greeted with enthusiasm by what appeared to be Burn 'Em regulars or family - even as we were just walking up. They encouraged us to sit with them and gave lots of love to the dogs. The staff brought the dogs a water bowl and we chatted them up about the humane society down the road, fostering rescue dogs, and all of that cool stuff. But I digress. The hubs LOVES their Kreamed Corn, and it was available in cans only during our visit - but we did find a great flight and a few pours of some other really good beers. The merch is also ON POINT and we picked up a Tin sign to display at home. I really wanted a hoodie - but will get it next time. The cooler in the front area was great for take out. I was happy to get a Mr. Tea 4 pack to be able to try a few other varieties of this as well - peach being a favorite so far. We also had the Red Dead Revelvet - and it was SO GOOD...like I had to bring a bunch home kinda good. And I don't even like red velvet. We will TOTALLY go back to Burn 'Em when in the area for the good beers and good people. Edited to add: Per recommendation from the friendly folks on the patio - we visited Bare Bones Gastropub (a Burn 'Em affiliate) in La Porte for dinner that night... SO GOOD!
