As soon as I met Catherine, I knew my search was over. I knew she and her staff were the ones for me. They handled everything from start to finish and even did an inventory of everything for me which was really helpful. That alone would have been a burden for me to do. The sale was super organized and because we had some antiques and vintage stuff, there were people lined up outside waiting to be first in. The bulk of our stuff sold the first day but the sale went for a total of 3 days and what little was left, we donated. I was hoping to sell several large items in the five figure range as well as many collectible pieces of Herend, Lladro, Royal Copenhagen and Waterford. The two day set up was a disaster. Their pricing methodology was a joke. I was hands on and kept a list of my items with the pricing. I was told this was a waste of time. Later, I found out why. All my collectibles were sold at garage sale prices. Also, items in my home not marked for sale were sold for peanuts without asking. I was ordered out of my home one hour prior to the sale start time on Day #1. They needed this time to "embellish" my sale without my knowledge. These items included fur coats on a rack, many purses of all sizes, scarves , "Chanel" sunglasses and professional jewelry cases. At the end of day #1 of the sale I arrived home with my house left unlocked and no staff present. My living room had been turned into a retail shop. The second day of the sale I arrived to my home earlier to be screamed at by the manager as their items from my living room were being packed up. No customers present. At my insistence I was handed a poor list of my items sold. I could only take a photo copy of it. I was then paid my 60%. Catherine made herself unavailable for the entire four day fiasco. Her "manager" was the most abusive, ruthless and uncaring human being I have ever dealt with. Please stay away at all cost! Beware!!!

John Moran auctioneers (Bob Cullen) got back to me saying they too could not identify the artist but they were very interested in putting the painting in an upcoming auction. I was totally interested in consigning. It wasn't my first rodeo as I sell vintage and sold through Swann in NYC. Swann has handled individual prints for me but not a painting. So I was hoping to find a local auction house for the painting to avoid shipping it. Swann charges 15% commission. I was waiting to hear back from Moran as I was planning to drop the painting off. That is until I heard their fee would be 35% plus a $50 fee for photography. To me that is highway robbery. I reached out to Swann as, at that rate, I'd rather ship it to them.

Mike works with his lovely wife Elena in something of a partnership and between these two and their small but knowledgeable team, you get a truly fun estate sale experience! Because we did not live locally, they went above and beyond to work with us to make sure everything went smoothly. They were very respectful of our needs and wishes.  We had some difficult items to sell and some difficult conditions, yet they tackled it all with professionalism and a great attitude. They were also very good communicators-keeping us well informed and communicating often.  They were a pleasure to work with. Yikes. One of the most unprofessional estate sale companies ive ever walked into. First off, no…read moresmiles or greetings from the 5 people they had on site. Everyone working was on their phones when I walked in and cold and distant. Not a good start. The sale was in a smaller home with entry of the sale only through the garage. They had two cars parked in the driveway, which made getting into the garage very difficult as it was a very tight squeeze. You also couldn't tell there was a sale there with the cars parked there. I almost walked out because I thought it was only the items in the garage. the lady working the front didn't even mention there was more in the house! No signage even on the street before the sale. Prices were high for what they had. if you're going to price items high, your company should at least use nicer price tags to showcase the items. not painters tape that say $500. also the owners replies on here.... whoa. will not be returning.
