Lots of cute items, unfortunately I don't need anything but I did buy a cork coaster. I have a lot of Lighthouse pictures going down my staircase and they had a coaster with a lighthouse, perfect. Everyone was friendly and the had lots to choose from. read more

We've lived in Cambria for over 2 years and finally got around to visiting the most amazing gift and card shop in all of SLO county ... Among Friends in downtown Cambria. This charming little store has the most incredible inventory of unique gifts, including jewelry and handcrafted items. The card selection is second to none! We were fortunate enough to meet the store owner, Susan, and she was absolutely delightful! She's owned the store for over thirty years and her passion and commitment to excellence is on full display. I drove all the way over from Paso Robles to get my yard art I wanted. Came from Reno especially to get it. The website said they opened at 11:30 am. I spoke to a lady as she was going in (employee) and said they were opening in 15 minutes. Waited another half hour and still not open Left a phone message. Nothing. They lost a lot of business while I was waiting. Had to get back to Paso to head home. Poor customer service. Should open when advertised. I guess they are on their own time. Will not recommend this place to anyone. And they will NEVER GET MY BUSINESS!!! read more

Last month I was looking for a place in Cambria that could blow up giant balloons for my party. After I called Among Friends I knew they were fit to get the job done. The owner Scott was very helpful in explaining the cost & labor. Believe I or not, not all shops are willing to blow up giant balloons! The day of the event, which is when I dropped off the balloons, Scott was there to personally ensure everything ran smoothly. Based on the AMAZING customer service alone, Among Friends is the place to shop when in town! read more

It's right next door to Sow's ear. This is a great place to pick up souvenirs and little knick knack collectible type stuff. They sell lots of the stuff you'll find in other stores for a much cheaper price. They also sell things like candles, candy, greeting cards, small wine selection, lotions, bath gels, etc. read more

I love this shop in Cambria. They have so many beautiful, locally made items. I bought two creations by Dee. I didn't realize she was the cashier that day until we struck up a conversation. She's so sweet! A great place to shop for yourself or for gifts for others. Their prices are reasonable, too. I will definitely return! read more

I love this store. Have gone the last three times I went to Cambria. It's in my top five favorites to visit. They have such a wide variety of everything. Love the jewelry and even local moonstones, which I bought one this time. Even has fudge and candy and purses. Just about everything. If you need a gift while in Cambria great selection of things. Went in with my service dog and they had a dog behind the counter that started ferociously barking and clawing at the barrier between the counter and us. Freaked us out so we left. Too bad they had cute stuff. read more

The best customer service, ever! My wife saw a purse she loved but we left town in the morning before the store opened. I called Kathy and explained what it looked like. She took pictures on her phone and messaged me and within a few minutes we found the exact purse and it was on the way. It came within a couple of days and is exactly right and I'm a hero. Super cute shop that features goods from local artists. The sales personnel are friendly and helpful. I bought a book for my niece and chocolates for me. Yummy! Very nice shop. Walked in tonight when everything was already closed. They are open till 9pm which is a blast. Super shop full of everything from sea glasses to nice cards to very nice and not expensive silver jewlery to soaps and whatever you can imagine to give as a gift. Plus the people there are super cool and nice and available to answer questions on where to eat and what to do. read more

Bought several articles which I liked but a glass wine stopper was not in my bag when I came home. I called the store and spoke to Scott who stated that his video camera showed that he put the item in my bag. He stated that he put the stopper in a purple cloth bag instead of the box I had requested. Why would you put a fragile glass item in a cloth bag? He said the store was not responsible since their video camera shows him putting the stopper in my bag with a bottle of wine I purchased. So he put two glass items together according to him. Wow! I guess It is his word against mine. Poor service. read more

One of the ladies that works here is what's wrong with the world today!!! I just moved here and I came in to look at the cute things and she was very very rude and unwelcoming! She was old but that Does not give her a right to be rude! I told everyone I know not to shop here and go anywhere and I mean anywhere else. Unless you feel like having a old lady acting cold to you. Like you shouldn't be In here. Very very disappointed in this city. read more

Such wonderful, friendly people! My daughter got sick while at a local camp and I called this store on the chance that they might deliver a stuffed animal to cheer her up. Scott, the owner was so sweet and understanding and so willing to help. Can't say enough good things about them! I will definitely be giving them my business when I'm next in Cambria! We walked into this store and noticed these huge wooden fish and whales hanging from the ceiling. Each one was different and unique! We loved them! They know the artist and have found a clever way to hang them inside and outside of their store. Besides these items, the store is full of interesting items. It's a fun to walk in and check things out! You are sure to find something clever to take home! read more
