The whitening itself was smooth, borderline meditative, with Therabody leg sleeves quietly pulsing as if to say: relax, we've got this. I almost fell asleep, which is not something I ever thought I'd say in a dental chair. No pain, no weird aftertaste, no false promises just clean, calm, and clinically dialed. The procedure did whiten my teeth but overall not worth the cost. The effects did not last as long as with other whitening treatments I have done, and I got a lot of painful sensations during the treatment and for days afterwards. It was apparent they rolled the red carpet for any instagram influencer whereas regular people were treated as an inconvenience. The difference in tone when they talk to different rooms is honestly comical. Guess it works tho as I'm pretty sure I originally heard about them via an ig ad. The custom fitted trays you get made from your dentist are a much better investment, that you can do at home or while commuting. Parking also a headache in the neighborhood. read more

I was nervous about teeth sensitivity so intentionally booked at the Gleamery after reading reviews ( a bit of a hike for me as I'm from Santa Barbara). Let me start by saying that this is NOT a relaxing process, however the staff at The Gleamery do their best....I was rigged up with compression boots, heated/ vibrating goggles, and constant checks by the hygienist. The only reason the process wasn't relaxing is due to the constant swallowing that is necessary throughout the process so as not to allow too much saliva to accumulate in the mouth and mix with the gel ( if I got TOO relaxed, I swallowed the bitter gel taste, which quickly jolted me back to reality). Note that I also opted for a cleaning, which was painless as well. While my results are not " Hollywood White" as I was expecting, they look natural and most importantly I experienced ZERO tooth sensitivity, nothing short of a miracle for me. The Gleamery sent me home with a goody bag that included sensitivity trays which I will save for my at home whitening between professional visits. You won't just gleam after a trip to the Gleamery, you'll sparkle! I've truly never had an experience like this before. I came in for a whitening and immediately was greeted warmly by the staff. It's clear from the moment you step in that gone are the days of harsh fluorescent traditional dentist lighting and utilitarian environments. Time to say hello and give welcome to the warm and inviting atmosphere. It's like stepping into your favorite coffee shop where the barista knows your name and you immediately feel at home. I was led to the brush bar where I got a take home toothbrush & tube of toothpaste. I gave myself a quick brush, we then took a 'before' photo and then was led to my chair. I've never had a professional whitening before so wasn't quite sure what to expect. The hygienist laid down a protective layer on my gums and gave really clear instructions on how to make the process seamless. They outfitted me with some therabody leg sleeves that help with circulation and massaged throughout the session. It was so comfy I almost fell asleep! Though I had no issues with sensitivity, the hygienist checked in every few minutes to make sure I wasn't tasting anything weird or feeling any pain. Nope! Application was artfully done! After the treatment I walked out feeling as though I had just visited the spa. My teeth were immediately whiter and she said that it'd be up to 48 hrs before the full effects of the treatment were realized. We snapped a quick after photo immediately following. This review is long overdue, but that just means I've had more opportunities to interact with The Gleamery and I have to say I am very impressed. It is really rare to find a company that operates with integrity and kindness throughout all financial and contractual discussions and I was incredibly touched at the way they handled a point of concern. Additionally, I've gotten the best dental cleaning of my life here, and with a single whitening treatment I saw results. Every staff member I've interacted with has been knowledgeable and friendly, and even when I have tools in my mouth we still manage to chat and laugh. And just for context- I had tried aligners with another company and they made my teeth worse! I also left other dental offices feeling like my teeth weren't completely clean. So when I say how pleased I am with The Gleamery it is with full confidence that I've checked out the competition and The Gleamery is head and shoulders above other services. I've just started aligners with The Gleamery and so far the treatment is noticeably of higher quality. One of the best things about this office is that they're open 7 days a week, so I didn't have to miss work for my appointment--such a game changer. This review is purely based on the results and actual timing of my 60 minute whitening procedure..as far as the front staff, they were incredibly sweet and helpful and absolutely loved my experience in that sense. The dental hygienist was nice, but after my session she told me that because we went over with the time..I had actually only done about 40 minutes of actual whitening..? not sure why because I made sure to get there 10 minutes early..and was seated at the time of my appointment..so I was pretty bummed that for the price I paid, I wasn't getting the full time to whiten my teeth. Honestly, today I see no difference and I'm pretty upset. While I did take advantage of a promotion they had which made it cheaper than usual, I feel like $250 is pretty much down the drain. The experience itself is relaxing and I had no sensitivity/pain - but as far as the actual procedure I was paying for - I kind of feel like they tried to mask the real outcome (my teeth being noticeably whiter) with all the bells & whistles of a spa (compression pants, headphones) etc. I would have preferred to have my teeth to be whiter than this..and had no add ons. pretty disappointed. my boyfriend and my mom commented that my teeth also looked no different than when I came in. :( read more
