First, we were a big party ( a party of 11) but since they only allowed 8 ppl per table we split out party into 2 tables close to each other which was alright and understandable because of covid guidelines. However, the service was absolutely horrendous and our waitress had an attitude and tried to low ball us by telling us we only had 10 minutes left of the happy hour in which we all paid for when in reality the happy hour is supposed to be 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas. I had to talk to the manager because of this situation. Then, they took forever to bring out all the food. They were all over the place. One of the tables was missing appetizers. Not only that but our waitress was taking forever to bring out the Mimosas and we wasted most of our 90 minutes just waiting. It came to a point that some random drunk guy sat at our table without our permission and then he took my boyfriends jacket. The Garden is easily located, it's about three miles past Kean University up Morris Ave. ambience is super cool, everything is grassy and they have paintings of animals and such along their walls. The food was incredibly average and that was a little disappointing considering the energy they try to emulate ! I ordered two eggs over medium with Canadian bacon and home fries, it was good but nothing special. The main attraction here is that they have bottomless mimosas for $18.99. The mimosas were kind of skimpy and it was disappointing. We had to ask different waitresses for refills and when your bottomless drinks are timed, you want to have the mimosas accessible. Saturday Night Drinks & Fin. It's still my birthday and I wanted to continue celebrating with my girls. We had 8pm reservations our party of 8. Check in was seamless & we were seated right away. About 10 mins after being seated the hookah girl came by offering hookah. We got the Passion Citrus which was really good. It's about 20 mins since our arrival finally our waiter introduced himself. We ordered our drinks and appetizers at the same time because who knew when we would see him again. Frozen drinks were strong and full of flavor. Appetizers hot and seasoned well. I had such a great experience at The Garden! The food was AMAZING. We were a party of 10 and everyone commented on how good the food was. During brunch on Saturdays and Sundays they have a bottomless mimosa & Bellini option. The staff was great with going around periodically to refill.. our cups were never empty. Our waiter Jonathan checked in frequently and it was perfect. He provided great service. The service from all the staff was great in general. Been here twice, wanted to give a second chance. The first time I went with friends for brunch. Drinks were good but the food was pretty bad, no seasoning, no flavor to any of the dishes. Second time we went for dinner and it was raining out that night. As soon as you walk in the floor (they had a green carpet all throughout the restaurant) was soaked. It was like walking through a puddle. The hostess actually joked and said "want to go swimming!" The entrées took over 40mins to be received and when they did they were cold. I ordered churrasco cooked medium and it was very well done. We had not finished our food when we started to receive to-go containers lol. Ok, well then the desserts arrived and again we didn't get to choose and we had to share them as well. The cake my table got was beautiful to look at but omg was it dry and nasty. Overall, I didn't enjoy the food at all. Music & ambiance: The music is EXTREMELY loud. Club type loudness. We had a very difficult time trying to talk to each other. It was good music and the dj was entertaining, if that's what you're looking for but I personally want to be able to exchange some type of conversation. The place is nice looking, a bunch of fake trees all around. It is a very small place. The bathroom is even smaller and they don't refill the toilet paper. We had order many drinks and bottles of patron and there was also a bottle of champagne. We were enjoying ourselves a lot. We had half of bottle of tequila left when we were told we had to leave. Apparently, they have a limit on how long you can stay, which I could understand had we not received our food 35- 45mins apart and not been buying endless drinks and even BOTTLES!!!! WE tried to talk with the manager I guess if that's who he was and nope, they gave no fxcks at all. We literally got thrown out. I would highly NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. I went here last night for a "ladies night" and birthday celebration. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The security guard made sure I knew all the rules upon entering. I found it to be useful to have that information at the door. In order to get the menu, you have to scan the QMR code which I LOVED because that meant I didn't have to touch germy, nasty menus. The food was good and it came out quick but the frozen drinks were even better! This place can be a little pricey depending on what you order but overall a cool vibe. I'm definitely going back. Now they decide to tell me that they can't serve me hookah because I was seated inside so I asked if that was the case why seat me inside, the excuse was they don't seat one person.
